They advised her to release Plastic Hearts on Black Friday holiday that all the retailers don’t put physical copies out on the shelves for weeks and did damage her sale numbers. They also pulled all the songs off the radio. Had Dua Lipa’s label profit off Prisoner. This new label Columbia did her career justice

It’s not only a mirror of “If I Was Your Man” in the lyrics, it’s even in the same key. The workout scenes are a nod to all of the times when Liam was supposedly working out but was actually with other women.

So much a disco/country vibe. On the third time through I finally got why it sounds so "familiar."
Not only the clear reference to "When I was Your Man" but the fact that I love disco and actually have performed Bruno's song from the female's point of view myself. ("When You We're My Man")

I instantly fell in love with Miley when I saw her cover of Jolene in backyard sessions. This was fresh in the beginning of her music career after her show and the climb. So what I've seen is He dedicated "if i was your man" to her on their wedding day. The house that she filmed the video in is the house he was taking the other women to while he was cheating and telling her he was going "workout" which is why she's exercising. I used to listen to a lot of Miley so you can imagine my surprise when I finally come back to see how she’s doing and her style has taken a flip. I seriously like the minimal production honestly, it brings out the husky part of her voice that’s always been so distinct to me.

Hey, I really enjoy watching your reaction more like "informative" of her voice and singing technique.... I absolutely have no knowledge about singing or vocal... But I have a very good ear which I really enjoy and appreciate music very much since I can't sing. I was born during the 70's and I remember many many singers in Vietnam tried to have this special voice by smoking million pack of cigarette, doing Coke "The good stuff", drinking like a camel and many sleepless night to be able to have this voice. When I heard this song from Miley, It reminds me that old story and I thought she had a very special gift as a female singer with dry rastery voice which is rare to the music world. I don't know anything about the drama behind the song but all I know it's extremely well written, positive message and uplifting to sing along in the shower get ready for the night with buddies to go out and celebrating life.

I will be honest, those first few seconds, where Miley's enunciation sounded like her jaw was wired shut, had me worried. But, dear me, by the end of the song I was hooked!!
