There's nothing more ironic than Mystic7 saying Don't buy a Nintendo Switch to get Gimmighoul and Gholdengo, only to follow it up with a sponsored ad by the Pokemon Company, to get you to buy a Switch and Scarlet/Violet to play thier in game Halloween event. Not your best decision Mystic, lmao.
Also, I guess I'll add this here. While I understand the point of this video: Don't spend money on Pokemon that aren't useful, the meta usage of Pokemon isn't everything in this game. There is over 800 Pokemon to register in your dex, and over 1,000 Pokemon in the franchise. Of course not every Pokemon is gonna be useful, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't care. Pokemon has always been about "Catching Them All" and completing the Pokedex; and not every Pokemon needs to be useful, in my opinion. Just enjoy the process of catching and having Pokemon, because they are all cool in their own way. Just my two cents.

@@user-bm3vd7cr8idefinitely agree with this, I've been mostly hunting for shiny zubat for a long time since it's my favourite pokemon and I have not gotten it's shiny from the wild (I've only gotten it from trades). So for part one for the Halloween event, I've been looking for one and I ended up getting it.

@@mixttime Lmao. Not no mention that you don't need to purchase it to get Gimmigoul or Gholdengo. I know a few people who have never played the MSG's but are good friends with people who do and have them. You just need to know someone with a Switch and S/V, and pay attention to your local community for golden lure parties. Or like he said, have someone trade Goldengo to you who has spares.
Wut? Ferrothorn is pretty good in Great League with very good defense on top of superior defensive typing. Offense needs some planning but great pokemon and one of my latter generation favs

For someone who doesn't like the pvp scene and consider myself to be a collector, they are all worth it. Couldn't go to the live events so i'm hoping skiddo and gogoat will eventually be released globally after Mexico safari
and hopefully befoure its particular region tour to.... but maybe..alot of regionals has had events where they have been awailable ..all of gen 1-2-3 ofc do there tours but also a few others from events i cant remember.

I've taken a bit of a break from hunting it, but this year my big hunt has been a Lundo Gholdengo, I currently have 1600 coins, I refuse to evolve a Gimmighoul until I get my Lundo
I got a hundo on a trade - not lucky (unfortunately). I already have it maxed out. Also have 2137 Gimmighoul Coins on top of that to evolve two others. Will likely go with a good-stats one I have for Ultra-League. Might be good in some limited cups at some point.
I got a 98 in the wild. Good enough for me

Also fantastic in Ultra League. I have been running a triple XL team of Dragalge, Ferrothorn and Talonflame and it is super-fun. Catching Greninja, Swampert and Walrein with Ferrothorn is the best, it walls Cresselias running leaf blade and moonblast, and even has play against Giratina if you have shield advantage.

Ferrothorn is actually pretty decent in GL & UL (and can be pretty insane in some limited cups)

What's so crazy about cryogonal is one literally spawned in my daily incense yesterday when I decided to take a walk on a whim. Interesting
Buddy functionality idea / introduction of “bottle caps”:
What if for a certain amount of Km walked with a buddy, the buddied Pokémon were to find a bottle cap where, when applied, would increase or decrease the buddy’s IVs by 1.
For this idea, let’s say the Km needed to “find a bottle cap” were based on the rarity of the Pokémon and would multiply by 1.2x each IV gained.
For example, based on the eggs the Pokémon hatch from, or the level raid needed for the reward encounter, would determine if you needed 20 (tier1), 30 (tier3), 40 (tier4) or 50Km (tier5) walked for a single IV change. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Charmander, they would need to walk 148.832km (round to 149) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Gible, they would need to walk 297.664km (round to 298) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Mewtwo, they would need to walk 446.496km (round to 447) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. The same math would be applied to reduce IVs for PVP Pokemon.
In addition to finding bottle caps with your buddy walking, perhaps they could be found in other activities by your buddy. Such as spinning stops/ raids/ gym battling / etc. This would also be EXTREMELY rare.
To avoid problems with caught 100%s, the stat changes could be visibly different than normal stats with the following:
* a notation on the Pokémon screen
* different colored IVs showing a bottle cap was applied
* the CP of these bottle capped Pokémon would be -1 of actual 100%s or PVP IVed caught Pokémon
* the 100% bottle capped would not be searchable with 4* but would have a search just for “bottle capped.”
Pros:
- This would make spoofing or radar services less profitable and encourages more gameplay with the same Pokémon.
- Entices player to “bond” with a single Pokémon for longer and therefore play the game more often to get the coveted 100% dex.
- Allows all types of players to get 100%s while also not flooding the player base with actual 100%s.
Cons:
- All players would have access to the best Pokémon if they walk enough
- The need to catch all Pokémon would be reduced slightly
If you can think of any other pros/cons, reply to this comment so we can share our thoughts about the idea and maybe someone at Niantic will pick it up! Ideas welcomed and I’ll update the post accordingly.

I managed to hatch a 4* vullaby and i actually caught shiny ferroseed with my autocatcher while doing a raid during go fest. I didn’t realize i had the shiny in my account until about 5 minutes after!
I'm still so mad I missed Passimian, I have it registered as seen in the pokedex, but I think that's cuz someone had one in a gym or something
tecnicly that is not registered as registered means you have at least caugh 1of them as thats when the massive 'HAS BEEN REGISTERED TO THE POEDEX' pop up happends and you get your 1000bonus xp. but its super rare...i only have 1 and im hunting the lucky dex.

This video got released to not long before the event where cryogenols we're everywhere and it was real easy to get multiple shinies lol. The mandibuzz though i use ALOT in the 1500 league, if you set it up with a dark and flying charged attacks you can spam your opponent with charged attacks.

I got a shiny kleavor randomly when I was in Yosemite for the weekend. I hopped on pokemon go and saw him in a raid so soloed it and got a shiny one and done. Never knew it was rare til now.
it all depend on how you seem rare...if a pokemon had a raid day a insence day a reseatch day or a community day its not rare for me. but i guess if you missed those and think of how often its wildly awailable to all..then yes it is rare(looks at my xxl shiny)

Honestly I think not keeping pvp relevant pokemon locked behind these huge hurdles is a great way to keep the casual player base invested, cus they don’t have to spend incredible amounts of time to do well in PvP. That being said, I understand the frustration hardcore players experience when they grind for hours to get a Pokémon only for it to turn out to be mediocre or bad
Just caught me an xxs 15/15/15 hundo spiritomb with a cp of a staggering 888.
Idk if these are rare tho
about 1/216, but Spiritomb has never been a wild spawn and has only been in research encounters a few times, so yeah super rare and cool!

How can you say Ferrothorn has no play in GBL??!! Its been core meta in so many of the limited cups you're just looking at the core leagues and then calling it useless which is incorrect as it has A LOT of play in limited formats, usually at least one cup per season.
