- A brief overview of another watch in my collection, a Seiko ref 6119-6023.
Vintage Seiko's are fast becoming collectable and this gem is one i keep solely for aesthetic enjoyment. Whilst some can argue that a watch should be worn this is one i keep solely to be admired.

I like it best especially its crystal face
I remember there was a quick set date function by pushing in the crown.. so the crown has three function.. 1. Set the rotating inner bezel 2. Set the time 3. Date quick set pusher.
I watch this watch too. Mine has a light blue dial in pristine condition. Beautiful watch.

Sir I have a 6119-6023 but the caseback design is different from yours. It looks like a caseback of 6309 dress watches also.

I also have this watch. Belonged to my grandad. Never knew the bezel rotated until watching this. Lol
I would love to wear it but the strap is adjusted too small and I can’t find additional links anywhere. Don’t really want to swap out the original strap for a new one.

Hi, very interesting vid, I have one exactly the same it would need a new glass as this one got marked by the splashes from an arc welder (strange how that affects glass oh and eyes) it could do with a little polish to to compete with yours. But I don't ware it either just sits in a draw, but what would it be worth to a collector? Many thanks for any help. Steve G
I have the same watch, runs but the crown is missing. Would love to get it restored, my dad gave it to me when I was 7, but would prob cost me more than the watch is worth.

number 141526 TL. I have this watch (not working) today. Can you tell
me some information about year of production this watch and country? Is
the TL in number means Thailand?
Hi Jan, The first two numbers in the serial number are the date of production. The first is the year and the second is the month. Your watch would be April 1971. I do not know what the TL means. It usually says on the dial where it was made. I am pretty sure your watch was made in Japan.

I have the same watch. Not in pristine condition but still working perfectly...... (it belonged to my late Father ... who wore it everyday). Different strap though ...much finer links. Was this model from the late 70s early 80s?
I just got my late father's watch today and it is the same Seiko. I want to restore it, it is working. Needs new crystal glass and I want to find out that crystal maker that Mike mentions in the video.

My father's is also well worn ...Quite a few scratches on the crystal. I'm just going to keep it as it is. Still keeps time incredibly well .... Amazing as it was only very recently found after being stored for 16 years. They are certainly built to last.
I also have my late fathers just like this minus the band mine is 9 ounces of Navajo silver with turquoise and red coral. And it's still tickin
Greetings, my question is because some are 70 waterproof, resist and others only say Sports 21 jewels.
El más común del 5 sport está muy bien pero como as dicho lo as retocado mucho lo menos plexi original y repuestos originales a se respeta esta precioso yo tengo el mismo y tengo uno poco visto en 5 sports de esa época en reloj con la misma caja que el cronografo conocido como brucee Lee con caja 41mm sin bisel interno precioso traído del mercado japonés el cual lo tengo nos todo original y sin síntomas de desgaste lo único la luminosa a perdido toda fuerza pero se mantiene en su sitio y no pienso retocarlo mientras está se mantenga y no manche de polvo la esfera son guapísimos calibre fiable y caballo de batalla de la épica aunque seiko contaba con más calibres que hoy en día de guerra lo que les hace especiales a los 5 sport es la resistencia al agua y las cajas los calibres no son especiales se incorporaban 6119 en muchos modelos pero fiable y preciso que desde en punto de vista holorogia es lo que in pirra precisión y esque al que nos guste seiko yo prefiero los de los 70 los 60 vintage a lis de aora la comtruccion es mejor en seiko la de antes
