The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

I never heard this sequel, and it's almost as hilarious as the original!
I think the funniest part of the song was him forgetting his line near the end. Whether intentional or not, it was a good laugh.
Oh, no, it wasn't at all intentional! He was truly embarrassed. Let's hear it for LIVE TV! 😂
The missing lyrics :
"He wakes up at
Half past six and....
Goes directly
To the quicksand!"
Thanks for that!😄✌️
He wakes up at half past six, and
Goes directly to the quicksand.
He was lonely, now he's better.
He's like all of us, except his bed is wetter!
All these years, I never knew he had written a second version of his famous song. This one is just as funny as the first.
I agree. it is equally not funny.

@@OriginalCoastalDistancing Fortunately, for you, it is not a crime, in this country, to be an idiot.
Just discovered this today. Didn't know there was a follow up either.
Almost 3 years earlier Allan was nearly on top of the world with his #2 single, "Hello Mudduh, Hello Fadduh". Before "Weird" Al, it was Allan Sherman who spoofed a popular song with his 1965 top 40 single, "Crazy Downtown".
His LP, "My Son, the Folk Singer went to #1 in 1962. Sadly, he passed away young at just the age of 48, 7 years after this show aired.
I used to hear my grandad playing this on the radio, I was pro 10, move forward 48 years, I'm 58 and I can't stop playing this, love it❤
The beat on this version is 🔥
Grew up in the 1960’s listening to the album “My Son The Folksinger” and simply laughing my ass off. Great stuff.
the second muddah faddah is a HOOT THE FIRST ONE IS GREAT BUT THIS IS A HOOT !!!!!!!!!!!!😂😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Great to see it - I loved the original and this is fantastic too. Allan Sherman was indicative of the era - "they don't make 'em like that anymore!"
I still own six (of eight) original Allan Sherman LPs and committed them to memory decades ago. He still makes me laugh and I still marvel at how clever and witty he was. This is a gem.
Thank you. I do not remember this Ed Sullivan show. Hello Mudduh was probably the first record my mother ever bought for me.
my first victrola only played 45's .. a huge stack. This was my first 45 bought too. I still possess many of my childhood and up vinyl..
Never knew he did another version. It's as good as the first.
I only just found out as well! It's really good too!
AHHHHHHHHH MY grandpa use to sing this when I was younger I miss him sooooo much.
He’s was really great
I was eight years old when the original _Hello Mudduh, Hello Fadduh_ came out and at the time thought it was the most perfect song ever! I still find it most cleverly amusing, and the lyrics of this reboot are just as entertaining.
Thanks for posting Allan's self-proclaimed "medley of his hit!"
I had to sing camp Granada in jr high, and never found it all that funny, but this version of it cracked me up.
🤣Aww, too bad he forgot that last part. Always loved that song though. This sequel was pretty funny. Lenny Bruce at Camp Granada...oh my!!👀😂
I like it! That’s my new Carioca song!
"Carioca"???? Is that some kind of pudding dessert?
Karaoke?
PERFECT.
Just Good Wholesome Entertainment. And to think, he made people laugh using 0% vulgarity. Thank you for sharing! 💖
AND best of ALL; NO POLITICS!! 👍👍👍
@@lewiscarey1593 True! 👍
@@lewiscarey1593because the 50s were awesome, gays and communists had to stay in the closet
Ah so funny. Didn't know this existed. 🤣
Good memories
COOL 🥰🥰🥰🥰 CHA CHA CHA
Even pros make mistakes! Refreshing to see. Hope he wasn't hard on himself like I woulda been. Lol
Lovely.
I'd forgotten this tbh 😅😂
al i am sure was inspired by allan sherman and there is something about watching allan sing live which is special
He was such a trailblazer, forgetting songs on live TV 30 + years before Ashlee Simpson.
I would love to know what Ed said to Allen backstage after the show !! Ed probably said
"Nice recovery from your
brainfart " !!!
Marge, is Lisa at Camp Granada?
Very funny
They’re like: “Oh, a stripper at our world renowned ballet school, that certainly classes things up….”
Bart Simpsons really let himself go.
Ooopsi at the endsi,, that’s ok cause I regroupsi
He looks just like Kevin James…lol
I can see Kevin doing this…lol
😀👍🏽
Is Lisa at Camp Granada?
Hello Muddah hello Fadduh it's 2022 why do I bother born in 01 used to be fun but nowadays people just scream and holler. But that's them though and I ain't them though and I grew up playing Nintendo staying inside playing outside but these days hardly look out of my window.
The Simpson’s anyone ?
Yes 😂 Marge! Is Lisa at camp Granada?
I love it when Bart hides the tape from the answering machine inside the Allen Sherman cassette case so no one will ever listen to it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Isn't it made over a classic music? But what?!!
Great, even though he had a brain fart. LOL!
Wasn't Allan Sherman Jewish? I think he was.
Woke culture would cancel him. Good thing this was done in better times.
Yeah, "better times" like the Vietnam war era.
And if he had two wheels, he would’ve been a bicycle.
@@manofmanyinterests Better times = No "woke" culture
@Akruu Nope. I'd rather change our country back for the better.
@@michaelschwader7944 What is it exactly you're complaining about? People getting treated with respect?
This is punchier, but both this and the original are good.
