I think this is probably the best acting in all of Arnold's career. Also as a kid growing up watching all his movies it's the only time I felt he was vulnerable and Arnies character might be killed. In all his other films he seemed indestructible
Conan The Barbarian
Billy’s laugh would be terrifying to hear in an abandoned house
Especially when it’s mimicked by the predator.
Shit it would be terrifying in a full house. Actually I can’t think of a situation where it wouldn’t be.
@@jaystreet46
A brightly lit room where you know exactly where he is at all times was literally the only situation I could think of.
Or anywhere, for that matter.
The predator’s laugh was scary in the end too!!! just kidding!!! that laugh gave me the Michael Jackson Thriller ending vibes
I think many people forget how Kevin Peter Hall made Predator a global icon, Many remember the Hunter not the man behind the hunter.
This film is pretty much.... Perfect.
I honestly can't think of any weakness.
Even the SFX still look perfect.
It has aged amazingly well.
Possibly the greatest monster film of all time.
“Stick Around!
i love it. But it is highly misogynistic
jim mc no one cares
How? The only female character is actually portrayed to be smart, resourceful and cunning
They don't make em like this anymore...
I was about to say the exact thing. Where are the manly movies? the cheesy but unforgettable one liners?
I'm just glad that the predator series isn't dead. Ridley Scott ruined the Alien series with Covenant and Prometheus.
Too much soy
Shane Black's movie will kill the series on the big screen. Maybe we'll get a quality TV series in the future though.
now everyone is sensitive... anything done will offend 1 or 2 people hidden in an attic someplace with access to the internet. someone someplace will complain, it will snowball, people will start taking shit seriously and it will end up with e-pitchforks and e-torches calling for boycotts and the heads of the actors, directors, makeup artists, costume designers, script writers, janitors, caterers that were part of said film.
"If it bleeds, we can kill it"
Mr Krunch unless its chuck Norris
OblivionKisame Chuck Norris doesn't bleed, he just let's his blood go on holiday every once in a while
Mr Krunch exactly!
Chuck Norris stepped on a lego once.......(r.i.p lego brick).
I ain't got time to bleed! 😁
It was the preparation music that gave Dutch the edge.
duberdurm what gave Dutch the edge was not the music it was actually the fact that Chuck Norris was on his shoulder whispering in his ear!
Most chilling moment was when the Pred dropped into the water shortly after Dutch came out... I remember watching this the first time...it was such an inconceivably terrifying creature.
I felt the most chilling moment was when Mac was attacked by the pig. He got him tho!
In the movie they never actually found Hawkins' body, which was hung high in the trees, just a pile of his innards. All the soldiers were greatly disturbed by their inability to locate it.

Wots got billy so spuked
John Ivan Oplimo I ain't got time to bleed.

"You one ugly muthafucka."
"You're hit, you're bleeding man."
"I ain't got time to bleed."
Best lines of the movie in my opinion. Great video!
Mac's threat to Dillon always creeped me out in so many ways when I would hire Predator from my local video rental shop. The sheer coldness Bill Duke portrayed on screen made his character so believable.
“Ya ghostin us mothaf*cka! I don’t care who ya are back in the world…you give up our position one more time, I’ll bleed you. Real quiet..and leave ya here. GOT DAT?!?”
I watched this movie at least 5 dozens times in elementary school. I've seen it with my dad at least 2 dozen times. I didn't have nightmares though. I only had nightmares of chucky haha
alejandro L. The original IT did it for me
alejandro L. Chucky ruined a whole year of my life
damn haha. only way i stopped having nightmares was when chucky bit my hand, and i used my strength to rip his head apart. no more nightmares after that haha
alejandro L. I wish i that happened during one my nightmares i remember one nightmare chucky and his minions had taken over my house and tortured me and my family in our kitchen i had woke up when he had got to me that was probably the worst one since its the only one i remember well
Ikr chucky the reason why still to this day I don't like oversized dolls 😒😒🤦♀️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷♀️

trycoldman23 I see you everywhere...
trycoldman23 Go Now!!! Aarrghhh!!
it’s crazy how directors and producers can take a vision in there head into a full scale re enactment of what they see in there head
It's crazy how literally everything mankind has ever done from agriculture to rockets that can leave the planet, started as an idea in someone's head.
Jonathan Gibbs ya that’s true
Jakub pogubila also when it comes to making movies and tv, it's more of an collaboration between directors, producers, writers and actors. Projects suffer when one person tries to impose their unique vision on everyone else involved. Eg some of the best performances and memorable scenes come from actors improvising! When they are forced to adhere to strict vision you get the starwars prequels.
That's why Ideas can change the World
It's amazing how the graphics in 1980 are better than some of the graphics In 2017
That laugh of Billy's, is the mannest laugh I have heard, yet!
Predator.. Commando.. T1 T2. Running man.. Total recall.. Goddamn arnold got classics😂😂
Fun fact : Sonny Landham had a bodyguard on set of the filming, not to protect him but to protect the crew from him. He had a nasty habit of getting into brawls with anyone and everyone.
*He was also a former porno actor. Although, I doubt the real reason of the bodyguards to be true, the cast were known to always be trying to out macho each other in the set during the shoot. Even waking up at dawn to pump weights before anyone else is awake.
its true its damn true
Okooolll
nobody brawls infront of arnold whiteout arnold's consent
@@tombombadilofficial probably wanted to best man arny tbh
I use to think the predator was Jamaican because of its dreadlocks...😶.
Ty your not the only one Lol
I used to think the same thing maan
I loved Predator and Alien growing up... being a little girl watching Arnold and this and other movies made me feel brave and I would feel so captivated by these worlds
This also torpedoed a lot of Jamaica’s tourism industry right after lol
@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx5 Technically they culturally appropriated the Predators, they're way older than humanity.
this one of the greatest movie ever made!
The amount of depth you put into this video is insane, I’ve never understood the amount of strenuous work that was involved into production of this film, until now. :-P
so many good quotes come from this movie

Nick Mattio naw some people just have that gut feeling especially when being watched
That's true. Either u r born with it or not. Just being an 💯 honest person starts the thought process and u get this feeling of looking at the world the way it really is. No bull no fake no accept lying that kind of thing. Someone tells me I didn't see something and I did that's lying. So basically just be that 💯 person and u got it. And real friends help u anytime as u r always helping others u see a need and do it. Let me know how u think and I can help u get there. Paula
@@milkshake285 I kinda have that ability but it’s probably paranoia that turns out to be true for my case
billys laugh scared me more than the predator did
Great video! There's just one thing you got wrong, the predator didn't try to take dutch by detonating the explosive. The species that the predator belongs to holds honor in hunts in high regard, and when dutch held the rock above his head the predator "yielded" his life to the better hunter. Dutch however didn't kill him so the predator committed a ritual suicide of sorts (or at least, to prevent his technology from being recovered). This is made apparent as it sets a timer on the explosive instead of detonating it immediately.
Great insight
reminds me a bit of samurai’s with how they treat suicide as means of avoiding surrender and dishonor among their clans and daimyos. would have loved to see a predator movie take place in feudal japan with ninjas present as well and a movie in norway during the reign of the vikings and danes. the action, stealth and battle sequences i think would be a lot more grounded, deadly and skilled.
Billy's death scream is the most manliest sound of pain I've ever heard.
Billy stepped on a Lego hence that scream.
Lol, I was terrified of the movie too when I was a kid, but I kept watching it also.
Haha I grew up in a wooded area and after watching this anytime I played in the woods I would hear similar rattling sounds and get freaked out.
After my son watched it for the first time, I went and bought three laser pointers taped them together, got up in a tree and had told my wife to tell him I needed help in the woods in like 15 minutes. It scared him so bad I actually still feel guilty about it.
Travis Hammer You're a sick man.... I love it, and I also lived next to the woods but I wasn't scared of the predator attacking me in them, probably because I always had my friends with me, and we'd build our own camp for us to play in, but junkies found it and started using it so we couldn't use it anymore. I have no idea why I'm telling you all this lol.
My friends and I did the same stuff, good times. I was 5 years old when I first saw the predator so that's why it scared me so much.
Travis Hammer Yeah I was about the same age, my grandparents were looking after me at the time and I just watched what they watched, it just so happened to be predator, and my grampa would tell me if I'm a bad boy he'd tell the predator on me, it used to scare the shit out of me lol.
Mark McColl hahaha.
Have you noticed the similarities between Predator and the first part of Beowulf. I remember reading Beowulf in high school and as I was reading it I just thought wow this is what predator is based on. The themes are insanely similar.
Anyway sorry to rant like a lunatic.
Let us pray to Crom so that he will allow the Predator to be a good movie, if not to hell with him.
Get to da chopper!!
so much CS Zombies. Get to da choppa!!
Love this movie. Remember sawing it as a child with dad and the suspense was real. Rewatch it once a year for nostalgia value :)
I think Kevin Peter Hall is the tallest guy I've ever seen
Mate completely with you on scarring me when I was younger and continuously watching it over and over. I used to think the possums outside my window were predators when they snarled. Lost a lot of sleep.. PS how goods the eerie soundtrack
sam larsen Who could blame you, you were a kid anyways. I wouldn’t of had known that Predators don’t kill unarmed children either. They were terrifying back then. But if the berserker was released at the time, then sure a child should be scared. The berserker predator kills anything it wants.
The 80s were amazing and this movie was a jewel in its crown.
never realized how diverse this cast was?? way ahead of its time!!!
Oh there's Shane Black XD
makes sense why he would do the new Predator movie
NeilSimounDomingo he'll be like "I am back"
Doni Bathuu Hell yes...
This is classic era 80s that has and will stand the test of time. Great job
I literally just got done watching the Predator films. Nice timing.
Well done my friend, my dad showed me the Alien and Predator movies on VHS. He had the collectors edition. Seeing the break down and the making of the movie is awesome. Good work my friend!
What's forgotten is the fact that the voice of optimus prime, peter Cullen actually made the predator call
We will never see a movie like this again in our lives. Nothing will ever come close.
I wanted Poncho, Richard Chavez to survive so bad! I'm still pissed they killed him. RIP Sonny Landham
HISHE’s ending of this is absolutely hysterical. This is one of my favorite movies and although the subsequent sequels were never quite as good I still consider them guilty pleasure movies
It doesn't matter what or who in Hollywood do, there will never be movies made as great as there were In the 80s and early 90s. Action/ horror/ wtf ever! I really do miss those days
McTiernan directed two of the best action movies of all time hands down!
Even after almost 40 years, this is still the best Predator movie and the best looking predator costume.
I saw this when I was like 4 or 5 years old. My dad is a huge Arnold fan. When I was with him we watched a lot if science fiction. I'm 31 now and I'm still a big fan. I'm also a girl
A woman who liked AvP?
Impossible...
So it's true what they say women are actually from venus
Absolute beast of a movie. Hell, even the behind the scenes footage alone is more entertaining than most modern action flicks.
Almost a 20 minutes long video! What kind of sorcery is this!?
Nice video mate!
I can not wait for the new one coming out, this movie is great and opened up an amazing expanded world we have seen grow through the years. I would love to see a movie exploring the Predators outside of them hunting humans or xenomorphs.
Lmao Predatards don't hunt Xenomorphs idiot. They don't co-exist.
It was the worst Pred movie of all
Still watch this film like 2 times a month
A hair grew spontaneously on my chin just by watching this video.
Perfect in every sense. Actors. Music.Premise. Scenery.
Get to the CHOPPER!!!!!
DO it!
FilmComicsExplained YES SIR
1987. The year i was born. I feel special.
"Well Long Tally Sally, she built for speed, she got everything that Uncle John need"
Lol that helicopter scene gets me everytime “spread this on your sore ass” (billies laugh in the background lol) this film is a classic
Such a classic!
Thank you for covering my favorite movie! Great job
I love Predator so much, by far one of my favorites.
They will never top this predator movie
I love this channel its so relaxing the comments are also very nice.
I still remember the first scene I saw in Predator: Dillons death. When his arm was shot off and the Predator closed in, I ran out of the room. Predator is easily one of my favorite movies and it introduced my favorite alien in all of fiction.
That opening scene is so cool but I get the feeling that the predator was embarrassed that he fell for getting caught in a hand woven net.
“The guys hear about this I’m screwed!”
This is so concise and I love the film Predator. It's one of the greatest films ever, both predator 1 & 2 (in the jungle and in the city). Just amazing, simply amazing....
Robocop explained. Just because....
Of course! And its on the list :)
Your content helps me get through my day, and for that, I thank you! Keep up the good fight!
INDY Liv3 so same here bro
Imagine it's summer 1987 you're 9 yrs old, out of the blue...your mother, brother, a few cousins decide to go to the movies and this is the movie ur going to see. To this day as i got older I can say this movie left a mark on my 9 year old self at the time, and so couldnt wait for this to hit VHS the following year. And then we had Robocop not to long afterwards. We had awesome movies back then and Predator was such a awesome movie and its one of those movies if u have kids u gotta pass down to them. Great times..
1:49 As a child of the 80s and 90s, many of these movies (Predator, Alien/s, Terminator) did the SAME exact thing to me. Thank goodness. 😀
John McTiernan .... enough said. Also, idea to show Kevin Peter Hall without costume, as Choppa Pilot ;) was great homage, and in retrospective, very well thought.
This is the manliest, most badass movies I have ever watched
Man i love this movie so well made
Even though I literally grow up with the film, watching it with my friends late at night during a trip was an unforgetable experience. However, I have always wonder what would it be like if the "Predator" was not an Alien but an actual normal human, turning the film (and essentially the entire franchise) into a slasher/horror movie featuring a psycho (probably a veteran or an elite soldier gone mad lost in the jungle for too long) hunting the characters and with the knowledge of the jungle as an advantage he easily kill them all. The franchise is later on turned to "Predators" featuring multiple "predator" with similar storyline
You seen rambo?
I didn't watch many horror-type movies growing up, as I used to get scared easily, but the Predator is one horror monster that, instead of fearing, I grew to respect. The Predator is not a loathsome creature that kills indiscriminately, but a mighty hunter and warrior that seeks the most worthy prey. If the Predator comes to my neighborhood, I will gather my blades and challenge him directly. Though I would likely die, I will die knowing I was bested by a true warrior.
Thank you for another great video. I love the predator movie.
Best action movie of all time, period.
Everything came together well to create this masterpiece.,. You just had to be there... II still remember the terror and the anxiety at every second watching this for the first time as a teen... RIP Kevin peter hall, RIP Bill Duke..
I love the fact that Val Verde is also the fictitious location in Commando - so this is basically Commando 2 : Predator hahahahaha
I always wished we could have seen billy fight the predator.
This has been my favorite movie since I was 4 years old. First saw it on tv then at my grandparents' house.
Kevin Peter Hall doesn't get enough credit. He made the Predator come to life.
Another smash video. You and Mr. H are the only guys on CZcams that give proper justice to these classic flicks. Love it!
Great exploration of a classic dude, I've seen a few of these but I have to say yours is one of the best very In depth
this was a childhood favorite of mine!
loved the video :)
The best action movie ever with the possible exception of T2.
Thank you for reminding me of this movie's existence! It's been a long time since I last watched this movie. It's a true masterpiece.
YES... been waiting on this for sooooooo long!!! Awesome intro and i know the rest will be awesome too.
Yep. It was awesome.
One of the best movies of all time!!! Period!!!!!!
first saw this movie when I was nine my uncle just put it on in the background
Scared me when I was a kid . This film is brilliant.
Thank you for covering this movie 🎥
This was so good. What a great job. Thanks
Ah I love this film so much. Very memorable for me even too this day. Great work covering this, I never knew how physical demanding it was for the cast.
Predator is such a manly movie that when I saw it at 7 years old I started growing chest hair after Dutch’s war cry.
Definitely one of the best movies of all time. And confused me too when it first came out.
