I love how Ray keeps it real. Looking at the kitchen knives of my mom you are exactly right! They are all cheap and soft knives and she does not know how how to sharpen by hand, and neither does she care to learn it. Pull through sharpeners are what these types of people need to sharpen their knives themselves. I sharpened a few by hand with my Fällkniven CC4, and next time I checked them the edges were ruined already after a few weeks. They don't even take proper care of storing their knives, the edges and tips get all banged up in the dishwasher and then in the drawer too. Waste of time and energy to carefully sharpen them by hand, when they are not treated well anyways. Pull through sharpeners is what they need! Don't listen to the silly haters everyone, they are just writing silly hater comments. 🥰 Fuiyoh! 🙏
@@Leftyotism i sharpen her knives for her with a whetstone. I also bought her all of her knives so that she has good quality ones that actually get use out of the whetstone and can hold their edge for more than a couple days.
@@Leftyotism i mean it doesnt take much to learn, im sure she could do it, but i tell her not to bother, I can just sharpen them the same time i sharpen mine. Still dont see what that has to do with the price of a whetstone being significantly less than he said
@@FearedIce-9813 Many things are easy to learn, but you have to want to do these things in the first place; otherwise you won't start. "Regular people" have other things on their mind than sharpening knives. Also: I don't see what your initial point has to do with the video.
Have you used a pull through sharpener before? They are horrible. Also, he admits in this video that pull through sharperners take off too much material and I'm the "silly hater". Sure bud
