That is a great explanation of the settings. Thank you so much.
Absolutely! So happy you found it helpful!!
Super helpful, thank you!
Absolutely, it's our pleasure!
I was deciding between this and the sony for my tundra. The emergency brake thing is a deal breaker. Ordering my sony tomorrow
No worries! Alpine products aren't for everyone!
They sell a bypass for that
Do i have to use the microphone that comes with the unit, or will it work with the factory installed microphone already in the vehicle
Does the Alpine unit put out more power than the stock Tundra unit. I just have the regular unit in a 2021 SR5 Trail addition
Yep, it sure does! It has more than double the power of the factory head unit!
Can you guys comment, if money is no object, is this basically the very best current 2023 solution for a second gen tundra head unit replacement? Seems like all the features are there. In terms of integration with the dash? Have a new to us 2021 1794 tundra and really would like these functionalities from the Alpine unit but hate to lose the factory appearance. I wish somebody made a better integrated trim kit like with a shroud or something? Or other custom shops that do this kind of thing? I can't imagine in the years and years of this truck then nobody's come out with a smoother trim surround that doesn't look like a tablet super glued to the dashboard?
Thanks for your comment! Check out our line up of Alpine bundles! All of our head unit bundles include the necessary dash kit to keep the factory look!
I cant wait to get this but not til you get the mic clip made
Thanks for commenting! We're currently looking into different microphone options that are compatible with our microphone mount and Alpine head units. Stay tuned!
I would love to see time corrections for 2003 Toyota 4 runner, with one sub😊
The measurements wouldn't be too different than the ones shown in our 4Runner video!
What bracket kit did you use?
We use the dash bracket kits from Metra!
Does it have a mirror function?
If you are referring to mirroring your phone image to the screen - you can do this using carplay!
@@TrailGridPro yes sorry should have been more specific. Phone mirroring.
E-brake to access settings? 😅
It can be changed in the Maestro settings!
The e-brake process to access the setting menu is keeping me from considering this head unit.
They make a $20 bypass harness that disables this requirement.
So sorry about that! We understand it's not for everyone.
@@bradj229does the bypass harness also let you access everything when the vehicle is underway? Or is the unit already configured that way so that it doesn't give you the voice search bullshit The minute you hit the gas?
@@bradj229 got a link?
agreed. even if you believed in the safety benefit, it assumes you never have a passenger that can access settings and gps quite safely at any time.
