I really wish Romario could have played more than just one year with Michael Laudrup.
Laudrup was the KDB of the 90s, and with his passing Romario scored 32 goals for Barcelona.

Man how did messi escape injury with the way he played throughout his career look at r9 , Maradona they suffer injury with the dribble and movement they do all the time along with tackles and challenges , look at cr7 who was quite great dribbler at utd 1st phase he completely change his game play to avoid injury and to score more .. only Pele and Messi are the greatest dribbler and scorer at the same time for a very long time consistency

to be fair Ronaldo was a tall buff 6-foot dude... with speed on par with professional sprinters and the physic of a bodybuilder the power he was generating from each movement must have been enough to split boulders...
Ronaldo himself said last year he believes it was the way they did training back then. How they would make him run miles and miles every week instead of focusing on short quick sprints, which is more similar to what happens in a game. According to the man himself the long runs started wearing out his knees, that were already being demanded a lot because of his strenght and acceleration, and from there on it just got worse.
