    Wonderful video. I believe in the first session, a teacher could teach very few new English words, repeat them in different ways and get learners to repeat the words too in different ways. In the end, the teacher can make the learners feel they actually learnt something, and learning more will be as easy. Creating the f
    irst impression.

    Hi Clare. I was looking for the blog post about group formation games that you mentioned in your video. I can't see it in the description of the video. Are you able to assist? Many thanks :-)

    Hi Claire, I'm writing a 180-Hour Higher Certificate in TESOL and I'm referencing various videos within the course for trainees to watch to learn more. Is it OK for me to include a link in my course for TEFL Lemon trainees to learn more about teaching children?

      Hi there! Did you end up linking the video? I'm asking because after posting this video I didn't really check my channel and when I did recently I saw that this video has been viewed over 30k times!! I can't work out why. haha! Anyway, sorry for not replying. I'm happy for you to share this or any of my videos. 🙂. And do pop by and say hi on Instagram too. We have a pretty great community there.

    Thank you for tips 1. Start your lesson outside the classroom is important i think.

    What are group formation games and do they work online?

    • @activeenglish5420
      @activeenglish5420  Před 2 lety

      Hi there! They are games that help strengthen the relationship between the members of the group. You can read more about them here: activeenglish.com.br/teaching-tips/bring-fun-friendship-young-learner-classroom/
      You'd have to adapt to get this working on line but the idea is the same: finding ways to help children connect and work together towards a common outcome. Hope that helps!

      You're right!! the second part the audio is terrible. I'm so sorry about that. To be honest, I am really really new at recording and editing content for CZcams. Hopefully, I'll get better with practice. 🙂. Feedback is always welcome.
