    1. Sing their names if they're sitting well "I like the way that James is sitting" to the tune of 10 little indians
    2. Whisper to get their attention
    3. Game - Simon says e.g. If you are sitting on the carpet crisscross applesauce and your hands are in your lap, scratch your head, pop a bubble in your mouth, beep your nose, etc. silly, fun stuff
    4. Game - Dog & bone
    5. Address children by telling them what you want them to do, NOT what you don't want them to do e.g. Instead of "Don't run", say "Use your walking feet"

I remember being a young teach and being so nervous about not being able to handle the children. It does take time and practice so don't be hard on yourself. Also, any and all suggestions I offer in my video are things that have worked for me but if you try it and it doesn't work for you, don't worry.
