- FULL SCENE. Maggie explains to Negan why she cant move on and forgive Negan for what happened with Glenn.
The walking dead season 11 episode 24 grand finale.
#thewalkingdead #negan #maggie - Zábava
"I don't wanna hate you anymore."
Those are probably the kindest words Maggie will ever say to Negan
she said a lot of kind things to him in this whole clip
Before these words she asked him “are you coming “ and I was like those was the nicest thing she said to him.
@@VideoGProductions Yeah and that was the kindest part
True
Then dead city happens
You could see how badly Negan felt when she mentioned that he mocked Glenn while he was dying, you could feel how ashamed he was. Incredible character development
Incredible execution of talent because man, I loved to hate Negan when he first came on the scene. Up there with Gus Fring and Cersi Lanister calibur of villains.
@@BlkDontegus fring was mid
@BlkDonte "i can't forgive you, but im trying not to hate you anymore" it would be good writing if Negan just became a Silent Protagonist because you can't become likeable after all the shit he did. you guys are idiots if you think this is Good Writing. By this Logic you guys should be mad Jon Snow Beheaded Janos Slynt, and would be wanting Jon to have a 1 on 1 talk about not forgiving to Janos Slynt. Such a powerful scene and so well acted by both. We've been waiting for this moment
Yes the dialogue in these scene was so beautiful!

Such a powerful scene dude holy crap I miss Glenn so much but I’m glad they made Negan turn into a better man in this show.
Nah Rick shoulda let him bleed out in the dirt and turn
@@ziggity7851 Nah show is better because of Negan
@@kruczek9566 It’s worse without Rick and they traded Rick for Negan
@@ziggity7851 I miss Rick but after his fake death Negan changed for the better and that made the show good
@@kruczek9566 yeah true I can agree with that
Jeffrey dean morgan didnt even have to say a single word to convey Negan's emotions and development. He is truly a cut above the rest when it comes to emoting
He is the best
Maggie: "I don't want my son to see that anybody has that kind of hold over me"
Dead City: " That one didn't age quite so well"
Well duh. Easier said than done
Damn this made me tear up a little, thinking about how brutal Glenn’s last moments were and how she must feel reliving them every time she looks at negan
Negan is basically her master
I love the subtlety of Negan readying himself for "the Talk". Anyman who has done a wrong and tried to earn redemption can understand.
What season do we see beta with a whole bunch of walkers and talking to them? Thats where I'm at i jus can't remember where thats at
Season 10
Boy do I understand alright
This is like the 20th “talk” already
He is just resigned to it at this point😒🙄
Negan is like: “I’m SO sorry I killed this fukin guy, if I knew being nagged to death would be my punishment…”😩
@@KingRemoji You don’t get over someone murdering your spouse and father of your child
like that easily. Imagine having to be around their murderer constantly and everyone just shrugging when his absolute evil is brought up.
You can see the remorse in Negan's eyes for what he's done
I'm surprised hes still alive after having his head cut off.
huh
@@ConnerZ
@@ConnerZ rick slit his throat, he didn't cut his head off lol
Anyone judging maggie for her decision not to forgive has clearly never experienced anything severely traumatic. You have no idea how ptsd changes a person. And yeah, everyone alive probably has some form or post traumatic stress but Maggie has every right not to forgive him.
AND
That doesn’t mean Negan can’t be redeemed and liked and accepted into society. It doesn’t undo all the growth Negan has made as a character.
It just means that maybe there should go their separate ways and not spend an entire spin off series together.. 👀
I loved the series, it was honestly really interesting. Just really wishing for Maggie to have some peace in her life and not have to look at her husband’s murderer in the face everyday. She see’s Negan enough in her memories. She doesn’t need to see him irl
People are upset at Maggie???
I agree with you so much.
@@tym2083 yes, they are, I get why they say Glenn wasn't the perfect little angel, he did kill saviours in their sleep, but I absolutely hate people who talk shit about Maggie like she should just get over this whole situation because of what Glenn did, no. That isn't how thay works, people are stupid saying crap like "oh he's redeemed himself so much, and just look how sad he is and remourceful, she should just get over it because I like Negan and I've never had anyone that I love have their face smashed in with a bat." That last bit obviously wasn't said, but damn if it ain't true.
This was THE BEST scene in the finale. The only true closure
I found the Rosita and Eugene stuff better, but this is good too.
@@dpgamezderek8137 yeah that scene was great too but I feel like the negan and Maggie stuff had been bubbling for so long that I wasn't sure how they could wrap it up...I was satisfied with the result
Yes best scene with the the other one between them negan s apologize
@@dpgamezderek8137 it is a death it is really hard to compare both. I prefer this too because maggie and negan are my favorite characterbut Eugène and rosita was really great too
Negan really has developed as a character he’s not a leader anymore he’s a survivor like everyone else and you can really see the regret and sympathy for Maggie in his eyes
To be honest, the ONLY reason why I watch the season 9 to 10 with only a few episodes of the last one was the evolution of that character since they keep going without Carl and Rick Grimes.
Negan is still a leader. Perhaps he doesn't want to be one anymore and his nuturing side has def shine through more
I'm honestly shocked that someone would need to explain why they can't forgive someone for murdering the love of their life with a baseball bat. I still haven't forgiven my high school bully for saying my last name incorrectly
Well, he warned that he was going to do something if anyone got in the way, and he did, she knows that, it's Daryl's fault
At least they remembered u but mine just visited me at hospital like they r my savior instead off my nightmare. "U should dodge my fist properly awww u poor thing" is that what they should say to injured person?
@@DigoTP_yeah like how it’s a person’s fault for walking in a dark alley way getting murdered… no that’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard

Being able to see how badly Negan feels and seeing his redemption makes me so much more emotional than what actually happened.
Seriously 😒
This scene has me in tears. I haven't had anyone murder someone I love in front of me but I've been through a lot of terrible trauma and I understand how maggie feels
Yeh same I’ve never had my one true loves head bashed in, in front of me and have them scream my name and then the person who mocked them save my son and be forced to live on a commune with me forever… must be awful
@@MrKelso85 yeah. It is. If u think about it there are killers who are out jow walking around and families of their victims have to endure seeing them live free it's infuriating
bull shiet
This is pretty much how everyone felt about him to be fair.
"When I look at you, all I see is that bat coming down on his head. Blood running down his face. I hear him calling for me, and I hear you mocking him while he's dying"
Those words made me weep. I can't imagine how helpless she felt as the man she loved and adored was beaten into the dirt, his head bashed in maliciously while someone who thought he was big belittled him right up until he took his final breath. It's gutwrenching. And the way Negan can barely look at her while she reminds him of how awful he was, and seeing his jaw quiver as he fought back tears. He is genuinely remorseful, but he understands why it would be so hard for her to forgive him. He caused her irreparable damage and trauma and sorrow, and he took pleasure in doing so. Now he has to live with what he did. He has to live with Glenn's blood on his hands
Very powerful scene, this scene made me very sad because I miss Glenn
Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan have such great chemistry together if you think about it they were both in Supernatural although not on screen together but they were also Bruce Wayne's parents father and mother respectively speaking from the Ben Affleck version of Superman versus Batman and here we are The Walking Dead those two are standing on the opposite sides from their characters perspectives and this is where we are at now with The Walking Dead the very end showing how Maggie views Negan. And because these two have a lot of love and respect for each other that's why we're getting The Walking Dead spin off of the Dead City and maybe just maybe it is only a matter of time that Maggie will actually finally forgive and actually "HUG NEGAN" because if that actually does happen then it is all full closure between the two
Lauren and jeffrey have great chemistry. Hope for snyderverse of batman.
I get what you're saying. I don't know if I could. I mean what she did in this scene is more than what most people could, i believe. It's a tough situation.
Let them just be at peace with each other. Lets not ship them for the love of god, that would be a slap in the face to both her character and the memory of glenn
Everybody tries to justify what Negan did by saying stuff like it was just a facade or he had to do it, all so they can say that Negan really isn’t that bad. They’re missing the point.
Powerful scene. Glenn was very beautiful. I’m sure everyone can remember his death scene. Ugh! 😢 I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Lauren Cohan killed that scene. I cried lol
He was receptive the whole time. Truly remorseful.
The worst part about all of it is negan would have liked Glenn. Smart, quick, saving people, always got shit done.
Can't say that I blame Maggie. I mean I don't know if I can forgive the person who mocked my significant other as they're dying, especially when they're the one responsible for their death.
Oof this one got me feeling all the feels. For a show that has its ups and downs in quality, and meanders at times, its these nuanced, raw character moments that kept me coming back. Good writing, and superb acting in scenes like this!
I mean, after what he did, he is lucky she hasn't bashed his skull in. I'm still not sure why she hasn't
She will do it very soon, I'm sure about that...
@@toxiclady218Or her son will kill Negan or Negan will sacrifice his life for Maggie or her son

I've seen so many comments from people about how much they love the old Negan, and how they think he was right, or one or the other, and I cannot comprehend it. Regardless of his charisma, or the quality of his performance, he spent a long time being cold blooded and only focused on efficiency, at best, and at worst, being a monstrous tyrant and a bully. Now here he is, a changed man, fighting to earn redemption, haunted by his own past evil deeds, a man who shows compassion and understanding and regrets the pain he's caused, a man who's undergone incredible character development and practically completely transformed, for the better, and his performance is still fantastic, and somehow a large chunk of the audience prefers the pre-redemption Negan, or doesn't even talk about the present day Negan.
I can never understand comments like this. Everyone seems to forget the ~40 saviours they killed without knowingly interacting with them. Glenn killed 2 sleeping people ffs.
@@MrSqurk You can't excuse every bad thing Negan's done, or the way he went about it, just because some of his enemies also did some bad things.

I couldnt bear to watch this show again after Glenn was killed. Ripped the heart right out of the show. No other characters were as relatable as Glenn. The rest of the characters were all braun, or just... weird.... Glenn was all of us.
Rick is cool because he says carlllllllllllll
maybe he wasnt getting paid enough or had to travel somewhere else
Wipe ur mouth when ur done ffs
This is a powerful scene. We're all capable of doing bad things. And we're also capable of doing better, putting in the work, try to be better and do better. Even with all of the work, we're not owed forgiveness; even with all the work, no one is going to tell us they see our work. We just have to become, become who were are meant to be; do our best every day to be better than we were the day before. Negan did awful things. He'll have to live with that and make his own amends and contend with the consequences of his actions for the rest of his days. Wonderfully acted.
Her saying 'I don't want to hate you' doesn't mean she doesn't, which makes Dead City's story understandable. She wants to let go but all she sees is the murderer of her husband and the father of her son.
Great scene he can't make up for what he did to Glenn but his love for kids is something else he saved hershal and Judith's life
Maggie's world ends that day Glenn passed.
i haven’t watched the walking dead since a little after glenn died and i just randomly came across this and im crying
Wipe ur mouth
This is such a strong scene and I remember that season Glenn was gone! Good acting right there
I watched a new episodes when they came out on Netflix when I saw the scene right here it made me cry I was in tears I could not stop crying for a good 30 minutes The people in this show are very good actors 💖
Such a powerful scene just for Maggie to revert back to how she was 5 years prior to this in the new Walking Dead
You can tell from JDM's acting that Negan feels unbelievable guilt and remorse from his past life as the leader of the Saviors. He did terrible things but let's not forget that Rick's group also slaughtered a bunch of the Saviors thus provoking Negan's response. It's not an excuse but the world they live in fighting both the dead and other humans for survival, people make much more harsher choices that lead to much harsher consequences. Negan was caught up with his ego playing the badass, over the top theatrical villain and because of that, he killed a lot of people. It's good that Maggie can live and work with Negan because she knows they need each other. Maggie can never forgive Negan for what he took. However, I think Maggie needs to look in the mirror and remember why they even had to confront Negan to begin with. A lot of the blame is on Rick, too.
He wasnt caught up I believe he was so badly traumatized by his wife it caused him to become something he truly wasnt....he admitted this when he apologized and burned the bat that he aptly named after his wife trauma causes alot of good people to do very bad things...
Even if i understand what you said about Negan, i disagree with "However, I think Maggie needs to look in the mirror and remember why they even had to confront Negan to begin with". Maggie does a lot of bad stuff like other people but she doesn't killed Negan's wife in fron of his eyes, doesn't force people to supply her communty, does'nt force mans to marry her etc etc. Yes Maggie killed people like Negan but she doesn't do nothing to negan and that's the part of the problem here.
@@eagles77AA yeah, both rick and maggie did shit, but never as bad Plus webt trough si much worse but still helped many more, they changed to better far quicker and never slaved anyone really
The Saviors were scum that went around enslaving and killing people and looting entire communities dry leaving them with nothing, taking anyone and anything by force and killing anyone who didn't kneel before them in total submission. If I was Rick I would've wiped them out completely when he had the chance, and I most definitely would've killed Negan without a second thought. I get that people love the actor that plays Negan and love to see him on the TV screen, but The Saviors deserved total extermination.
It's insane to think how good his acting is when it shines in a scene where he doesn't say a word.
Can anyone tell me why she didn’t kill him the first second she had a chance? Stopped watching the show cause it turned into a melodrama with zombies but never understood why everyone just becomes cool with Negan. You’d think theyd smash his face in the first chance they’d get. Now they sit down and have a civilized convo?
The answer you are looking for is too long for a comment and a short version like he saved them repeatedly won't do it justice. You'd have to watch to understand. But if that answer was good enough that's the simplest version I can give. One detail I'll add is the first person to give him a shot at redemption was Carol. And since she wasn't there when they first met him as well as her being known for controversial actions it sort of made sense.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is one hell of an underrated actor! He nails the performances!!! 😎👍🤘
Amazing acting by both actors here. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
JDM is probably the only actor who could have made us like Negan. I remember starting to like him as far back as the spaghetti incident and hating that I did, but even then I knew they would end up making him one of the good guys
You gotta praise Maggie’s reasons and honesty of why she ain’t ready to forgive Negan.
“Maggie, I’ll find you”
It's a prison already. He has to live with that, but knowing he gets to have what Maggie didn't..a full family...so when he sees his family he will always remember Maggie and glen...everyday.
Incredible scene had me crying like a fucking baby
Negan would make a game out of killing people.
Ricks group never did that, never played around and mocked the people they were killing.
In no way other then the superficial are they (Rick and co) anything like negan or his group
Rick & Co absolutely did play around and mock some of their victims.
@@valefolken9143we can all agree that the saviors were inherently more evil though and it was an around the clock thing for them vs Rick and the group sometimes strayed from being good people but that’s what an apocalypse like this would do to pretty much everyone… glad the show is turning around like this and having actual closure though
I havent watched TWD in years but "Glenn was beautiful" was all it took to get me sad again 😢
Such a powerful and incredible scene
in the real (or anu imaginary) world, no one could never EVER even say one single word to this man after what and how he did what he did. It is just impossible to believe in his redemption and this turned the whole show into a joke.
landslide being used in the final episode is something I will genuinely never get over
Aint even seen this show and i just cried my eyes out watching this scene😭 god i miss glenn 💔
This is just really great writing regarding the nature of hatred, forgiveness and why it’s such a burden either way.
In a way, as Maggie mentions Negan mocking Glenn as he was suffering, you could interpret his reaction as compare himself to the cancer killing Lucille. Lucille's suffering as the cancer progressed was the cancer mocking his powerlessness.
To Build a Home by Cinematic Orchestra for anyone who was wondering about the song
I’ve never watched this show, but I came across this clip and holy shit.. powerful acting powerful words I have to investigate further into this
It’s incredible how JDM played this guy. You can tell the difference in him just by his posture.
Jeffrey didn’t say a word but you knew exactly how he felt etc what an actor
She said all of this and STILL carried that hate for Negan for years afterwards that even Hershel called her out on it.
Thing I love about this, THIS is how you should tell how the majority influences good people. THAT was the thing I liked what they didn't say about Negan, that his inspiration was left by the very crazies he had to put in line, knowing very well he'd needed a persona, sadly this was his persona prior with no hinges, where had no one followed him or too afraid to attack him by it, it all would have changed, where the hardest times are technically over, but its that scary in between times of the elders thinking it'll come back hard and the youth (some) wanting to have it come back so they could have these hard moments and justify their instinctual actions, why this is a microcosm of the real world today.
His silence itself says a lot about his character growth. The fact that this guy, ‘captain monologue’ so to speak, who always has something to say for better or worse, remains silent through the entire scene and let’s her speak her peace speaks volumes to his growth. He shows her enough respect to let her draw her own conclusions without attempting to sway or even reassure her in anyway. He knew that was the absolute most he could do for her in the moment and genuinely wants her to move on for her own sake, not do his.
I see that point reiterated when Daryl silently looks at him from the window when everyone else is gathered inside and he remains outside too. A silent acknowledgment that he had paid a debt to the group without the illusion that he deserved to sit next to them in their moment of bliss, while being content with being part of making that moment of peace happen.
I had early on thought that the ‘friendly Negan’ storyline felt rushed, but between the time jumps and good deeds he’s done for the group along the way it does feel earned. I also appreciate that the writers didn’t cop out and try to convince us that Negan had earned Maggie’s forgiveness and how unfair that would be to Glenn’s memory. Negans protective nature when it comes to youth has been a great selling point when it comes to the Maggie/Negan storyline in Dead City and has been a great way to bridge the gap between two characters who began their story arc so far apart as well.
I definitely can relate to Maggie you can't love anybody else like the way you love your first love😢 mine was Vera Siwik/khanova
Negan changed yes.But his actions are unchangeable that's just life for you, You cant change the past u must live with it.
That was really powerful.
yeah... I stopped watching the series at the end of the season where they killed Glenn. I just couldn't take the constant death of characters I cared so much about. I watch tv as an escape, not as punishment. That moment Negan killed Glenn was an immensely painful one. I feel much like Maggie in this. I think Negan is an amazing, interesting character. I just can't stand all the death of the most valuable characters. Though I do see in snippets of resent spinoff episodes that many the most important characters are still alive. (Daryl, Maggie, Rick, Michone, etc). Still.. Its hard getting back into this painful series.
She forgot to mention that enlarged eyeball the size of planet earth😂😂😂
Damn bruh 😂
the more Maggie talks the more Negan dies
Negan is hands down my favorite villain in the series. And while I love the development his character has gotten, I'm not gonna lie I love it when we see glimpses of old Negan come out. like his knock knock joke scene in Dead city.
I wonder where I've seen this before.

Negan likes Maggie but maggie barely forgives him awww
Negan is ashamed not cuz annie but cuz lucille! He knows what its like to love somebody so much to the point you are broken when they die
Wow.
I stopped watching this show shortly after Negan killed Alpha, I'd seen him burn Lucille, and then dropped of the show.
To see him with genuine remorse on his face, no smirk, no swagger, no smart-ass remark, just a look of shame, of remorse, regret. Empathy.
I think I need to watch Dead City to see how he gets to this point.
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 I’m not crying I’m just ok I am crying this was so beautiful 😢
Glenn was the kind of person that would forgive Negan if he could come back for a day. And I think at this point, Negan knows that.
I remembered Glenn was trying to smile at least i thought he was but i could not see it properly because his eye was popping out of his skull.
She forgave but she couldn't forget. Definitely looking foward to season 2 of dead city.
I hate that Negan is supposed to be this clear villain because he whacked Glenn, but all of that was retaliation for what Rick The Prick did to his people.
RIP Little Timmy and the Dick Brigade.
Facts they is a good example of don’t do things to people you wouldn’t want done to you
the saviors were literally running around doing the same shit except toying with their victims, why tf do you think hilltop sent some outcasts to do their work?
I mean, you can't fault Maggie for any of it...she was truly in love with Glenn..i mean rught down to her bones. To try and firgive the person who murdered him in front of her is something most people wouldn't be able to do..but shes trying.
Im glad for this scene couse I thought that Glenn was forgotten and how he died😢❤
Esta escena es dd las mejores con dos personajes que tuvieron su evolución..
You'd never be able to come even close to forgiving someone that did that to a person that you love. It's so insanely far fetched. A more realistic scenario is that Maggie would have to murder him
But she said that she won't kill him and she doesn't hate him.
That was powerful 😮
I forgive him, hell I LOVE him!
Only reason along with daryl that it was worth still watching.
So what is this like the 13th time they talk about Negan killing Glenn
I like Dead City but this would have been the perfect send off for Maggie and Negan
I fucking balled like a baby during this scene. Great scene❤
What gets me here isn't Maggie's actor it's negans, that face plainly is that feeling when every bit of your heart wants to cry but you've been through so much that you just can't anymore, your too broken to shed tears and part of negans hates himself for what he's done in the past
Hey, he didn’t get her forgiveness but at least he got an explanation as to why and got to hear it from her and see her be able to express herself why she can’t. Not even gets that and all they ever get is the hate. That says a lot about her as a person as well to be able to talk to the person her took the love of your life away from you.
Making a spin-off series featuring both of them together is so fucking disrespectful to Glenn's character and more unrealistic than the zombie apocalypse itself. I will never watch it.
In the comics Maggie "forgives" Negan but never meet or talks to him again, it was a good, clean conclusion.
