Some people will argue that in such a post-apocalyptic world, a man-child who commands cult-like respect from his followers tossing around the f-bomb every other sentence would be a real thing that could happen. To those I say I do agree; it is pretty immersive, and if you crave immersion in your zombie tv shows, then kudos to you.
But as I read through Negan's fuck-sprinkled dialogue in the comics, I felt my eyes start to glaze over as the word "fuck" had really lost it's impact a long while ago. Maybe it's just me, but I like my fucks like I like my cunts: used sparingly and with great impact.

But in hindsight I understand completely why it happened. And of course it makes complete sense now lol. Even though JDM was great in this scene, you can tell that he wasn't fully in character yet. I remember him saying he had less than 2 weeks to learn that he got the part, learn his lines and shoot the episode. If you watch 6x16 and 7x01 back to back, the difference is night and day. He didn't quite develop Negan's personality, loud mouth, and charisma yet.

You know, if you made this video in 2018, a guy actually released most of Negan's speech (up until Glenn acts out of line for Maggie, and before that, a few parts were cut out) that was uncensored so he could be his comic-counterpart as much as possible.
Though, I also like the way you originally made it because it does show how it actually differs heavily, since it was cut. Thanks for the comparison. lol

I am of the opinion Negan is way more threatening without all the fucks, it works in the comics but in live action it would be too much. JDM does so much with his face and body language that you don't need the swearing to sell his brutality and dark comedy.
