This was (if not one of) the most powerless Rick ever felt in the show. He and his group were like an unstoppable force but when they met Negan and the Saviors, it showed what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object.
Abrahams expression made me sad 😞, the actor did really good. It was a face of farewell friends but willingly taking one for the team. the way how he held himself up, made me hold my tears because one hit does impact fear in his heart for his friends. indeed he died with no fear

I almost had a panic attack when I first saw this scene, watching two characters I both heavily admired just get brutally killed like that was just the most terrifying thing and also very sad and tragic thing I’ve seen in film media in the past 20 years. The suspense is developed so great when we first meet Negan. It all pays off too and leaves us feeling so shocked
I love how the entire time you can see Negan looking for the biggest threat and when he realises Abraham is the biggest threat to his mission, he looks for the moral compass of the group that keeps it together in case he needs to kill another person, and he does when Daryl goes against orders
Man who would have thought Negan would be one of the best antiheroes ever when they first saw this massacre. It's crazy AF, thank you twd for the wild ride and looking forward to the spin-offs.
Now that I look back at this, Daryl punching Negan which lead to Glenn’s death is almost like Star Lord punching Thanos which lead to the Avengers losing their grip on him and then he eventually becomes victorious. Much different and bigger result in Infinity War but somewhat the same scenario.
This is when I and I believe millions of others stopped watching this series!!! It was great when they were fighting zombies. But when humans started fighting each other ( before this season but getting worse and worse ) that was the end for me. There is enough hatred and division, and murder in the actual world of humans, I don't need to fill my spare time also watching it in programs.
@@frankcortes6852 Really? Yea like I said I haven't watched it in years. But this doesn't surprise me. In the whole world it seems like evil is the new good. In real life if you question wrong many times " They " say you are wrong. But I put my trust in God. He never changes 🙂

I just binged watched the whole series in the last few months and after this part I literally watched the rest just to see neegan get what was coming to him but I must say it was great to really see him redeem himself to the point that I strangely started rooting for him and became concerned for his well being
My favorite was Daryl, but ultimately the harsh reality is that he’s the cause of Glenn’s death. He should’ve simply listened. Than my second favorite all time character in the show would be alive.
I remember watching this for the first time. I swear I was stressed and sweating like it was happening in front of me. Didnt ever feel like that in a freaking TV show. I swear I felt real grief for Glenn as if he was real. Weird
That's when you know a show is good. When it feels real. I wish the show would've kept that feeling for me. But unfortunately the last couple seasons I stopped feeling that way for numerous reasons. But yeah during this time in the show I was the same way. I literally wanted to jump in the screen and try and help Abraham when he started getting beat
First time I watched this I thought it was so bad because I liked those characters and now I look back and this is one of my favourite scene as it sets up our badass villain and I also thought Abrahams character arc ended and probably wouldn't grow further after that and Glenn was a bit of the same but still unsure.
S6- ep11 to S7- 01 (this episode) is the best period of the Walking Dead, by far. The writing and execution was brilliant. Rick's cockiness and 'this world is ours' approach really comes back to haunt him and the group. It's even reaffirmed after the slaughter at the satellite station, when the group make light work (or so they think) of the evil saviours. After, the whole episode by episode realisation that they have bitten off more than they can chew, and SERIOUSLY underestimated the force they are up against is shown in the brilliant season finale and ends with this, the best episode of TV I have ever seen.
Really surprised no one killed Negan for the entire run from this point on. Glenn was an OG. He was close to every single one of the original group. Negan had his redemptive moments… but I don’t know how anyone ever let this slide and kill him eventually.
this episode was one of the best in tv history in my opinion from any show ever made people talked for months trying to figure out who was gonna die before this aired people were scared to watch it and excited at the same time the way they showed the deaths was brutal i thought there was no way we would see something so gory and so up close it looked and sounded so real i knew we were gonna see a death but after negan swung the bat we would hear it but it would cut away and we would just see a body on the ground but it didnt it was shocking so shocking it upset people to the point where amc didnt even show walker deaths up close after because of the complaints as a die hard walking dead fan and other die hard fans that watched glenn from season 1 until this scene it was hard seeing it and maggie being there made it even worse there will never be another show with a episode like this one ever again!!
As much as I love glenn, Abraham’s death also had a huge impact on the group and I feel like it was also a turning point for Sasha, Rosita and Eugene, specifically Eugene because he probably wouldn’t have turned to Negan if Abraham was still alive.

@@ItsBeezy777 No, as far as im concerned Rick see's Daryl more as his best friend than he's ever seen Glenn as anything
He cared about Glenn sure but that's no excuse to pick someone who tried to kill u over someone who saved u
1:46 biggest mistake of the season
But it just shows negans genius . You hit me? You probably don’t care if you die . So I’ll kill your buddy .. it’s effective
It's smart but sick
@@cblack5544 yup, negan is freakin genius and savage
The Gang definitely. I’m not defending his actions here I’m simply saying that negan knew exactly what buttons to push and was actually pretty clever when it came to this kinda.. stuff
@@cblack5544 He didn't want to push any buttons to kill another. He was going straight to just torment Rick the entire time and let them go.
I miss them so much. They changed the show in a good way. Abraham saved alot of people. Glenn saved rick in the first season and he had a son and a wife. May they rest in peace. We love you glenn and abarham❤😔🙏
That's a fun day for me.
What, you a murderous fellow?
Cringe
He a good leader! The problem is people don’t understand how real old Fashion politics work
Get out of here negan wannabe
💪💪💪💪😎😎😎💀😂😂😂
The most brutal thing i have ever seen in TV.
Luigee like I really don’t need to see that again
Abraham was like a sensei who died and Glenn could've been a father for his kid
Abraham at least died saying something funny meanwhile Glenn’s death was the most sad out of all
Sad because Glenn was there from the very beginning.
This was (if not one of) the most powerless Rick ever felt in the show. He and his group were like an unstoppable force but when they met Negan and the Saviors, it showed what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object.
And then he went to fight Jin Kazama in a karate tournament
Arat said no exceptions to Sindy 11 yr old brother .So that's why Maggie and Daryl walked off from her killing of oceanside
Abrahams expression made me sad 😞, the actor did really good. It was a face of farewell friends but willingly taking one for the team. the way how he held himself up, made me hold my tears because one hit does impact fear in his heart for his friends. indeed he died with no fear
I feel like Negan picked what he thought was the strongest guy and smartest
Jeffrey Dean Morgan's daughters future boyfriends, take notes. This is her father, and he is Negan!
nice 😂
Fatal flaw of your statement: He has a 9 and a 14 year old son, two sons, no daughters. How tf is he going to have future daughters boyfriends to deal with when he has no daughters unless he has them now and is in his 80's by the time they're of age?
@@jameswasil First of all
His son is 10 years old
And he have a 2 years old daughter
So what are you saying dude😅
@@haneensamir4234 maybe he doesn’t know because his daughter’s name is George 🤣
I think it’s kinda unique to call a girl with a boy’s name, loved it tho
Good thing he only has 2 sons. But I wouldn't mess with those 2 boys.
This explains why Bruce Wayne turned out to be such a murderer, Thomas Wayne was a fucking savage
batman doesn't kill tho
Kevin C Is you watch batman vs superman the actor who played negan also played Bruce's dad
God so sad but it was a neat way to introduce such a cool character,Abraham and Glenn will be missed and negan is a fun new addition to the show
Yes. Agreed, bleep bloop
say something human
Screw Negan. I want Negan to die!
As Negal said to Maggie: "If I had the chance to do it all over again, i would kill all of you on sight" and i felt that.
Negan was friggin terrifying. When i first watched this episode my heart was pounding the whole time. Seeing rick completely broken and at no mercy while unable to protect his people was rough
The best episode. It's seared into our memory good or bad. That's when you know the producers made the right choice showing the brutality.
You are wrong. It's in your memory because it was shocking not because it was good.
@@Zodroo_Tint it was one of the best episodes of the show. This has always been a character driven show and its good to see how people develop and adapt to the new world order.
Was the last good episode agreed. Then went to shit after that
@@solidvirgol87I agree.
I love how everyone is mortified/crying, but Carl still looks like he wants to take a swing at Negan
because hes the most fearless and badass character.

come on guys, we all know glenn is going to pop up back in season 11 or so and claims to have hidden under a dumpster all the time.
No matter how many times I watch this, I still love negan
TCL Gaming So true! He’s such a lovable bad guy. Sexy as fuck too.
I mean, him doing this is just one of the things that makes him a cool ass character that gets shit done
I love negan but im still so sad about those two :(
He loved her so much that his last words were he would find her......I want a love like Glenn and Maggie. True love. Star Struck Lovers. In this life or the next he'd find her!

You and me both!
i think the writters had him say that because originally maggie was suppose to die instead of abraham but then they switched it up but if it went that way then glenn would be referecing to seeing her in heaven
@@lancemuise2005 Wrong
Me: There will never be a villain I like more than handsome jack.
Negan: hold Lucille
Negan then: 😈
Negan now: 🥺
I almost had a panic attack when I first saw this scene, watching two characters I both heavily admired just get brutally killed like that was just the most terrifying thing and also very sad and tragic thing I’ve seen in film media in the past 20 years. The suspense is developed so great when we first meet Negan. It all pays off too and leaves us feeling so shocked
I love how the entire time you can see Negan looking for the biggest threat and when he realises Abraham is the biggest threat to his mission, he looks for the moral compass of the group that keeps it together in case he needs to kill another person, and he does when Daryl goes against orders
and this is when they started killing off all the good characters
They started killing off the good characters since season 2.
Wait I never noticed Rick said "Daryl!" after Daryl swung at Negan. It's like he already knew Negan was a huge threat after Abe's death.
Finally, someone who kept in the bits between their deaths
Man who would have thought Negan would be one of the best antiheroes ever when they first saw this massacre.
It's crazy AF, thank you twd for the wild ride and looking forward to the spin-offs.
This was thee most intense moment on TWD. R.I.P. Abraham, and Glen! I am a Negan Fan
And worst of all! Now the series want us to feel sorry for those who were sadistic manipulative tyrants like Negan. 😡
@@frankcortes6852 Really? Yea like I said I haven't watched it in years. But this doesn't surprise me. In the whole world it seems like evil is the new good. In real life if you question wrong many times " They " say you are wrong. But I put my trust in God. He never changes 🙂
@@user-ru6mq5sc5n I also hate when humans fight each other in zombie movies or series. I want the zombies to be the stars, not the humans! 😤
I should have stopped watching this series like all of you! Turning this iconic villain into a goody two shoes and spending so many years of my life for such an incomplete ending like in this series was a TERRIBLE mistake!!! 😠
Glenn dying
Negan: ArE yOu TrYiNg To SpEaK
Negan is the man!!! He's sick and hilarious. Hahahaha. wht a fucked up combination.
john smith Joker
The noises Glenn made were so terrifying. I loved it. What killed it for me, however, is when he says I'll find you.
And that is why Maggie will never forgive Negan.
Who’s here after seeing Negan from season 9 finale and started to like him and came here to get reminded how we hated him?
Karl Lin if you want a proper reminder you should search for the scene when Rick & co slaughtered about 50 Saviors. Depends on perspective- negan was bad but he was the most normal/ sane out of all protagonists we’ve had and it makes sense he would find redemption when he realises what he did wasn’t right or worth it in the end. Why is liking him a bad thing for you?
I came here to remind people why he deserves to die.
It's just like The Dark Knight Batman movie when Harvey said why me to Batman And he Responded "Because you were the best of us"!! He knew that and wanted to break them.
SUEDUCE I am harvey
Ummmm... How is this like that?
Yeah...no, this is not like that at all. You're really reaching with that comparison. Don't know how The Dark Knight came to your mind when you watched this.
I love a villain that brings true meaning to the word *ruthless*
Honestly, it's not this event that makes Negan a villain. This was justice not murder. Justice is not evil. Injustice is evil.
@@CleanWithConfidencewtf
@@JoSheperd Yea, Rick and the gang unjustly killed a whole crew of Negan's men. Negan could have justly taken the lives of all of Rick and the gang and he only took a few here.
@@CleanWithConfidence Yeah well he took the ones that had nothing to do with it and he bashed their fucking brains in infront of their friends and partners while laughing and making jokes
I really love the lighting and sound design of this scene
The fear in Abraham’s eyes before he gets striked the first time, you can see how his eyes water and his knowing this is the end for him
It’s so sad how Glenn died. Abraham knew he was dying and gave the peace sign to Sasha. Glenn didn’t even get to say a proper goodbye to his wife and friends
I just binged watched the whole series in the last few months and after this part I literally watched the rest just to see neegan get what was coming to him but I must say it was great to really see him redeem himself to the point that I strangely started rooting for him and became concerned for his well being
Back when the Walking Dead was still worth watching.
When glenn gets hit you can see some of the men behind him jumping they didn’t even see it coming.
Is it weird that the character that killed my favorite character is my new favorite?
My favorite was Daryl, but ultimately the harsh reality is that he’s the cause of Glenn’s death. He should’ve simply listened. Than my second favorite all time character in the show would be alive.
I saw this so many times and it still gets to me man 😢
This group cost Negan so many of his people that getting rid of these 2 was just mercy at that point
Now Negan is keeping the show alive
Favorite scene of the show. There’s so much emotion and detail in this scene. Well done.
Everyone was in tears but Carl he was just seething with rage.
The last walking dead episode I watched. It's been 3 years and I haven't returned
Can't believe Maggie ends up working with him
Really surprised no one killed Negan for the entire run from this point on. Glenn was an OG. He was close to every single one of the original group. Negan had his redemptive moments… but I don’t know how anyone ever let this slide and kill him eventually.
this episode was one of the best in tv history in my opinion from any show ever made people talked for months trying to figure out who was gonna die before this aired people were scared to watch it and excited at the same time the way they showed the deaths was brutal i thought there was no way we would see something so gory and so up close it looked and sounded so real i knew we were gonna see a death but after negan swung the bat we would hear it but it would cut away and we would just see a body on the ground but it didnt it was shocking so shocking it upset people to the point where amc didnt even show walker deaths up close after because of the complaints as a die hard walking dead fan and other die hard fans that watched glenn from season 1 until this scene it was hard seeing it and maggie being there made it even worse there will never be another show with a episode like this one ever again!!
after all these years.....still traumatized by this
Man he legit tortured Glenn. And the fact that Daryl has to live with the fact that his actions led to that. Man Negan is THE Villain.
God bless you Abraham :'(
2:31 you can see how sad rick looked when he hit glenn that's so sad broke my heart cuz rick know that's the dude that saved his ass in the beginning
I was just thinking of this scene, and here goes the CZcams algorithm blessing me with it.
This episode and the episode right before this were the best two episode of the entire show in my opinion.
As much as I love glenn, Abraham’s death also had a huge impact on the group and I feel like it was also a turning point for Sasha, Rosita and Eugene, specifically Eugene because he probably wouldn’t have turned to Negan if Abraham was still alive.
