Circling back to your discussion of wear and tear on goalie's hips and knees, how detrimental is that hard knee drive that Josh was demonstrating the thump noise you are looking to get? Should there be a distinction between how hard you drive your knees in practice vs. A game?
You can minimize the number of reps or crease movements you do…… but all crease mvts. And knee drives need to be full violence all the time. Practicing something you have mastered at anything less than full speed gets you better at doing THAT thing slower than you need. Practice exactly the speed you need in a game all the time.
Thank god I got so narrow butterfly that I don't have to wonder if to go wider or tight lol
