Siar ó dheas i dtreo na farraige
'Measc na bláthanna buí 's na carriage
Is fada liom bheith thiar aríst i gConamara
An áit bheag dheas sin ar thit muid i ngrá
An chéad áit ariamh ar thóg tú mo lámh
Beidh muid ag siúl na trá le gealach lán le chéile anocht
    Luascadh, luascadh lena buachaillí
    Pógadh, pógadh lena cailíní
    Hey-ey-ey tóg amach mé
    Luascadh, luascadh lena buachaillí
    Pógadh, pógadh lena cailíní
    Hey-ey-ey tóg amach mé
Bhí muid ag damhsa ar feadh na hoích(e)
D'fhéach mé ortsa 's léim mo chroí
An samhradh is fearr ar domhan a'm leat i gConamara
    Luascadh, luascadh lena buachaillí
    Pógadh, pógadh lena cailíní
    Hey-ey-ey tóg amach mé
Luascadh le chéile ar feadh an lae
Luascadh leatsa mar is tú an té
    Hey-ey-ey tóg amach mé

I remember in middle school i did this song (in irish) for a talent show. I remember all the girls (including me) were wearing pink sparkly cowgirl hats, and the boys were wearing just normal tan coloured cowboy hats. We did alot of nice moves. I honestly never knew this song existed since the talent show, before we preformed i didnt know the song name, so i asked my friend and she said "The Wagon Wheel in Irish" and ever since, this song has been my favourite song. A moment with my friends i won't ever forget. I am so happy to be Irish. Fact: i wanted to be Canadian or American for years because that's where all the cool youtubers live/from are. I realised, i am extremely proud to be Irish. 🇨🇮💕🥺
