So many great tips in this video!!!
From the KING of organization and backups himself, that is a massive compliment! I'm still waiting for a rundown of YOUR SYSTEM.
@@SignatureEdits I’m working on it! Maybe yours is better
Solid advice, good job!
happy to help Simon!
2 TB is nothing even for me, a photographer, i can only imagine its one shoot for videographer. Backblaze seems like a way to go.
I hear you! I find the average 8 hour wedding or full day commercial shoot for me winds up on about a 64gb card, so 2tb fits 31 weddings if I kept EVERYTHING... That's why my process is only to cloud backup my SELECTS... which winds up being more like 90 shoots. Still not a lifetime's worth of backups for sure. It all comes down to how much and how often you shoot!
Watch out for laptops with on board nand !
You can always pull a old rust drive , ssd , nvme or sd card .
Not so if its part of a faulty laptop pcb .
The laptop maybe unrepairable .
Even for data recovery !
( If the data on a drive is important always get a second opinion ) .
Fair points! I have never had an internal drive fail on me but that is exactly why i always have a separate backup :)
