    Great video , keep it coming very helpful. with all tips of the motor. I own an Nissan Sentra 1.8 2006 special edition. Thanks for the video love to see more videos of this car. I will also love to see a small tutorial on changing the O2sensor oxygen fuel.

    Hey at 13:00 you ask "Is your pump actually pumping gas when it's priming ?". Well think you may have hit on something there,allow me to explain.
    Remember the day you asked me, "Are you cycling the key on-off on-off & letting it prime?"
    Well I acctually got the car to start on that day & rite before that 1 start I heard the pump bogg.The sound was noticably different & that was the 1 & only time it actually started & ran but only for 3secs

    I own a 2003 sentra. it continues to misfire. I have replaced the fuel pump twice (first defective), crank and cam shaft sensors, temp sensors, coils, and plugs. it will start up fine in warm weather. but in the cold it almost never does. this has been a recurring issue for 2 months. it recently had a p0303 reading for misfire, but the code disappeared when I added more gas into the tank. it seems to be an electric problem at this point. where should I begin?

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 8 lety +2

      +Brianna Chambers i would take a look at the ground connections and it could quite possibly be the cars control computer itself...... Otherwise a bad head gasket, intake manifold gasket....mass air flow sensor, air intake temp sensor just to name a few....

    • @More350Power

      The actual fuel filter itself is under the hood in this car.... very easy to get to and change. The fuel sock/sending unit/ and pump is in the tank also easy to get to under the back seat. Next time I do some vid on the ole car Ill show how to remove the fuel filter. The fuel pump in the tank, I dont wanna risk as its acting up and I dont wanna mess with it ( replacements arent cheap )

    So i need know why ,same time light servis engine soon light is coming .and after 3 days or 5 days is gone...and do you know which fuse servis engine soon light. Also I want the right way to fuse the car so that I compare my car whether it was right or there are errors or lack of. Will if i put a all fuse is it okay or dengor?

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 9 lety +1

      Mustafa Smaisem If you have an intermittent problem or connection that will cause the service engine soon light to come on and off. If the computer finds no problem it turns the light off usually. You could also have a malfunction of the computer all together. As far as fuses, you should go by what is in the owners manual or what you can find online. You wouldnt want to put a higher amperage say 20 amp fuse in a 10 amp fuse spot, that openes the door for problems and fires. Usually the amperage is marked in the fuse box lid and owners manual for the particular device in the car. As for there being a fuse for the ses light, there isnt one, or I would have pulled it on mine. That light is not a removable incandescent bulb like older vehicles but it is an led and directly wired into the information center on the cluster that tells you the temp mileage etc and from there it is wired into the cars computer via a yellow wire on some models.....

    Hi, I have Nissan sentra 2002 and on the diagnosis I found that the EVAP canister control valve is burnt out everytime I plug in the charcoal canister. It seems like ECM is malfunctioning, can you provide any idea to debug this issue. ECM is very expensive , I also have doubt that the harness might have cracked somewhere and that causes the control valve to burnt out. Is there any way to check the continuity of harness between ECM to control valve.

    Well, alright, I have several questions :
    1. Is there any easier way on how to remove and reinstall windshield washer reservoir with its pump rather than having to remove fender first and/or side cover or bumper cover ?
    2. How to find the location of engine coolant drain plug as well as the two air relief plugs for complete coolant flushing, not just through radiator drain plug ? The picture shown in owner's manual or service manual is not clear.
    Btw, thanks for showing the location of external harnessing to the ECU/ECM.

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 9 lety

      ***** Hmmmm, it could be a bad ground. The easiest way to find out is to find a dc volt meter or voltage checker that lights up. Put one probe at a time on each of the contacts in the tail light socket being carefull not to short anything together, you take the other end which would be ground and touch it to a grounded part of the body where you can get a good connection. Something that isnt painted or you have scraped the paint off. sometimes I run a wire from the negative terminal of the battery, hook that to the black probe which would be the negative on a test meter and test light and the other end to each of the contacts in the socket. If you get voltage, then you have a bad ground. if you get nothing, then you have a faulty connection between a and b. Let me know if this helps, I may be able to look up some schematics as they can become confusing

  • @fernyfloresdrummer3568

    I have a big question for you. I have the same car, do you (we) have 2 100a fuses in the engine fuse box? At the moment , mine has a 100a at the very top, which is the battery fuse. The at the left bottom , has 80a amp fuse. Is that the correct config? My car is cranking, but it won't start. Lights , horn, and all of the electronics work.

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 5 lety +1

      Mine had the 100 and 80 if I remember correctly. Those are main fuses. If you car isnt firing when you crank, i would listen for the fuel pump to prime when you turn the key to on and wait to hit start. These engines were also notorious for eating cam and crank sensors. When those go, it cranks but no fire

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 9 lety

      juan gonzalez you tps is all part of the drive by wire electronic throttle control on the throttle body. Its the big module facing the firewall with the good sized harness attached to it. The only module on the throttle body in fact. You do not want to disconnect it as you will have to perform an idle relearn program just as you would do if you replace it. You could have dirt built up inside your intake, but make sure you do not move the throttle butterfly inside, that can also make you have to perform an idle re learn or break the throttle control

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 6 lety

      Sounds like you arent getting any spark. Could have a bad ground or a bad ECU, blown fuse. Even when fuses look good, they can be bad. I went through it with this car. Kept getting a engine light for something that was working, changed some fuses and it went out. If you are able to dribble a very small amount of fuel into the cylinder or sometimes what I do is spray carb cleaner in the intake, crank, and if it does fire I know its not getting fuel. Even when you have fuel pressure, that does not mean the injectors are firing. If it still does not fire, you dont have spark. I have had bad spark plugs before, bad crank and cam sensors. Ive changed out those sensors on this car for it to only sputter and die, put the original in, order a new one again, installed and it was good. You can take one of the coil packs off, put a spark plug in in, make sure the body of the plug is grounded, crank the engine and see if it is sparking.

    hi. question some one changed my clutch. i have a 01 sentra. but now the clutch feels too soft like butter when i step on it. how do i know if he really changed the clutch. it feels like he just adjusted it. i could b wrong. one clue: my idle was off. car kept turning off for a while it seems ok now. and the speedometer was disconnected. help. ty

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 9 lety

      PalabraDeSABIDURIA well, the speedometer would come from an electrical sensor located on the transmission for one. The clutches in those cars, cannot be adjusted as they are self adjusting. When I got a new clutch put in, it had a faint clutch smell till it worse itself in, plus, I requested the old parts be returned to me. The soft pedal can come from many causes. If a new clutch was put in, I would assume that it was the whole kit, friction disk, pressure plate, pilot bushing and throw out bearing..... next the clutch slave atleast should have been changed. I changed the clutch master and slave at the same time. You could have a worn slave and or master and if there was indeed a new clutch put in, it may not be able to handle the pressure of the new pressure plate, thus leaking internally and causing a soft pedal. If all else, it could just need bled as there could be air in the lines. Though, I will tell you this. My original factory clutch that I had in this car, I HATED....... it was soft like a toy, you couldnt " feel " the clutch like you could in most any other vehicle. Look at the bolts on the trans, if they were wrenched on, there are usually fresh marks from the tools used, also....... was your radio reset like the battery was disconnected ?? The starter usually has to be removed to change the clutch.... Your idle was off ? as in to low or high or erratic ???. If the flywheel is resurfaced or replaced and is out of balance, it can cause idle issues and vibration. As can the clutch assembly as well.....

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 9 lety

      Walt Winfrey Hmmmm, it sounds like bad ignition switch OR, the solenoid trigger wire sometimes purple ( the thin one on the side of the starter ) has a broken connection from the ignition switch to the starter. OR you have a bad starter solenoid. When you turn that key it sends a signal via a small wire to the solenoid to close and makes the two large terminals connect and run the starter motor. are you jumping the two large terminals, one that has the battery cable and the other that goes into the starter or are you crossing the large cable coming in to the small terminal which would be the solenoid trigger ?

My sentra had a fuse in the positive terminal assembly on the wire feeding into the fuse block.... i would check there

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 8 lety +1

      They were known for fuel drain back problems. Try this, when you go to start it cold when it would normally crank and crank....... Turn the key to on, but don't start it.... Wait a few seconds turn it off, wait a few seconds, do this two or three times. Then try and start it, if it starts easier you have fuel draining back into the tank due to a faulty module in the pump. Nissan has had this issue with the sentras mostly and others. They claim it's been fixed, but I've known too many issues like is. If you changed you crank sensor you want to change the cam sensor as well at the same time, they were known for faulty cam and crank sensors as well.

    Hi can someone please confirm what kind of transmission fluid use to a 2007 nissan sentra gsx automatic transmission? Cvt or atf? Thanks

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 5 lety

      If the vehicle is equipped with a Constant Velocity Transmission or CVT then you will want to use nissan CVT fluid. CVT transmissions dont shift like a regular automatic does. An AF always a manual, but ive seen where castrol had at for nissan and other imports marked on the bottle.

    Hello, I have a 2013 Sentra SR with an automatic trans. As of late, when I need to use my headlights, it effects my throttle by way of being intermittent. It's like I am letting off of the gas pedal when I am not. Sometimes it kicks back in and makes the car lunge, kind of in and out, in and out.. At an idle and stopped, in park or neutral, the throttle seems to be functioning correctly. If any ideas of the problem, I'd greatly appreciate any help! Thanks

    In this particular car, where is the fuel pressure regulator? I have the starting problem related to fuel pressure drop due to fuel being leaked back to the tank. If I turn the key on but don't start the car right away, it usually starts without issues, but if I don't wait, it will struggle to start-up. I would have to push the gas pedal to help start. Any advice? Thanks in advance

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 8 lety

      +Pedro Wheeler Jimenez There is a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail, but that is most likely not the problem. These cars had faulty anti drain back valves which were inside the fuel tank as part of the fuel pump assembly. My car did the same thing when it was warm especially, I would have to either pump the pedal a couple times, or cycle the key from on to off and it would fire right up. Otherwise it would craaaaaank for some times 30 seconds or more..... Nissan released a tsb on older vehicles and possibly a recall, but never claimed what its owers have confirmed, it still existed in newer vehicles.

    Hey, I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8. Last week, it would not start. It would just turn over and over. After trying to start it several times, I'd smell the hint of gas. A few months ago I had a misfire on 3 and replaced the spark plugs. So, I thought I'd change out the ignition coil on cylinder 3. I did that and after pumping the gas I got it to start. It ran rough at first but eventually smoothed out. When cranking, it would run rough until I revved the engine and run fine. Now, it won't crank again. Is it that I need to replace the other three ignition coils? Or is it something else. I've got 210 K miles on it, so I figure the ignition coils have lasted as long as they should have.

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 9 lety

      If you havent already, I would change your camshaft and crankshaft sensors. Nissan had problems with them from 01 or 02 and had re calls, but from 03 and up they did not re call although they used the same parts. rockauto they are cheap there. These B15 sentras also had another flaw and recall that did not reach to 04 and up...... the fuel pump had a drain back problem when warm. It would loose pressure and have to have the key cycled several times to get fuel back to the engine when the engine was warm. You say your smelling gas and its not firing... sounds like your flooding it out possibly...... if you hit the air intake with ether and it doesnt fire, you got no spark at all and I would say the cam and crank sensors are to blame if all fuses are good...... I would open the air box and give it a shot of ether ( starting fluid ) crank it and if its still not firing, look at your cam and crank sensors. They are known for this exact issue. Btw, since nissan has drive by wire throttle, pumping the gas actually tells the engine's computer which in turn tells the engine, hey I need some more gas kinda like the old carbs. I hit the gas as it says in my manual when its cold, tells the computer give it some more gas and prepare for a hard cold start.....

    • @rebelscum6356
      @rebelscum6356 Před 9 lety

      More350Power I tried the either into the intake, nothing. I have had a friend looking at this. Both the Cam and Crank shaft sensors have been replaced, still not firing. It's getting gas, there's gas on the plugs. He says he's 95% sure it's the ECM. He tells me if we get it, try starting it, and it cranks then turns off, it is the ECM and it will need programming. Is there anything else to check before this is done?

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 9 lety

      Rebel Scum
      Well, it sure seems like you arent getting spark for sure..... did you try changing the plugs, or pulling one out putting the coil on it crank the engine and see if you have any spark... even though you replaced the cam and crank sensors, they can be bad. I kept my old ones even though they were half dead in an emergency they will get me off the road. Bad ecm yea it could do that so could some bad grounds also im thinking. If the plugs have gas on them they might not fire properly even if you got spark back.... I often times run one leg of the jumper cable to the negative terminal on the battery and the other end to the engine block where I get a good clean solid connection when I have issues with any electrical part. If things improve, then I know to check my ground distribution and grounding straps

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 6 lety +1

      I would say its a bad crank sensor honestly..... if that doesnt send a signal you get no apark. If could also be the cam position sensor as well which is on the side of the valve pan. The crank sensor can be a real bear to get to and you usually crack it taking it out. Could have a wire loose to especially if it happened after the sensors were changed you could have a bad sensor.

      Assuming the door actuator is bad, you would have to get behind the glove box just above the blower motor. I cant remember, but I think it was when I was changing the cabin air filter and left the cover off i checked the recycle door on it. Had a few leaves in it though lol. You should be able to get one from the junk yard or online fairly cheap. I wish I remembered the exact location, but I know there is a simple door that closes off from above and forces the air to be drawn up behind the glove box when on re circulate.

Big mistake i know. Now the car will not start. The fuel pump does not prime, I have swapped out relay and ECU, no luck. Fuel pump works fine when hooked to power. I know this is an ECU related problem but I figured swapping ECUs would work.... I tried hooking up my code reader to it, but had no luck. • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 9 lety

      Markus Johnson It sounds like you fried a couple of items. Even when fuses look good they can be bad. There is an engine control unit, but there is also a body control unit as well, not to mention a few small items in the cluster head unit itself. I am not sure when swapping an ecu if it will work without programming it for your vehicle even when its the same engine etc, I know some need to be programmed for the current vin, cluster and some others things. It sounds like it went into anti theft mode, but I know those sentras do not have a chip in the key. You may have fried a fusable link in the system also. Electrical problems can be a nightmare to trace down. The battery maintainers are bad in that, even when they say auto off etc...... they over charge a battery and evaporate out the liquid in the battery damaging it. I always advise people to hook their maintainer to a lap timer and have it come on for an hour or two a day and off for the rest....

    • @markusjohnson8830
      @markusjohnson8830 Před 9 lety

      More350Power Thanks for the response. After a LOT of trouble shooting, I found that my wire going from the ECCS fuse to my ECM relay was the cause of my problems. After running a new wire from ECCS fuse to ECM relay, my computer was alive! Fired up first time right after that.. Strange why the wire went kaput and not the fuse?

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 9 lety

      Markus Johnson Hmmm, its possible that it corroded somewhere along the line or, sometimes, in the past ive seen where people are testing wiring in vehicles and they pierce the insulation of the wire with the testing probe, this can be bad as moisture gets up in there and the wire eventually fails. Though, wires can just fail with little to no movement, like the wires on the back of your home pc. Heating and cooling cycles can contribute to this, though sometimes rare.

      The process of elimination starting with the simple, easy, and cheapest... what happens if you try to jump start it using a running vehicle. Does the engine turn over and start, if so you got a bad battery or battery terminals....... if not you want to inspect the wiring under the hood, especially the wires that come from the battery. Follow them from start to end and make sure there are no cracks corrosion or broken strands of wire on its terminal ends.... you can take the starter out and either bench test it or take it to a local autozone and have them test it for you. If it tests good, then you are back looking at the wiring..... kinda get where im going ?

      I would recommend an o2 sensor wrench/socket. It makes it easier, though you can use a regular wrench while you run the chance of rounding it off. In most cases I have had to heat it up with a torch to get it to break loose, though there are some times when it came out slick as butter. I usually disconnect the battery just to be safe and make sure the harness plug on the new one matches the old before I remove it. Keep in mind some of the new ones may have a different design from the OE. I know mine did when I replaced it.

      It is either located in the passenger side fuse box under the hood or up under the dash on the passenger side if equipped.

      did you hit on the drivers side by chance ? I hydroplaned in this car and it cut the main wiring to the injectors/ignition and more. It runs between your drivers side inner and outer fender and eventually comes out just behind the drivers head light. it goes to the fuse box on the drivers side then down and along the lower rad core support and up the other side to the relay box. It branches out along the way for the injectors, cam and crank sensor, other sensors, computer and everything else. After I hydro planed it cut the wiring. I did a repair with solder and shrink tubing and a section of the wiring from a junk yard and it lasted longer than the car. EVERYTHING runs through there. When you sever a wire, you blow fuses and lots of them. I had a gallon bag full lol

      More350Power I did hit on drivers side at that spot. Crushed headlight and bent the bracket back holding it into battery a couple inches. Made a dent into battery still works though. Still cranks no ignition. Yeah thinking that's it but relays and fuses in that lil black box ( that's besides the battery) look ok not blown.

      More350Power now at shop. But mech said it's a bit of mystery to him. I told him it might be a cut wire. Should u be able to hear fuel pump in tank ? Friend say I should be able to but nothing. No spark at ignition coil. Tested it with screwdriver no spark. Held it jammed into coil then put it grounded it.

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 6 lety

      You should hear the pump when you first turn the key. That main harness killed everything when it was cut, especially since it goes up to the computer on the passenger side....

    • @franknieves5012
      @franknieves5012 Před 5 lety

      Were the computer sits at those wires there two bolts holding wires and one of them are not connected could that be why it won’t start

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 5 lety

      if it is a ground, it is possible. If one of those black wires is off and you can find a ring clip under that bolt that had a wire on it, you found an issue. I know those grounds caused me some issues.

    So you disconnected both your abs releys.Is that the tip?

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 6 lety

      Nope, this car being a manual transmission has no abs on it. I was just going over some pieces of information I thought of in relation to a question I was asked by a fellow youtuber. What kinds of problems are you having with your vehicle ?

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  Před 5 lety

      they have the slots in there as it was an option, however, if it did not come built with it, installing just fuses would not help. Instead of making a fusebox for each different vehicle they made one from my understanding. Like fog lights..... up until 2004 they had all the wiring in the cars, you just had to had the fixtures, switches, and fuses...... now you have to add everything. Easiest way to tell is if you see an ABS light when you turn you key to on. If the system is equipped with such a system it should have an indicator light regardless of a fuse missing.
