    Just Brilliant 👍🏻 Currently I am paying $140 AUD for a 50gram pouch of Port Royal tobacco, yeah WTF!
    I have several tobacco plants growing Wild and seriously considering learning how to Grow, Process & Enjoy the Way-Cheaper puff. Thanks for making this video. Happy to subscribe. Cheers from Western Australia 🇦🇺 Oi 👍🏻

    Really enjoyable video. Great looking flake and you're right there is far too much 'science' talk spoken about growing and processing your own tobacco. I'll give your plastic bag fermenting idea a go with the first batch of leaves I've just cured.

    I started growing my own in Massachusetts this past year, four varieties, two Burley and two Virginia. I had zero experience. I bought seed on eBay from a farm in Kentucky. I over-planted because I had no idea how easily these plants take hold and, as you say, basically grow themselves. I ended up weeding out 90% of my baby plants because I had no room for them all. The sand-like seed has about a 95% viability rate, like grass. You have to plant them with soft tweezers so you only drop one or two at a time in the peat starter pods. I transferred them into small plastic pots, which they quickly outgrew. By the end of the season, the plants I ended up with were healthy but small and not quite fit for harvest, so I just kept the new seed (got a TON of seed). I have already mapped out next year's crop. Bigger, better pots, suitable soil, proper bamboo sticks, much simpler fertilizers. Your video has encouraged me greatly! Thanks! =^-.-^=

    Hey mate, I got the same setup as you with an identical press. How did you sort out the press releasing by itself? I was thinking about using pliers or something to tighten the chuck but I don't want to wreck it. Or maybe too much pressure? Do you think the pressure needs to be moderate to begin with and increased a little each day? *UPDATE* BRAND NEW PRESS HAD TOO MUCH HYDRAULIC FLUID AND WAS FULL OF AIR. GO FIGURE.

    use fresh unpasteurized honey, it's antibiotic and will no allow any mold to grow, get it from a local bee-keeper, and I have to ask, do you smoke this or chew it? or possibly both?

    • @GlueFist
      @GlueFist  Před 5 lety

      Thanks Mike, I have been using unpasteurized honey lucky enough to get from a good source mixed with a little distilled water, still get some mould though I think more a case of just getting the right amount of drying time before I cellar it. And to answer your question, it's to smoke..pipe smoke specifically. Thanks for the tip

      To get the effects of tobacco, you do not need to inhale. The contact of the smoke with your mouth and nose is enough.
