Everybody 1-2-Switch is a tedious and surprisingly small catalog of unoriginal and mostly poorly designed minigames that’s guaranteed to bring any party grinding to a halt. Even with a few interesting ideas, like Joy-Con hide and seek or the color scavenger-hunting modes, there are simply too few options to keep a group’s attention for one game, much less for multiple matches. Throw in the fact that many ideas are mind-numbingly boring, and others are rehashes of stuff found in the original, and you’ve got yourself a great way to rid yourself of unwanted friendships but not much more than that.

It’s so crazy that nintendo actually put this out. Seems like they should’ve just cut their losses and cancelled it
Honestly seems to sum up their business decisions with the Switch in a nutshell by having released this. Granted, at a lower price but much like with the original title, it should’ve been a free title instead.
True, but the budget of this game was probably like a couple of 12 packs of Soda and 3 boxes of Kraft Mac and Cheese.
Apparently Nintendo already made tons of physical carts before they found out how bad the reception was in play testing

It's like a game from the Wii by a third party that was so so bad that it barely worked and was bare bones. Far past the days of when a Nintendo first party game with a Nintendo seal of approval meant top top quality
F-zero died so that 1 2 Switch could thrive

No wonder Nintendo didn't wanna advertise it. When your own play-testers are denouncing the game, maybe just cut your losses and cancel it.

@@Deliveredmean42most likely investors demanding the game be released, similar to Cyberpunk 2077. Of course this depends on how much of this game was funded by separate investors and not within Nintendo themselves.

You always know when a Nintendo game is going to be bad because they just don't advertise it at all. Happened with Devil's Third too. Usually they're just announced unceremoniously with an imminent release date. Or something they have no confidence in like Labo. This marketing style from Nintendo spells doom

That Find the Joycon can be played with the Switch's controller setting since it has rumbling command as well to....find your controller
They would’ve been better off releasing this as free timed release dlc for the original game via NSO + expansion pack.
Nintendo should make their own version of Dreams for Switch, allowing gamers to make their own party games and such.
Game Builder Garage exists.
they kinda made one, it's Game Building Garage.
though it's nowhere near the quality seen in dreams.
dreams is basically Blender met Z-brush but for consoles it let's you make assets, video games, music, animations, painting etc.
game building garage don't have those, you can't sculpt original assets for an example, you can however make your own stuff using a very limited pixelated tools, game building garage mostly focus on how to program a logic or a game, while dreams will give you everything and plus.
Game Builder Garage is a Thing...... But Game Development with 256 Nodes is nothing..... Greater Games have a Higher Amount of Nodes or are written in a Different Coding System......
If Nintendo wanted everybody 1-2 switch to succeed they wouldn’t have shown an up coming Wario Ware game with motion controls which might have more creative and fun mirco games

Not really surprised that this game is super mediocre, when it was randomly revealed on twitter and the trailer didn’t even make it into the June direct it was clear that this was just to fill the gap between Tears of the Kingdom and Pikmin 4

Nintendo has these odd tone-deaf moments where they feel like their gimmick needs to be justified. They did this with Star Fox Zero, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks and Kir Icarus Uprising [which was a amazing game DESPITE its controls.
Makes sense why they didn’t market it

I've hated the original 1,2 switch, it's a ridiculous low cost shovelware game of course the sequel would be a disaster like it is

this is clearly a streamer game and it's totally fine for that purpose
This is for families, group of friends, not for gamers. This game is soo fun in that context, so we must consider that it isnt for people who are in to the hard core part of gaming. Aka, with respect to IGN and the people who reviewed this game, the review biased, subjective and not objective.
Try the game out for yourself and then make your opinion about the game.

This game is great family fun, the Alien and Simon says are great fun.
They should have just saved this game for the next gen Nintendo Switch Successor that is coming at some point soon and just made it for that instead and be a free pack-in game
The sour taste this game leaves is not worth the reputation of the next gen. It belongs in the dessert by ET
