    I saw one in person at my local Brompton Junction. It is a very cool and light bike, I like it! The one thing that is not mentioned is that the bike frame/tube is much larger/fatter than your regular brompton. As a point of reference, it will not fit in the overhead compartment in an airplane because it is a "fatter" bike. Nevertheless, it is still a sweet bike.

    A shame Brompton cannot meet demand to supply of this lovely bike. There is a waiting list around the world which need addressing. I know.
    I’ve had two on order in different countries and there seems to be little sign of when they will be arriving.
    Titanium and Brexit are not helping production.
    I tried one in store and it’s a joy to ride after riding my 11kilo 6 speed Black edition!

    • @richmck007
      @richmck007 Před rokem

      I am in the same boat as you! I also have a 2018 6speed Black Edition and have ordered a P Line with the S handlebar instead of the racing h/bar which looks like a T shape. I live in a flat city / country and 4 speeds is more than enough. Never use 6 gears when I ride.
      I tried it and a Ti as well and I have to say as a speedy cyclist coming from carbon fibre bikes both the Ti and P Line are light if you are fit enough and strong enough.
      I settled for the P Line version as no one knows when the Ti version will be back in mass production.
      I intend to remove mudguards, change several parts including pedals to reduce my P Line version to even less.
      I got my Black edition down to 10,6 kilos at a cost! But it is even faster. Cannot wait to tweak my P Line.
      The Ti can wait for another day!

    As an owner of a 2019 SuperlightM6LXBrompton I am presently down to about the weight of a T-line with mudguards and my 6 gears, for now 8,75, and I expect to come below 8,5 kilo, at least, with a little more work and changes of parts. Finn. Denmark

    • @MrArchieRoberts

      I assume as belt drive requires an internal hub unless you go for the single speed. The internal hubs weigh a fair bit

      It depends on what you mean by roll,
      and the surface condition.
      Small roller wheels, odd balance and wheel alignment.
      Can be done, also can use Sidewinder rack , but stripping for weight means roll-ability is compromised further.

    • @U-Choob
      @U-Choob  Před 2 lety +7

      I do have a Brompton, it’s about 10+ years old and I am very familiar with folding/unfolding that one. On this bike there are several minor and noticeable differences to the folding. For example, there is now a catch below the rubber suspension block to lock the rear triangle in place. The knobs used to tighten the hinges have very short threads so they will only unscrew to just a few millimetres beyond the latch then stop. The seat post seems to pull out half way then stop and needs to be twisted slightly to pull it out fully. The tube frame diameter has increased. Also I was trying to be extra careful.!

    I've been riding this bike for about a month czcams.com/users/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.
