  • The Graff Speedcutter is a wood cutting blade made to fit a standard angle grinder. It is intended for engraving, shaping, grinding, grooving, and straight and cross-cutting. It is designed to prevent kickback and overheating, and for use at high RPM. We give it a test to see how well it performs.

Picked one of these up and looking forward to trying it - often need to make rough cuts and a circular saw is often just too bulky or just plain not the ideal tool.
For the people saying it shouldn't be used as the artist is - Graff themselves demonstrate using this disc in pretty much every way you saw here, it's designed to take it. They claim the tooth profile avoids kickback, I can't say if that is guaranteed but they have factored in lots of different use scenarios in its design.

Glad to see they are making a smaller size now, I have the 5" one and it's too dangerous to use without a guard.

Great little tool. To me it looks like Big Foot. Thumbs up Fred, good to see you back.

Thanks, Orely! It's great to be back. This stuff is in my blood. This and drumming.

These blades are very very dangerous, I wouldn't use them

I am also curious to know your opinion on why these tools are very very dangerous. I am looking to purchase one and would really like to hear your opinion on this blade. I have used chain saw wheels and don't believe I would ever use one of those again

They are perfectly safe when used properly, when you know that an angle grinder can potentially be dangerous. Using it without the side handle as he does here looked a bit dangerous to me, but he isn't a woodworker, as they state. I got the impression he was using it here like he would a chainsaw, and I doubt it was intended to be used that way. I would never use it the way shown here, and would never upload such a video showing it used this way.
