Air Compressor Maintenance
zhlédnutí 4KPřed 6 lety
Bought a used Ingersoll Rand 24-gallon air compressor. It needed maintenance before I started using it. This video covers changing the compressor oil and air filter, belt tension and wear, testing for leaks, replacing a bad drain valve, extending the valve out from under the tank, and general cleaning.

This third video in the Rolling Drum Kit Platform series details building the sockets that hold the legs in place, the tongue for pulling the platform, and the angle aluminum along the edges to strengthen the plywood. I found a great price on a collection of power tools including a Black and Decker benchtop band saw, a Chicago Electric 10" compound slide miter saw, an American Tool Exchange plunge router, a Central Machinery 12" 5-speed wood lathe, a Ridgid 6-1/8" jointer, and a Craftsman 10" table saw. Unfortunately, they're all rusty and in need of cleaning and/or repair. This video is an overview of the t...
Storing a Pallet Load of Maple Overhead

We bought a pallet-load of maple slats. Now, where to store them? There was no place on the ground or in the shop, so I turned to overhead storage. A rolling platform for transporting a small drum kit without having to break it down. The idea is that the stand legs are permanently anchored to the platform so that they do not shift, fold or collapse. Put it all together! Metal Cutting Station, Part 4

Fourth and final video in a series, "Build a Metal Cutting Station". To adjust the alignment of the rail, we cut a taper with the jointer on the face of 1/4"x4"x10" stock, and size and mount the steel u-channel and plates. We find a problem with the flexible strap not holding the grinder steady and fix that as well. HARDWARE SOURCES Here is where we obtained the harder-to-find items in the inve...
Build This Drill Press Angle Jig
zhlédnutí 20KPřed 7 lety
Build a drill press jig to hold stock at various angles. The fence attaches side to side or top to bottom. Two t-tracks provide for ample hold-down of stock. A modified protractor helps determine the angle. The center piece can be replaced when worn. The jig can be turned to either side on the drill press table to accomodate longer stock. Note: the design of this jig borrows heavily from a patt...

Compass/Marking Gauge: Wood By Wright Hand Tool Build-Off 2016
Hi Fred. This is a great tool. I am a retired nurse. I would have loved to have made this, but arthritis in both hands prevents it. Can one still purchase it? Link to Etsy no longer works.
I'm assuming you'll take the flag in at night or when it rains. That would leave the metal base. If someone fell on it, that would be a problem.
Thank you for sharing. My channel is also working on this topic. Hope your channel always grows.
What socket size is he using to remove the nut
Thank you!
One of those ASMR whispering videos.
Great video I like the drums!
жуть кошмарная ...
I would have put a nylon or fiber washer between the lock-ring and the housing to take up the play and a drop of thread locker on the retaining bolt for the cam. Other than that, good job!
I like the design, I'm going to try something similar but with cauls between some of the screws to keep the piece flat.
Spectacular! You've made me think I can do this easily (without making my head spin too much). HA HA HA. Thank you for an awesome video.
This is the best one I've seen. This video needs more views.
Loved it!
Good Video! What is the make of the 1st. motor (al.cover) did it come with a mounting bracket or did you make it?
Awesome video, thanks for making it. I think I may do this over PVC. I didn't know PVC was pretty explosion prone
Excellent video. Thank you.
Now I know what looks like inside!! Thank you for sharing. Should pull out the sliders and clean them while at it. 👍 yes more work but be done with. 😊
Fuc smart key
Did you put these plans up for sale?
Beautiful!
The music in this is exhilarating
Not for me there more than 10 ways to do that
Thank you for this video fellow Texan, I need to replace a broken deadbolt and was really hoping to use my existing key!
Very good, I'll use that for my Soviet flag.
Thank you, thank you! I was able to figure out what was wrong with the press I inherited and fix it thanks to your video!
Unfortunately you have a two-fold problem. You need a longer bit, but the spindle movement is only a couple inches if the spindle movement could be increased somebody needs to make a drill press that way
Nice tip drilling the whole at an angle. Never saw that before.
What brand of forstner bit is that ?
I have the same jointer - when maneuvering it around I almost got my own Darwin Award nomination when it tipped sideways and me under it. It got a little beyond the 45 degree mark before I could stop it's fall.
Of course you could just split your stock, rout out a channel and glue back together. But is that too easy?
I like your story. O and vid helped out good thx
Thanks a lot
You are a good teacher, Thanks.
Thanks Fred! Super helpful.
my left ear enjoyed it
Thank you, this solved my problem. Exactly the same issue, I was confident enough to follow your instructions on a different brand machine from 1981 and it still worked.
Great, helpful video. Thanks for taking time to help those of us who are not as “handy” as you are!
Sir thank you!! Great video!!
This guy is a carpenter ninja.
What a fuckin great idea!
Enjoyed your video but the background music is a distraction & does nothing to it.
Your experience and design skills are genius :) I wish I had the tools for this but I'm taking inspiration
Why not use a clamp instead holding it with your hand?
Your cats at the window are like my kids in the fridge, haha. AWESOME!
Great video - very helpful, thank you, sir.
clamp your table gear in place. Then use your height crank to move the piece instead of the spindle stroke.
Thanks for that great video appreciations for sharing with us this 🇩🇰👍
Hi Fred, getting ready to make a bread proofing box, been checking out videos for tips, you and your jig convinced me to become more accurate, so I’m getting jiggy with it, thanks for your help!
Nice and clear, Thank You!
Why didnt you clean and lubricate the shafts whilst the tensioner was out.???
