  • The driver side quarter panel had been replaced at one point during the life of my Coronet. The problem was that it had been installed just a little off and the trunk lid hit when it was closed.
My buddy Drew came over to the house, along with his 30 years of bodywork experience. I was planning on having him check the situation and get it started and then I would finish weld and grind.
He finished the entire job in 2 hours.
    Thanks Drew.

People like Drew are worth their weight in gold in this life. Pretty rare, too.
Digging the work and yes, digging the scoop too - one of the few I actually like is that design.
Meh, screw Covid. Had it when that whole thing first started. Ain't no hill for a stepper. 🙂
Happy New Year and God bless y'all!

You are really kicking out the vids here lately. Understand you saying won’t necessarily keep up this schedule.
The Vaseline comment was probably a reference to Curley, a character from the John Steinbeck novel Of Mice and Men. He always wore a glove on his left hand full of Vaseline to keep his hand soft.

Good to have friends who know what they’re doing. I have a door on my 65 Satellite that was hit by a forklift at the salvage yard, no door skins were available and I had no clue how to stretch and shrink all that metal back in place but my buddy did. It turned out great with very little filler. Where did you find your hood scoop? That’s exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks

A guy named Hemi Eddy is selling them for someone else. He's on the Facebook group Early 63-65 B bodies.
      Congrats on that door.
