Respected Sir, plz share pros and cons in taking 'History' optional.

First pros in taking history as optional.
1. You will have enough facilities like materials, lectures and it's a static part so there would be no need for updates. And the success ratio is also good enough.
Now coming to the cons...you will have to study more because the question level will be above UG and below PG. You won't feel burden, unless you enjoy studying history.
But if you hate reading the past, you will feel difficult especially in writing answers for mains.
But bro whatever you choose for optional make sure that you are well interested in that subject...deep understanding of any subject is the key route for success.

I am in a big confusion on deciding about my graduation..I have only two choice ..one is to select BA history and the other is BA eng lit...I know that if i take eng lit for my graduation, i will have enough time for upsc preparation,,,but when it comes to optional,, the study material is too big for me,, lack of guidance and lack of lectures...so i don't know what to pick,??😣🤔
