I am a thread in the tapestry
I have the Master’s hand on me
And then He weaves me carefully
    Making textures as He goes
Each of us part of this Great Design
You’ve got your part and I’ve got mine
All of our lives are intertwined
As the fabric starts to grow
    Through thick and thin
    The Master weaves us in
    Young and old
You’re the colors of the rainbow
Our lives are short and long
    But together we hold strong
    In this everlasting tapestry
Taking the lovely and the plain
All of our laughter and our pain
Passing them back and forth again
    The pattern can be seen
And when we’re finished we will be
    A perfectly woven tapestry
    A beautiful new creation seen
For all the universe to see
    Through thick and thin
The Master weaves us in (yeah)
    Young and old
You’re the colors of the rainbow
Our lives are short and long
    But together we hold strong
    In this everlasting tapestry
And every thread is known by name
Not a single thread the same
Every thread is known by name
As we’re woven on this frame
    Into a tapestry of love

I know a few nice ppl have told me my comments about her no longer singing for the Lord are "absolute garbage." Thanks! Your desire to put me down only reinforces what I've said. Anytime ANYONE who used to sing for the Lord and is now no longer doing so is indeed putting out "garbage" in His eyes. If a former Christian singer (and I'm speaking in terms of generalities, NOT pointing fingers at anyone) starts singing songs about having sex, does that glorify the Lord? No. I only know from experience that people who are believers and proceed to stray from a ministry they've been called into will not go far.

Psalm 37v4 - I am sad that a believer is allowed to have sex, eat until they make themselves sick, and do all kinds of things that are not FOR the Lord, but can't sing a song it's considered sacred, gospel, or Christian. That is SO hypocritical!

And Jay Jacqueline, I am sad that you decided to modify a post from FOUR YEARS AGO just to criticize me and my post from NINE MONTHS AGO. You don't know me just as I don't know you. However, anyone could go on your page and find false teachings, but you conveniently choose to forbid commenting. Have you ever thought that you, too, are being "SO hypocritical?" Are you better than everyone else? I DON'T THINK I'M BETTER THAN ANYONE. I AM JUST A WORTHLESS NOBODY SERVING CHRIST WITH ALL MY HEART.
you've resorted to falsely accuse me of thinking that I condone sin like the ones you describe. (Guess what....I don't.) I urge you to stop judging ppl based on what you THINK you know.
And I know I'm "SO hypocritical" for standing up for the truth. I'm "SO hypocritical" for speaking from experience as a believer who used to sing secular music and later on discovered God called me into music ministry. And I suppose I’m hypocritical by saying that God put me through some serious trials when I wasn’t serving him. (No, I'm not a pro singer nor do I think so.) I'm "SO hypocritical" for not just letting other believers sing whatever they want, that it doesn't matter to God. I believe that if someone is called into ministry you shouldn't sing anything that doesn't glorify the Lord. But I guess you think It's ok? (NO I don't know you nor am I trying to figure you out. ) I am NOT saying you must do as I say, but I'm hoping you will at least pray and think about these things.
If you're going to be "sad" about believers having sex, overeating, and other sins, WHY are you not "sad" that a believer proceeds to sing songs that don't glorify God? Contrary to popular belief, not all music glorifies Him. Not all music is "Christ-centered." There are probably millions of songs that are more about material things, selfish pleasures, etc.
Do you consider such songs "sacred?" How about songs referencing their hatred of God? Are they sacred? Listen to some of today's current pop music. How much of that would you call sacred?
A lot of people think singing love songs is not hurting anybody and yet somehow glorifies God. But if you're a Christian artist, your job is to minister in song. God called me into that many years ago. (And before you assume I think I'm better than everyone, I'm NOT. I am not a professional. BUT God has shown me a lot of things over the years and I am sharing that with the world.)
Let me make something clear. I'm not saying this song, nor this album from Teri ISN'T "sacred, gospel, or Christian." It is. But some of her later albums are less focused on Christ and are more (secular) love songs. Do you think those are "sacred?" There are far too many artists doing that. If a believer has been called into music ministry, God does NOT want them singing mostly songs about love, romantic relationships, sex, etc. because those will not minister to people. God will also not bless a believer who walks away from the ministry he called them into and proceeds to do the exact opposite. It just isn’t His will. He cannot go against his nature, and his nature is not to just go ahead and bless believers who rebel. Read the story of the prodigal son and see. Choose this day who you will serve.
God is just as sad when his people choose to sin deliberately. Which is why He is also sad when a believer who has been called into Ministry chooses not to heed that call.
Yes I may be a hypocrite in your eyes and probably a trillion others, but ask the Lord about me. I'm not perfect, but I try to honor Him in everything I do, say and sing.
**I'm not perfect but I serve a perfect God.**
