    This was very informative not to mention, very fun to watch. I've so much nostalgia just from watching your videos. Too often the media especially in this country focuses on the graphic horrendous livelihood of the average Nigerian, so i appreciate for sharing both sides, in the beginning of this vlog & in the end. Nne well done o!

      Yup! Africans are the only set of people on earth who base the narrative of their continent on the perspectives of the poor & uneducated members of their society!!!
      What is a “real Nigerian”? The hungry man on the street or the Nigerian tech giants, oil giants, billionaire industrialists, or the showbiz celebrities????
      Here in the UK, we have our hungry, poor, homeless white British citizens but we never let them set the tone of our national image!
      It’s incredibly foolish, naive & counterproductive to all the perspective of the poor dictate the narrative of your country!
      Always put your best foot forward! Stop making documentaries of African poverty just to glorify white imperialism! Focus on black excellence!!!

      @@RoyaIboy Certainly, you do have a good point here. But at the same time, I must remind you, when the number of poor people are rather overwhelming, that stat has to be reflected. Otherwise, a salient fact has been omitted.
      So, one way or the other, that poor segment of the population, which is very relevant, must find its way into the overall picture, if your information has to be taken seriously and factually.
      My concluding take is, the poor, given that they are mostly handicapped by their level of information and exposure, may not set the tone, but we can’t discount their social objective presence, which is increasingly overwhelming.
      By the way, Nigeria is not a wealthy or rich country. Potentially, yes. In reality, no.
      Or what do you think, based on the socio-economic reality on ground?

    I must confess, I prefer your writing. Although, with a caveat. I haven’t watched your other videos, as you said it’s a seven-part series.
    But coming to your writing. It’s so thorough, lucid, comprehensive etc. You provide all requested information and go beyond to anticipate further relevant ones. I’m inclined to conclude it’s your nature. Because it’s almost a standard for all the enquiries you attended.
    Well, I hope you’re not turned off by my current choice. Because you’d naturally prefer people liking your video more. But I couldn’t help loving your writing. Brilliant!

    Thank you so much for this video!! I am supposed to travel to Nigeria at the end of the year. But I have been so skeptical because I was unsure if it was safe to do so. I also wondered if you need to quarantine. I kept seeing that you have to quarantine for seven days and then take the test. But it doesn’t look like you had to do that. So that makes me feel much better also!

    • @Blossom2Fitness
      @Blossom2Fitness  Před 3 lety +1

      I don’t know anyone who quarantines the only thing was doing the covid test while there. Again check current rules in regards to covid testing because I travelled earlier this year. Nigeria is quite safe for foreigners in my opinion so you shouldn’t have anything to really worry about assuming you are not traveling to northern Nigeria. What part of Nigeria will you be traveling to?

    I have family traveling from Abuja to Owerri just as you did. They would like to arrive in Abuja and leave to Owerri the same day. How much time did it take to clear customs and present your COVID documentation? How much time overall would you plan for?

    • @Blossom2Fitness
      @Blossom2Fitness  Před 3 lety +3

      Honestly it only took us like 30mins or less to get through customs, present documents, and collect our bags. But mind you, my mom was in a wheelchair so we didn’t wait in line and we landed at like 6am so the airport was nearly empty. My husband came through Lagos and went to Owerri the same day he said it took him like an hour to get through customs. He landed in the morning and took an afternoon flight to Owerri. So i personally would give myself 4 hours just to be safe and give time to check into the Owerri flight. Bear in mind if you are using an American or foreign passport it will take you longer to get through customs. I use my Nigerian passport. And once you collect your bags you may need to go outside and take a taxi a few minutes to the local airport Terminal. I’m not exactly sure proximity from the international terminal to the local terminal.....It may only take you 2 hrs to get through everything realistically if you land early morning but just to be safe give yourself more time.

    • @Blossom2Fitness
      @Blossom2Fitness  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes I used free WiFi, I don’t remember how long a session lasted. You have to find a WiFi station register your passport and it prints a password for you. My layover was also like 9 hours in Istanbul. I explored for a bit, ate food, and I registered both my passports for the WiFi so I could use it longer. Good question. The website states “Diplomats and children less than 10 years old are exempted from payment for the repeat COVID-19 test.” I copied this directly from the website. I assume if they are under 10 you do not have to pay to retest, but testing is still required. For travel to and from US everyone age 2 and older must test. So I would assume you must fill a form for everyone traveling age 2 and older. But you do not have to pay if they are under 10 years old. But you should verify with them because it does not state this anywhere. And I did not travel with a child so I’m not sure. Hope this helps

    Which airline did you decide to use?

      I took Turkish airlines booked through ASAP tickets though based on my experience using ASAP tickets I can not recommend them. The price was cheaper than normal and it was a last minute trip which is why I booked it. Nothing special or particular bad about Turkish airlines the flight was ok, the food on flight could have been better......I typically fly Delta
