- If you plan to make an upgrade, first of all check the specification of yours model. Depending of the Chipset and the producer, every laptop have a limit of the expansion of the RAM memory.
- Check exactly type of the used memory modules. This models use DDR3 technology.
- You can use modules with a different speed but the processor will work with them at the speed of the slower one.
- Some modules will not work together.

**except for the god damn noise that I have a feeling they're trying to pass off as music. Why? If you're not going to speak- I can't even begin to tell you how much better silence would be than whatever the hell that racket that is. - C850 It uses DDR3 SO-DIMM 1333 Mhz SDRAM. There are two memory slots. Normally you have one module DDR3 RAM 4GB and you need another one the same module. But if you have 2x 2GB modules, you must change them with 2x 4GB.

Hey, I have a broken screen on my Satellite Pro C850 and I need to replace the screen from my C660 would this be possible? Are the connectors compatible with each other? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere and I don't want to break one of the laptops to find out. I'd really appreciate the help! Thanks.
(Also the motherboard on the C660 is fucked but the screen is fine, is there a way I could transfer all the hardware from the C850 into the C660? Or is some of the hardware not compatible?)

Bodhi Sharma No, you can't. For the versions with an additional videocard, the videochip is integrated / soldered to the mother board.

Hey I have the Toshiba satellite l855, this laptop by default has 2 x 4 1600mhz, can I remove one and add a new 8gb 1600mhz stick (to make it 12gb RAM).
Also, can I use Kingston HyperX Impact HX321LS11IB2K2/16 (2x8GB) (it is 2133mhz apparently) will this be compatible with my laptop and can I use 1600mhz RAM and 2133mhz RAM at the same time?

Memory - 1600MHz, max 16GB
You can use together memory modules 2133MHz and 1600MHz, your motherboard would automatically set the higher clocked RAM to 1600.
To avoid compatibility problem buy 1600Mhz RAM.

Yes, you can, but if you have two modules at 1333 and 1600, they will work at 1333

You can upgrade your memory up to 8GB DDR3.
About the purchase. Better look in the local shops, especially for the hard disk. 5-10 percent more expensive, but if one day you need a warranty service...
