  • Postural Restoration is how I fixed my lateral pelvic tilt and my entire body. This video talks about how I integrated Postural Restoration with dentistry and optometry to rebalance my sensory input which allowed my brain to correct my posture and rid me of pain in the process.

    to produce the correct muscular output. To move you forward without compensation.
    When your sensory integration is lacking, you end up in pain.
    Hey there, my name is Neal Hallinan.

    Life changing video - this perfectly puts into words the problems I've been feeling throughout my entire body for the last 4 years but could never identify. Like you I had braces that fixed my teeth/jaw into an assymetrical position, and after they came off in 9th grade, I was hit with chronic injury after injury when I had never so much as twisted an ankle despite playing 3 different sports throughout my childhood. I would sit through classes in high school squirming around in my seat sometimes because I had such visceral feelings of random tension in my back or twisting in my hips. I'm so lucky that I found your channel and others like it so early when I'm only 18, I would have gone crazy wondering what the hell was wrong with me all while being told by any mainstream medical professional that it was all in my head.
    People like you, John/Mike Mew, and Andrew Huberman who bring these life changing ideas to the public for free online are really creating so much positive change in the world by giving people control/knowledge of their bodies back, it really is amazing.

      @@OatsOats good question, because Neal talks a lot and throws a lot of medical jargon & abbreviations around, but there are ZERO actual tips about what to do.

      @@roguewave1060well its impossible to give you just one excersize to do that magically hits everyones imbalances muscles. What you really have to do is really low weight kettle bell hip thrusts but to get to that point you have to achieve a position closer to balanced than before so in my case I have to try really hard to keep my ass pulled tight ensuring my right hip doesnt come up and my left hit doesnt go down through controlling the lower back, same thing with glute bridges etc. For my torso I kinda imagine the lower 2/3 to be abs contracted and back pushing backwards (not straining) and thorassic spine pushed forwards. Also flexing the front of my body while trying to relax and breathe through my back while laying in bed at night really helps too but I have to go reaaaaally slow otherwise I breathe with my abs/front ribs instead.

      Exactly, everyone tells you "it's all in your head". Thank God my stubbornness did its job. I went to see a renowned physiotherapist in my country. He just looked at how I walked into his office and immediately put this diagnose. Wish you luck and I am glas you got this issue resolved. 🙂

      @@OatsOats I've been seeing a postural restoration certified physical therapist in my home state, who uses the same thought process as the PRI in this video. It's helped tremendously and I've regained significant range of motion throughout my body over the last few months. I'm also planning to see an airway-focused orthodontist soon to see if the type of mouthpiece that Neal talks about in this video would further help me.

    I have had flat feet my whole life. Fastest way ive found to solve it is to roller skate!! It is all balance and stabilisation. I feel like my body is getting much smarter. It also forces your body to learn a more regular stride length once you get into street skating.

      @Basketball American id recommend quad skating twice a week… inline skates are fine for beginners, i use both! It’ll take about a month to feel confident on them but its the best decision I’ve ever made. Dont buy skates less than £80 to avoid low quality ones.

    Great video! Good to know that there are people who not only had similar issues as I have, but also they care for the rest so they do videos like this. Four years ago while starting to do pull-ups at the gym my back and neck got immobilized, like a sudden muscle spasm. The first two years it took me to go for a massage but 6 months later I would have the same pain/ache at the left minor rhomboid zone. Lots of doctors saw me and I went through lots of specializations. In the next month I will end my orthodontic treatment and I start the TMJD treatment (with the TMJ splint). Apparently my issue started in the TMJ, for 10 years I've been hearing that clicking sound on my right shoulder and the pull-ups increased the intensity of the asymmetry of my body. I hope my back ache goes away after the TMJ treatment. For people who are in a similar situation, I have right TMJD without pain at the jaw nor facial issues or ringing issues, but I used to have the right shoulder higher than the left shoulder. Also the pelvic compensated that and I used to have head-forward position and cervical rectification. I used to chew gum a lot when I was younger. Currently I have 32 years old and this happened while I was about to be 28.

    Ive been to 4 physiotherapists and a chiropractor in the last year, only one of them, the physio guy had any idea what was going on. He unfortunately passed away and I wasnt able to continue with him. Since then I still havent found anyone able to work properly with my symptoms and this is everything im dealing with, which gives me home. Thank you

    This is the most important video I’ve found on this matter. I never took into consideration my jaw posture. For the duration of my entire life I’ve never noticed how my jaw has been higher on my left side giving me a left hip hike. As soon as I started fixing my jaw posture everything is starting to make so much sense. I grew up wearing braces to fix my crooked teeth and of course how can that help you If you have a crooked jaw. Your explanation has brought me to the right track, finally. I’ve been trying to find a solution for 2-3 months now ever since the problem has become more apparent and worse. My walking was such an issue to the point where I quit my job just to handle this situation. You’ve saved me time and my mind is at more ease. Thank you deeply. Going through this issue yourself and conquering it is truly an inspiration. I was on the path myself, but you’ve given me the little cheat code early. Thank you

      @@samathum4711 wow that comment didn’t age well. So I’m still on my posture restoration journey and I’m undergoing orthodontic treatment to fix my open bite, crowded teeth, and my mandibular deviation. I’m currently on one month. My bite keeps me ungrounded leading to my postural issues. I even see it with braces on; my bottom jaw favors my left side so my right side doesn’t get any teeth contact. It’s actually very interesting, but atm I still have pretty bad back pain and shoulder pain. You need to find an orthodontist who provides a holistic approach; one that takes posture into consideration.

      @@samathum4711at this time I’m going through orthodontic treatment to give myself a functional bite. I found an orthodontist in frisco Texas who provides a holistic approach that focuses on the bite and your posture. I’m currently in 4 months. My results have been very interesting…I no longer rotate my torso to the left and my pelvis to the right. I cannot confirm if the influences on my bite and cranium are benefiting my body, that just seems too good to be true. But we will see. I’m also seeing a PRI therapist in Dallas TX to address my other issues. Good insoles, possibly custom, and maybe vision intervention may be needed in my case.

    WOw! This video was such revealing. I'm 37 with back pain problems since I was 13 or 14. I also had my palate expanded when I was 12 and the center of lower teeth is shifted to the right. I also have tinnitus, loss of both cervical and lumbar lordosis, 3 herniated discs, a visible shifted hip with hip, groin pain and TFL, biceps femoris and piriformis that hurt like a broken rib.     Its crazy how much pain you can generate from this. Ive always told my doctors i feel uneven,but they just ignored it straight up. It has taken me 2 whole years of learning and training my body back to allignment and fix my breathing.
    Now im back to work and can train again without pain. Thanks a lot to guys like you.✌️

      I feel my left quadratus lumborum working hard when I walk, I have left hip/low back pain when I sit in a wrong position, I also feel them a bit in the groin and lateral and posterior hip, is this lateral tilt as well?

      ​@@bloodeagle2945 this is exactly how I feel. I have left hip/ low back pain past 7 years. Been to different doctors. PCP, Rheumatologist, Orthopedic Chiropractor and neuromuscular spine and joint specialist. All confusing diagnosis. Ankylosing Spondylitis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory arthritis, scoliosis, degenerate discs disease lumbar, s.i. joint and simply cannot afford to see another Dr. Orthopedic says I need total hip replacement surgery. Don't have funds. So I am 60 yrs old and still working in warehouse delivery job lifting heavy tires, car batteries, 60-70# cases antifreeze etc. killing my back and hip. Gotta work so can't go without a days pay to wait on disability, So what is a man to do?

    I am incredibly thankful I found your videos. I am a 26-year-old male who has never had braces. I suffered an L5 stress fracture in high school from powerlifting, and ever since I have had severe tightness on my entire left side from my hip to my upper neck. I have never had braces, but due to TMJ on the left side of my jaw, I had a mouth guard made for nighttime to alleviate some of the symptoms. When I am walking throughout the day, I do not feel pain on my right side near my hip, however, if I engage full weight onto my right side, I can experience shooting incredible pain up my spine and down my leg that is completely mind-numbing and this can occur if I am hanging too freely from a pull-up bar as well and then drop to the ground too quickly. I have looked at my mouthguard after watching this video, and I believe that I have the exact opposite of what you have. I feel much more pressure in my right molars, and the left side of my teeth has less space than the right, and the left side of my teeth is caved inwards with the back left molar sticking out to the side. I have a few questions: How effective will this mouth guard be in reducing my tightness of the left side, how much do you think this pain that I can trigger in my right side of my spine has caused my brain to not let my body tend to use my right side, and should I consider palate expansion or surgery near my L5 vertebrae? I am extremely tired of experiencing the severe tightness of the left side, left hip is lower than right, and TMJ.

      In your case mouth guard might be not enough. You need to make your brain feel safe once again by doing exercises. (In case your l5 problem is being fixed permanently) you can check my account. I made a lot of pri videos.

    Years of looking through forums and youtube videos to find whats wrong with my face or assymetry, and I find this gem that explains everything I'm going through perfectly, but in my case its my left molars and left side that's more pronounced, even my left eyesight was better than the right!! at a young age I had a head trauma on the right side of my eyebrow so I guess whatever happened happened, but I'm glad I found a basepoint to start fixing my issues thank you so so much!!

    It’s incredible how accurate you’re explaining my reality. Everything you say I start shaking my head ‘yes’. Pain my entire life (since around 13yo) was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was about 12, had two growth spurts and “spine straightened out” but hips were left out of alignment due to development with a curved spine I believe. Pain everyday, all day, my entire life. Pain as I’m typing this but the ‘shifting’ of weight to left leg and breathing relieves around 80% of all inflammation.
    My pattern looks like yours or worse.

    Also as a constructive criticism, I noticed that you like to repeat on a topic to emphasize it's importance and that can take time and make the videos longer which might stir away some people who don't want to watch long videos on a rather short concept.       @@aymeric9912 first appointment is a lot of examination to learn about what’s going on and testing your range of motion. My range of motion was surprisingly decent and she said I was a “peculiar” case. My ribs were flared on the left side like what’s discussed here on Neal’s channel with the left AIC pattern. I couldn’t do the squat where you keep your heels planted on the ground at all, so I need to work on that. She gave me a couple more exercises to work on where you focus on breathing into certain areas of your body and hamstring stretching exercises.

    Wow... It's so shocking. Last winter, while hiking, my left Crampon broke and came down supporting my right leg. After that, I spent a year working on two monitors in the office, with my upper body leaning to the right. It's hard to put strength on the left hip, and there's a difference in the length of the legs, and the body shape is the same as yours in the video. I went through all kinds of exercises and treatments, and I went to the hospitals, dental clinic and the body shape correction massage shop, but it didn't work. The content of the video is shocking and I think it's a translation of my experience. Thank you.

      Thank you Neal. I really appreciate it. Finding your vids has changed my life and perception of a human body completely. Also, it answered so many of my questions I asked myself in the past. Would you agree that any significant change in the body biomechanics (like a physical trauma, subluxation of a bone in the spine, etc.) can have a negative impact on a smooth energy/vibration/frequency flow in the body? And would there be an energy shift from one place to another? I hope I worded it right. Is there a video where you have talked about it? Sorry, I might have missed it. Many thanks Neal.

    The moment you mention the unequal molar pressures, I instantly became conscious that I was clenching on my right side. I did an experiment and tried doing left side-bends (I was lying on my side) to see if the jaw pressure would shift over, and what happened instead was that BOTH sides just completely relaxed!! This is so cool, I wonder if there is a name for this field of study, like functional neurology or something...just totally mindblowing.

      I restore normal molar occlusion with most clients I have. Once you have a left ZOA, the mandible will shift into a more neutral position (provided no true dental issues)

    OMG this is so accurate. I had orthodontist treatment as a teenager, now in my early fortys: basicly all of the symptoms you mention, sensitive left heel, isciatic-like pain left, sacroiliac joint tension tension, deep breathing feels blocked, slight scoliosis in thoracic spine, shoulder-neck-problems, straight neck position, poor vision on the left eye and latent squint, chewing mostly on the right, jaw shifted to right with closed teeth, right incisor forward, asymetric jawline, cracking jaws, painfully limited neck rotation, constant pain right up in the neck close to scull, feeling of a blocked atlas. 😮🥺😥 what should I do? Willing to go for it. No therapist ever got what I have. Pls help. Thanks for your content.❤

      Twins, triplets. Probably allot of us out there who suffer alone and in pain. Stay strong! If i could point to somewhere to start it would be: Dentist, eye doc, strech upper and lower body. Release hip area, relax your thoughts, be kind to yourself, never mind the noise around you. See a chiro, get your neck pulled back to place. Dont give up! Keep on keeping on!

    I was missing this last step! I have been watching so many other videos on youtube about si joint pain, lateral tilt , posture practices and they all have helped temporarily until i back one wrong move that cause my right side to tighten up again. You are so RIGHT its my mind telling me that I need to protect myself and after watching your video i put some mint cream on my side that gets tight, then I started to tell my self to relax that side , and OMG ive never felt this way in a long time

    This makes so much sense! I grind my teeth so bad and have pelvic tilt. One day I was trying to stretch my hips & move my hip one side separate from the other and it was like my brain couldn't do it not my body but my brain. Thought I was crazy until this video. Thank you.

    First, thank you for everything that you do. You're saving so many people from missing life, including myself. Thank you from every corner of my heart.
    While hands and knees breathing, holding left ZOA, thoracic flexion, and appropriate airflow management, I noticed that I can "sit back" a fair way towards my ankles while maintaining the posture. With and without a towel under my left knee. Do you think this is an effective way to train my neuro connection to the left hamstring/zoa/t flexors, etc? I feel the same things that I'm supposed to during the 90/90 and scissor slides. My only doubt is that it may somewhat remove input from my feet. Your website says to be experimental!

    Thank you very much, it gave me great relief when you said that if the jaw was deviated to the left it was not a big problem and that if I did the left aic pattern exercises I would correct the asymmetries thank you very much. It seems that there are only Americans or English speaking about this because I am Spanish and there are no Spanish channels on this subject.

    Gosh this is fascinating. I've been digging into my own Left AIC pattern issues and the whole eyes/jaw connection makes so much sense. Have you ever tried making clients close one eye when they walk?? It struck me as a curious experiment watching this video and seems to have really curious effects on my gait. For example my sleepy left glut seems to wake up quite a lot when I shut my right eye. Is that a thing, or am I imagining things? (Huge thanks for all your 'left AIC' videos btw. So valuable for me)

    Wow, I knew I had all these issues, didn't know they are all connected. Weirdly enough, by holding my jaw to the other side, I can feel the neck muscles re-adjusting, this is mind-blowing. I'll have to fast track fixing my teeth.

      If you are in the US, I'd highly recommend seeing a PRI therapist before fixing your teeth. You don't want to fix teeth on top of a mispositioned jaw. Most orthodontists to pay attention to this.

      @@NealHallinan damn, I fixed mine in a mispositioned jaw because the orthodontist didn't know about this. Now I have a lateral pelvic tilt, lump and pain while talking on the right side of the throat, click on ear and all my right side of body is on a forward position, as my right feet feel numb sometimes. I started having bruxism and am treating it now. How do I proceed?

    Tried the neck turns and found i had some nerve tension on my left bend. Luckily i was able to pull up my jaw since it was laxed and it was instantly free. But I need to get to my teeth realigned. And now I notice that my right side is more tense whereas the other can completely relax. Thanks for the idea!

    I have been doing the beginner exercises and learning as much as I can.
    My biggest concern now is that I often choke in my sleep. I have always snored but recently it has gotten way worse to the point where I can't breathe and I think I am dying when I jump awake. What you mentioned in this video about a straight neck and the associated problems seems to be exactly what I am struggling with. Any tips on sleep?

      Those are called apneas. Go see a sleep therapist and get a CPAP as soon as possible.

      yep those are apneas most likely due to chronic hyperventilation. Look for buteyko breathing method for a permanent fix.

    You have so many vids with different exercises can i ask you to navigate me?
    I have "right side" overload over last several years, my pelvic is rotated - cant say which side - but right leg is shortened and taking more load, right quad is tight, plus right ribs is rotated back slightly and blocked,so my right diaphragm is not fully working.
    Plus that chronic neck pain because of blocked ribs/diaphragm on right side.
    My jaw is also shifted to the right sidr slightly.
    Which exercises/your vids can you recommend to start with?

    very clever video, to be honest I'm struggling with back pain for the past 8 years and none of my doctors seem to grasp the concept that I need my whole body to be proper, not just a certain part of my spine. its maddening cause I've been told that I have hip problem, lower spine problem, ribcage level vertabre problem, neck problem, but to be honest I had to kinda figure out this on my own where I just anialysed my body when laying down that even my jaw movements can influence muscule tension at hip level. no one tells you this, but it can't be stressed enough that your body is a structure, STRUCTURE, with top middle and low, you would not fix a building just by moving the 3rd floor to the right cause the rest would collapse, I think similarly, you have to look at the hole body, not just parts, cause working on parts will jsut give you problems to the other parts of your body

    This stuff works . 100% . I tried just bout everything . I've been doing these 4 exercises for 3 weeks and the brutal hip / low back pain has pretty much stopped. I operate hvy machines 12 hrs a day . Was complete misery for last 15 yrs hah . My right glute fires every step left oblique working hammy abductor. It's great , am sleeping a lot better as well. Depression is lifting . 8 / 10 pain for 15 yrs had me fucked . Then the blow outs ... chiros massages asteopath MRI . FML . I wish I found this guy yrs ago . Anyway man shits a life saver . Going to keep doing exercises twice a day 3 sets for 5 more weeks . Thank you.

      @@masonmalaguti3463 yeah, had it awhile back but started slowly lifting weights again then started getting quite a bit of pain in neck and scapula area's , chest tightened up low back arched so wasn't breathing properly. Seems to have gotten better since I stopped . Don't think I was ready for it hah .

Just now at 37 addressing this issue with aligners and dentists all around and doctors seem oblivious to this connection or just choose to not accept it is the root cause.     I have distributed nearly all my weight to my left foot for years. My right foot is turned out more than my left, but all the weight is on the left side. I am very much left-dominant, not right-dominant. This applies to gym movements etc. as well.

      @@NealHallinan But I think you should qualify that is the strict PRI viewpoint, based on the observation of relative diaphram sizes. But the diaphram is only smaller because of sharing space with other visceral organs....limb lengths are still a major factor in walking ergonomics, and limbs are still generally symmetrical

    Hi Neal, maybe you can give some advice and let me know if I'm left dominant or other? It also looks like my right shoulder is hiked up and higher than my left. My back side left upper back lies flat but the right side its kind of rounding towards my head, like rounded shoulders. I have weakness in my right arm and my thigh and hamstring and all those areas are super tight. My left side not tight at all. it looks like my right hip is hiked up as well and it's like I always want to put my weight on my left leg for stabilization and then my right hip then is higher than the left.It seems like my waist area rotates to the left and a little difficult to go the right. Can you please give me some advice on this.. thanks!

    Thank you for your Video. Just getting started with pri Restoration. While gun shooting my left eye is dominant and I feel my left molars biting down harder. This confuses me. But I think in general I have a left AIC pattern. Also a right TMCC (I can rotate my Head better to right and tilt better to the left). Any idea? Thank you. Great Videos!

      Judging by the sound of your display name, you may need to start with some shoes that have an arch... I threw myself off wearing just flat skate kicks for years. Just a tip from my journey.

    Some days I feel like I'm losing my mind being unable to escape from these painful and tiring signals that my body wont stop sending (hips, front of neck, shoulders wrists, back, sciatica, eyes ). I had pectus surgery as a kid but to this day (im 33), I've yet to achieve a neutral spine. I stretch daily and am in decent shape. One day I really pushed myself to almost passing out in exercise and as I lay on the floor breathing, my body felt so euphorically good, and I've never achieved that level of body good feeling again. It was like two whole minutes in heaven of my spine being in alignment. Then I got up off the floor and went back to real life. I never been able to achieve that state again and constantly battle with my spine and hips for hours a day. I watch videos and do exercises and mediations for this stuff and try to fully experience every joint and muscle fiber to build my mind muscle connection. It's been years and I'm at the end of my rope, the last time I talked to my ortho about this, they were talking about surgery as my last option and fusing my lower spinal vertebre, which would just be treating a symptom and put me out of commission for a long time.
    It's kinda like I'm never able to experience my whole body at once. My daily evolution at this point is a shifting of positions into whatever is least painful, unless I'm able to get so focused on something else until my body inevitably reminds me that some nerves are turning off. I wake up in the bear trap every mornign and slowly pull myself out of it and loosen up, only to find myself in the same trap the next morning.
    I have no clue what to do anymore, and feel completely out of control of my own body even as I continue to develop physical skills, coping mechanisms, and a deeper mind muscle connection. Reading these comments at least makes me feel less alone with this issue, as none of my friends family or doctors really seem to get what is wrong with me, and talking to people about it just makes you the 'sick' person. It's a really dysfunctional way to live mentally and physically. If you can relate and have had success with something similar or any insights to share please do share for me and everyone else who is desperately reading these comments for help.
    And thanks a lot to Neal H for his hard work and dedication to helping people with these problems. This is a really life ruining problem so I'm sure he's helped a lot of people with this information

    What's your plan for expanding the right palate symmetrically now (or expanding the right more)? Once you take the splint out, won't you immediately go back to the right torsion pattern and end up expanding the left side more just like how you mentioned in childhood?
    Also, do you know if the right TMCC people would need left palatal expansion to get out of their pattern completely?

      You are very perceptive. Great question. I would wear the splint during expansion. Most Right TMCC people don’t need any dental intervention.

      @@saadimadina1337 That is not accurate information. It's simply not as easy, meaning you won't get as much expansion as you would if you were younger. I know many adults who are doing expansion right now. If cranial/facial bones didn't move, my face wouldn't have become more symmetrical.

That’s bad for the neck curve you talked about right? Why could it be that people report better sleep on the floor? I’m aways curious about that. And do you have any videos on the jaw shifted to the left?

      I don't know if it would be bad for the curve or not. If you sleep better, your brain must like it. A jaw shifted to the left is just the RTMCC pattern.

      I completed tmj splint therapy 1 ago. After repeat imaging, the consensus of my dentist and an oral surgeon that the joint is now hypermobile bilaterally. My condyles now make contact with my skull. It's a nasty noise. The disk is alright though. I'm interested to hear about your experience. Braces are my next step too. Both practitioners are optimistic about my recovery.

    I’m 22 years old and have been battling what I thought was an enigma, and something no chiro or physical therapist has been able to alleviate. After really listening to my body and making the most conscious effort to unwind my muscles, I am almost at the finish line. Then to top it off I finally found you, the first person to ever explain exactly what I am experiencing. My only question is I have reversed this before not even knowing what it is, and it ended up coming back- so how do I keep it away for good?

      Same man gave me and ocd like level of body awareness, started studying anatomy just so I could better assess myself objectively. I knew there was some sort of twist/rotation yet all the places I'd go to would have no idea even they seemed confused then I started to feel like I was crazy or something went to get checked for scoliosis nothing. I was just about to accept it till I did some more research and ended up here. Curious do you know what you did to reverse it?

      That ocd level of body awareness is a blessing and a curse. I realized toward the end that I would analyze it too much, and think that I can feel exactly what I thought would be the issues. Breathing only thru my nose, with his book recommendation of “the oxygen advantage” along with the body awareness has gotten me basically out of the poor positions. For me I really developed bad habits of slouching more to one side and I’d over analyze everything from sitting to walking to laying down. Running helped me conquer this too, along with exercise that is quick and intense which would allow me to move sub consciously and not with so much conscious effort. Stretch hamstrings and stretch by folding at the hips while breathing calm and slowly.

    Legs one longer then the other.
    It’s a nightmare I endured. Thanks for sharing this information. I haven’t known what to do.
    I was a high school athlete then my life fell apart.

    Bit of a long shot. I'm not sure if you read the comments still but... I have a convex-left 10-15 degree curve in the high thoracic spine, kind between the scapulas. I also have a lower right shoulder and the pelvis is higher on the right side. My right leg seems to "tilt under" the pelvis, kind of scissoring in a bit over midline. The left leg seems to be fine but the muscles above (obliques, psoas maybe, etc.) seem much tighter on the left. The right core muscles I can barely get to activate. A fair bit of what you're saying seems to correlate to my issue, but it seems like some things don't. Would you have any suggestions or tweaks that I should use when employing the knowledge from this video? I'm pretty desperate to get some of this corrected. Thanks so much in advance!!!

    Hey, I am currently trying to watch all of your videos about the patterns. My little”problem” is, that I love going to the gym. I am currently trying to include as much PRI exercises as possible into my program but there are still compound movements like Dumbell bench pressing where it’s not possible to get my left Z O A. What would you recommend? For me it’s impossible to stop doing my normal activities in the gym and only focus on PRI exercises but would you say that it’s pointless then?

      I made a video about dumbbell flys, and how to keep rotation in your torso while you do them. You don't need to maintain a ZOA 24/7. You just want to have it when you leave the gym and go on about your daily life.

    Hey Neal, I have a question about the left sidebending strain. Do you know any cases of someone who got their cranial bones back to neutral from a left sidebend with PRI exercices, foot orthotics, vision therapy and without doing anything extensive like orthodontics/surgery? If a crossbite is present, is it impossible to get out of the strain? I have a crossbite on the left molar but I don't favor it. I think I have a pattern that is literally the opposite of yours (my left palatal line is more forward than my right palatal line)
    Also, how can I tell a left sidebend strain from a left torsion?

      Yes, in general left sidebends are easy to resolve because it’s really just the right TMCC pattern with a little more visible facial asymmetry.
      The difference between the two would probably be the position of the sphenoid. I’m not an expert on that however.

      I've done virtually every PRI technique that exists. All the techniques are trying to accomplish the same things, just in different positions and different levels of difficulty. Unfortunately I can't answer your question because we are all individuals with different challenges. You can't treat a Patho PEC client/patient the same as you would a simple Left AIC patterned individual. They are world's apart. What would work for a Left AIC patterned individual could end up hurting a patho PEC. That's why I can only talk about PRI concepts and encourage people to seek help from a professional

    Wow I have all this , raises hip to the left right nipple is higher than left one , constant tight lower left side of back , flat feet , on even jaw , snaggle tooth on left k9 constant neck/trap tightness , left hip joint pain but less mobility on my right , I’m only 22 and fit and very active thought I was alone in this had no idea all this was connected

    this is the first channel that comes close to explaining my OCD level body awareness and how i have been healing my injuries... this is ground breaking stuff man... and i think it's all 100% correct.. just one thing I think is important to remember - we were not designed to walk around straight like pencils... we're designed to move around more like MMA fighters do... with our knees bent... and with one foot in front of another... we're not suppose to be perfectly balanced... many people have one longer leg... or a longer arm.. or what not... but, by standing more with our knees bent.. legs shoulder width... and using our feet arches, heels barely kissing the floor and bent knees - this is how humans have walked around for thousands of years... in the wilderness... stalking prey... or exploring through nature... our bodies are still geared more towards physical activity - than sitting around all day - we're designed to move around over rocks.. sand... forests... up and down hills..
    we are going through a painful evolution as our bodies evolve and adapt to... terrible shoes, beds, chairs, clothes, thoughts, activities, behaviors... and pretty much everything in our modern world...
    kudos to you man.. you're going to help take healing to a new level of awareness that many of us are already secretly doing because no one would ever understand the things we are experiencing - APE

    Hey Neil! How long did it take for you to start noticing your cranium reshaping? I got a MOOO from Torin Berge in Lincoln 6 months ago. I am finally pain-free but have not noticed any cranium reshaping. I have the exact same cranium structure as you once did.

      I'm not sure everyone's cranium will reshape. I had no clue that it would occur. No pain is the biggest benefit.

    Have you seen anyone with the condition “hemiparesis”, I have it and it’s contributed to all the postural differences in my body, I’m unable to contract or flex my entire right side as strong as my left so it creates muscle imbalances. You kind of alluded to it in the video about it being in the brain, what do you think are the steps I should take?

    I was curious as I have right side contact of my jaw more than my left. I can flex my right masseter much easier but it takes more mind muscle control for my left. Also my right eye is terrible for distance and only can see good up close. My left eye is basically perfect in both up close and long distance. Any thoughts?

      Well, our visual system can become patterned when our body is too patterned. Our right eye is used more for closer/periphery and our left eye becomes more dominant for distance. Once you get the left side of your body and left peripheral vision more involved, that could change.

    Hi Neal, I have something similar .What I have is tight right SCM , tight right rhomboid and right low back , tight right glute and tinnitus on my left ear ..Is this the same issue that you're describing?? And what should I do exactly to fix it??
    There is no PRI specialist in my country...please advise.

    Curious can a deviated septum that aims the nose towards the right also affects breathing contribute to this. Baseball injury happened when I was young never got it fixed, honestly never I knew I had it as I think I was already right sided adapted, but now I can't unsee it. Found out when I got covid and they tried to put something up my nose and the nurse was having trouble and told me I had a deviated septum

    Is lateral pelvic tilt the same as a rotated pelvis? My right side hip is higher and it rotates to the left and is more anterior than the left.

    Could a right foot with overpronation due to MANY years of wearing terrible haviana sandals push my body to be stuck in the left AIC pattern? I have the overpronated foot, APT, lateral tilt, SI joint issues, lumbar lordosis, mild scoliosis, and loss off cervical neck, and trouble breathing. when I watched your video to put a towel under arch of right foot, it certainly felt different but I don't know or can't explain how. but the tension in my pelvic region eased up a bit.

      I doubt the Havianas caused the overpronation of the right foot. The overpronation is a visible sign of dysfunction elsewhere in the body. It can happen with or without appropriate footwear. Ironically enough, when I had plantar fasciitis in both feet for 4 years, the only footwear I could tolerate were Havianas.

      I get lots of inquires from Australia. Unfortunately, PRI is so unique that it's very difficult to find other disciplines that recognize the same issues. So I don't really know.

    Hey! So I have chronic left iliac crest pain and pain on the left side of my body (side ribs) and right shoulder pain. SI joint pain and pain down my front left thigh with muscle stiffness after sitting.
    The left side of my pelvis is apparently hiked upward.
    Just read some of your articles - they’re really helpful.
    Does this mean if my pelvic tilt is higher in the left that I do exercises on my right? Just trying to get my head round it all.
    Also - I have right shoulder / trap pain. Wondering if this is to do with my diaphragm / left side ribcage pain?

      Hello. Left hiked pelvis can be still within the realms of left AIC pattern. It does not mean you have to do exercises in revers, but it means that a different protocol is needed to by apply.
