Never Forget!
As an 18-year-old boy (45 years ago) and ink barely dry on my driver's license, I drove from Arkansas to St George, Utah! BUT, at about 10pm (pitch dark) I ran out of gas on Hwy 98 out of Paige, AZ with absolutely NOTHING within sight! So I crawled in the backseat of my jalopy and sang along with my 8-track and waited for morning. Only a few minutes passed and a trucker came along and stopped. He was nice enough to drive into Big Water and send a fellow out with some gas to get me up and running again. Viola....on the road again, I enter Zions Canyon about midnight! White-knuckling the switchbacks (that I had never seen in my life before, let alone the daylight) I drove Hwy 9 to St George. Arriving about 3 am! Ah, aren't memories great!!

What a phenomenal trip. Always good to see the girls. They’ve grown into lovely young ladies. That chopper ride was extremely special to surprise them with and it showed in their pretty ear to ear smiles. That shot of Chad and them looking over the butte was perfect. And, Tara, the one of you looking out over the landscape at the end also is worthy of a nice frame. Such beautiful country. Like you said, no words to express such a gift. Enjoy your time together. Pictures just don't cover how beautiful Zion is, around every bend and over every cliff is just wow! Absolutely love the nighttime sky views , you can almost touch the stars! Outstanding Tara, Chad! the girls will have these memories 4ever! And to see it from the air....... priceless!

Such fun memories you're creating for your girls Chad !!! and Tara you're a great Step-Mom, I know how challenging it can be at times (my wife is a Step-Mom to my three older boys), and I'm a Step-Dad to my youngest son, who turned 29 in July. We now help create family memories that include 4 grandkids.
It's been several years since I was last in Zion's, but I have MANY FOND MEMORIES of my time spent there... Especially walking the entire length of the "Mountain Tunnel" using a "Glow-in-the-dark" frisbee as our guide (for new readers, see my comments at the bottom of their "Zion's Motorcycle Ride" video). ONCE AGAIN CHAD AND TARA... ANOTHER AWESOME VIDEO !!!!!

I absolutely love helicopter rides. So far I’ve taken helicopter tours of the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Mt Rushmore and the Vegas Skyline at sunset. Zion is definitely on the bucket list!

I was on those exact trails in April, it was such an amazing adventure. We have bought us a new dually and waiting for the camper to be finished in mid October and will head back there soon. Thanks guys!!! I hope to meet you both on our journey on the open road.

I can relate to your helicopter ride near Zion. Many years ago when my wife and I owned an airplane, we flew into Bryce Canyon Airport for a couple of days before going to Page AZ for a fly-in. A friend with us caught a picture of our bird with Bryce in the background (had to stay outside of the park boundary due to flight restrictions). It was stunningly beautiful to see it from the air.
