I am from the Island of Sulawesi, it's on the central part of Indonesia . and before Islam came in we were animism instead of hinduism or buddhism , that's why in Sulawesi there's no such thing as hinduism or buddhism ancient temple . And sulawesi is the 3rd most populous island in Indonesia after Java and Sumatra where around 80% Indonesian live

Agama ini menganut ajaran monoteisme syanghiyang widi atau tuhan yang tidak ada bandingan nya tidak berupa tidak beranak berdiri sendiri .dan jelas lah kenapa di sunda tidak ada patung atau arca hindu budha karna orang sunda bukan penganut hindu atau budha melainkan wiwitan atau buhun itu adalah agama nene moyang kami .alasan kenapa orang sunda gampang menerima ajaran islam di banding ajaran agama lain sebab ada kesamaan antara agama islam dan agama sunda yaitu monoteisme seperti hal nya yahudi yahudi juga ajaran nya monoteisme atau ajaran abraham . Itulah alasan kenapa orang suku sunda asli menerima islam di banding ajaran agama lain .faham anda

The majority of the Christian population in Indonesia is in the eastern islands. Where local beliefs were dominant instead of Islamic, Buddhist, or Hindu beliefs. In the Muslim majority Java and Sumatra islands Christianity didn’t really take hold. These two islands in the west are where the majority of Indonesia’s population lives.

I get you are not really correct. I'm Indonesian btw. I live in Medan, North Sumatra Province. In my province, we have the biggest non muslim population. But, Islam still majority.

Well, actually the Dutch didn't spread Christianity, the Portuguese did (Catholic). St. Fransiscus Xaverius came to Ternate and spread Catholicism. He already left when the Dutch came. But some of the Portuguese priests still stay. After The Dutch arrives, people that were Catholic were forced to convert to Protestant.
FYI: Javanese nobles had good relationships with Dutch..

Indonesian population is 278 milion. And each of our people has kids at least 3. So yeah... I dont like too many people like Indian. Also, many Indonesian muslim live overseas.
