My biggest nemesis... the Par 3 hole. So true about saving strokes on Par 3's but that's assuming we're good enough to even hit the greens in reg!!
Well if not, it’s important to miss the big hazards like water hazards or strategically placed bunkers !

For me, a par 3 is my best scoring opportunity. I am a bogey golfer, and a short hitter. If I hit a green, a two putt gets me a par. If I am within 5-10 feet of the green, up and down is a par, or a chip and two putts is a bogey. The only thing that can cause a blow up hole is basically water, which is usually in front of the green. No deceleration allowed, so I hit a middle or short iron "crisply." My tough holes are long par 4's that I often don't make in regulation. If I miss a fairway one time on the way to that long par 4, I easily can make a double bogey. I love your course management tips.

I like your new outfit and agree with you, short game very important in golf, many people concentrate in driver shots but forget about chipping ang putting, this is a biggest mistake of amateur golfers.

Yeah Im trying to focus on Par 3's at mine. Unfortunately, one of them is 215 yards, another is 222 yards. Very tough to reach in one
If you're someone above 10 HC, THE MOST IMPORTANT thing to master is SHORT GAME! shot around green and putting. You will missed the green alot and up and down in your saver.

One of my favorite things to do with par 3s is to tee it up high. I've never sky'ed an iron shot on a part three but I've topped and chunked plenty when the ball is teed up low.
I assume your attack angle isn’t too steep then!

@@GenevieveLingGolf My swing is actually very steep! My 5 iron typically rolls out about 12 to 24 inches. I guess everyone has a very complex or mixed up golf game haha.
I just played a qualifier. Shot 84 and averaged 5 on the par 3's😆😆😆 . Missed the cut by 5 strokes. BRUTAL! I need to take two weeks off and quit!

@@GenevieveLingGolf 2nd hole 191 into the wind. Left the tee shot short into the bunker. Bogey. 5th hole 175 water left and right. Pulled it so far left I actually went over the water into a fairway. Then put that into the water haha. Triple. The two on the back nine were both 190 into a fierce wind. I took what I thought was a 205 club and proceeded to airmail both greens. These were probably two of my best swings of the day too haha. Made double from both spots. In fairness, the par 3's were the toughest thing about this course, but still...yikes.
