    THURLESTONE GOLF CLUB PREVIEW
Thurlestone Golf Club is situated on the beautiful south Devon coast in England and as Peter Allis once said in the Pebble Beach of the South West of England. I am going a step further to say that it is very much the Pebble beach of the UK.
In 2019 I was lucky enough to be apart of a FootJoy trip where we travelled from the West coast of the USA to the East coast starting at Pebble Beach and finishing at Bethpage Black in New York.
Having played at Pebble Beach I could see a great deal of Thurlestone Golf Club in it and have not see anything like it in the UK.
Thurlestone Golf Club has lots of history and attracts many people from all walks of life to its wonderful fairways. In this video I will be sharing with you my experiences of the venue along with meeting the General Manager (Simon Bawden) the Head Professional (Steve White) and member (Alan Robertson).
If you would like to visit Thurlestone Golf Club please see the link below for details:

Okay. So I have been a subscriber of yours since you left Mark's Channel, still subscribe to Mark's, James Robinson, Bryan Bros, Shiels Finch and have subscribed to all them for years.... all that to say I have watched a LOT of CZcams golf, like A LOT..... Not a slight towards anyone else but this video right here is my favorite CZcams golf video I have ever witnessed. The amount of time and effort that went into respecting another golf course is a testament to you, your love for golf and growing the game. Well done sir

That whole area is fabulous, when I lived in the UK, Exeter, I would spend weekends at Hope Cove, a kilometre east, camping. I didn’t play golf then, but walked the cliff path and sat on the beaches; it is a wonderful place for all. But Dan don’t tell anyone, or everyone will go there...😉

The camera shots of the location are stunning, you have the good judgement to let the camera take in the natural beauty of the landscape and not clutter up the shot with unnecessary features. Beautiful. When you think about it it’s surprisingly more golf clubs don’t have grass tennis courts. Another superb video Dan, really am enjoying what your producing for CZcams. Keep it up 👏👏👏.
Just one question, it's a topic maybe you and Lester may choose to debate. I use two different golf balls, the SrixonAD333 and the Titleist DT Trusoft. They both seem to work well for me.
Do you think I should stick to just the one type of ball, or do you believe its good to chop and change golf balls.
I mean it's a vital part of the game we all love, so using the correct ball should be a large part of what we decide I suppose.
I'm a 24 Handicap and have tried a variety of different balls from various manufacturers, yet these two balls seem to work for me.
    Just thought I would ask.
    Best wishes guys.

While it looks a stunning place to play and will definitely be considered for outings in the future, calling it the UK's Pebble beach I reckon is a kick in Nefyn and District's teeth. The coast line in North Wales and that course hugging the coast deserves that title. This can be England's Pebble tho.

Sadly the Nefyn peninsular holes are ruined by public access through the course, which now makes them too dangerous to play, IMHO. However, the other parts of Nefyn are almost as good, so it's well worth a visit. The most dramatic course I've ever played is Old Head of Kinsale. Very pricey to get on to but worth every penny of it. Just don't go when the weather is bad.
