Top vid. Everything was built to rust prior to 1980's. Manufacturers didn't give a toss and owners put up with it. As a kid in the 70's I remember my Dad filling and spraying all of his cars due to rust. Repeatedly. Rust holes within 5 years weren't unusual. One British Leyland dealer told me MG’s etc were delivered new with surface rust on seams and gutters. Respect to anyone keeping them on the road now!!

This content was fantastic. I have never seen cars in such a state of decay. It is beautiful in a sad way. These are no longer vehicles in any way. They would simply disintegrate if they were moved. I loved the moment of silence you held for the 1920's vehicle, it was just an instinctive thing to be done by you both. Your eye for the small details just adds to the entire experience.

Hi from Sydney , Australia , your 1920's car was a little 4 cylinder Morris, the rusted out car in beige was a late '50's Standard ( made by Standard Motor corporation that made Triumphs & Vanguards , Standard was their base level product , bigger than an Austin A30 but not as large as a Morris Minor) , the silver , square boot/rear ended car you thought to be American until you saw it was RHD was a late 60's "Mustang inspired" (or so the car brochures stated) type 4 Zephyr , or Zodiac borne out by its big flat bonnet. What amazes me is the massive rust outs of all the cars at this site , most are so rotted they are collapsing in on themselves. With the basic dryness in Australia it would take near 100 years to see a car rust that much . If you go to a big old breakers yard over here 1950's cars just look a bit unloved , unwashed & shabby , but you just never see this amount of rust unless they are in or right near salt water , e.g. a car pushed over a cliff & on rocks near the ocean . Interesting footage to watch in each of your films.

The American style car was a mk 5 Vauxhall Victor, and the white car disappearing into the earth was either a Vauxhall Victor mk 4( coke a cola bottle), or a Vauxhall Cresta mk 4. Funny how the Nova is only a few years younger than the Vauxhall mk 5. I hear Russian mild steel might have bee the cause of such rapid decay amongst earlier vauxhall's. Great vlog, I've been following you guy's for a few years now, keep it up. Mother nature is amazing.
