- Today we're going to show you two new bezels that you can use to modify and customize your 2nd Generation Orient Mako and Ray. There's a sub-style and a coin edge. Both of these pop right onto your Mako or Ray and then you can use our Seiko SKX007/009 ceramic inserts.

Bought a coin edge bezel and a batman ceramic lumed insert for my new Blue Orient Mako II. I can't describe how amazing the watch looks. LOL, I'm absolutely obsessed with this watch and mod. Thanks Mark and Long Island Watch!!!
I put the coin edge variant on my mako 2 with a blue ceramic insert that I already had and it's like I have a whole new watch! Awesome and easy mod. And, yes, sloped inserts work fine.
Something about the batman style bezel gets me everytime, it just speaks to me. I am saving for the bezel and insert for the kamasu. thank you for offering it on your store, you are the only one that has the thing.
Bought my moded SKX007 in February from you. It gets most wrist time from my modest 7 watch collection. Had one guy I work with ask me if it was a Rolex. I should have just said yes as when I tried to explain it was a moded Seiko I may as well been speaking a foreign language. Lol 😆

Lol I had a Ray 2 on with a Strapcode Oyster and got asked if it was a Rolex the other day haha. Assume he seen the sweeping seconds hands and thought Rolex like most none watch people would.
This is absolutely awesome. I think the curve down on the bezel and the flat metal printing were one of the features I disliked the most on my ray 2. I'm gonna go for it and try my hand at my first mod thanks to you Marc. If it turns out as well as I'm hoping I might even buy the bracelet you just made, too.
I just upgraded my Mako II with a flat sapphire crystal and a coin edge bezel both from Long Island Watch. They were delivered quickly, were a breeze to install and are beautiful and high quality! (I ended up going with a dark blue sapphire “planet ocean” style bezel insert from another company.) My mods are now worth more than my watch, but I’m very happy with it!

Well i just bought a double dome sapphire from CT for my Ray II and was planning on upgrading the bezel/insert at some point with Yobokies parts, but i'll def be going with Long Island Watch now! Great timing and awesome stuff!

Awesome mod Marc! That’s my one gripe with the Mako is the bezel is awe full I would say almost impossible to use diving.
Very great video, Marc. Thank You very much, As you know I am fan of ORIENT watches. My collection will have to follow You somehow and rather soon. What you suggest as "customization" is gorgeous. Can we imagine that an ORIENT watch has most of the time an in-house movement which works perfectly well in the toughest conditions. For instance in the Tropics. Watch brands with self-made movements are just a bunch of Happy Few nowadays. I have seen here in Thailand some people working hard in tough "physical" jobs wearing for the past and more to their entire satisfaction with, maybe 1 or 2 services by a second class "street's butcher watchmaker" in a decade's time [when hands stopped...]. After a minimum Service staring all over again. To have a in-house designed and tested movement with proven achievements is something most brands are dreaming of. Enhanced with "Strapcode bracelet", sapphire crystal glass and then what you have suggested us today is one of the most underrated proposal in the watchmaking industry. We have to thank you for that. You deserve to sell them now like "hot cakes".

Just bought an orange Ray 2 from eBay. Having a metal colour bezel insert with black dots and numbers would be cool, like the ones in the Seiko Monsters.
I've been searching for a bezel for the Mako 2 for a while, because I like the flat style. My only issue is that the bezel insert blue does not match the blue from the Orient dial and it throws off the look. The black looks killer. Any chance of getting the bezel inserts (including the pepsi) to have a matching blue color?

I have the same double dome on my ray2 but love the slope/curve of the original bezel and insert. Will i lose this slope with a flat insert? I guess so
Just ordered the lumed ceramic Batman bezel insert for my 007 from long island. Will be here Monday and I can't wait . Also in the future could we try to get a Coke bezel insert and maybe the 24hr GMT insert. Great video and I am a repeat customer. Without a doubt the best place to order watches from.

I modded an SKX bezel to work on my Mako, but it's very hard to turn. Nice to see someone step up and sell some proper mod parts for the Mako/Ray line. Are you able to get other parts for them? Specifially dials? Even OEM parts would be a huge boon to the Orient aftermarket.
I'm not doing any dials yet. I take baby steps :)

Hey, i just purchased a ceramic bezel insert and your custom sub style bezels. Since the adhesive ring will set the insert higher than the crystal, you recommended an epoxy correct? Do you have a brand or type you recommend?
Would you consider manufacturing symmetrical dials, without the cutouts for day and date? I'd love a factory option without those complications, but I don't see it happening.

Very nice and tastefully done. However, this poses other questions. Could you make the Blue darker and red brighter for the pepsi bezel ? And which would look better on a mako 2, Sub style or coin edge ?
When I watched this video I wanted the blue to be darker too. I did take the risk and ordered the coin edge with pepsi bezel and I have to say that it looks very nice. The blue matches the bright blue of the sunburst. I'm way more happy with this watch now. My only problem still is the tight turn of the bezel.

I have an Orient M Force Beast and the numeral paint is falling off the bezel...do you have replacement rings that will fit this watch?

I want to mod my orient ray bezel to your ceramics but i have notice that the ray has some kind of curvature that gives ita better look that the skx ones, is it difficult to create it that way? i hope you upgrade it with the curvature

Just ordered a coin edge with Pepsi insert, I would love a Black PVD coin edge for my PVD Ray but I guess there would not be enough demand to make it worthwhile making a PVD Coin edge? Also love what you do and really appreciate the great video's you make. I very much hope the UK strikes a trade deal with the US so I can buy without import duties as the duty often takes the competitive price point off many items I would like to buy :(

Hi there, I just bought a Orient Blue Ray 2 based on your videos, that said sadly the bezel wont centre on 12, i'm not sure if its a dial or even misaligned chapter ring but it is sad, besides that its a beautiful watch

You should sell the bezel and ceramic inserts as a package deal with the two parts fitted together, or at a reduced cost.

Hey Mark, Is there a ceramic bezel and coin edged insert for Kamasu？Since it already has a sapphire crystal I don’t have to change the crystal and it would be more easier and safer.
I would love to hear (if and when you test it) whether these will fit on earlier generations. I have the gen 1 Mako USA, and this might be a fun way to give it a little facelift.

The chances of the bezel fitting a watch other than Orient is slim.
I managed to polish the cutouts on my Mako bezel, but the SKX inserts does not fit, they are still about 1mm larger in diameter. Will wait to see more photos of the sub-style bezel, I’m afraid it will tall-up 😀 the watch sides too much. Hope to see more photos from different angles
Will this bezels work with the new Kamasu Diver? It's nice looking watch, but I really hate the bezel insert with those tooth marks.

Will we see Your Watch Your Way without sapphire glass replacement as mandatory? I understand that means no changes beneath the dial but I'd love to just buy a Ray II or a SKX009 with a GMT bezel and different bracelet out of the box while keeping the 200m water resistance.
I'm working on something to offer that. Just so convoluted with all the options and pricing. I want to do it right.
