It's not crazy, it's ingenious.......You did it again Clay. Now just don't drop the tiny injector O Rings on the floor.

Luckily there wasn't much of that. But I certainly lost my tool all the time 😂😂 it blends in with everything around the shop.

8:15 this is exactly what happened to me. 1/2 4140 steel plate would bend, and also I just went to m14 bolts for the standoffs and also the part that pulls the injector because 3/8 bolts were stripping and snapping. The coupling is just bored straight through with m14 tap so it threads onto the injector and the m14 bolt can thread on as well. Your DIY injector puller is exactly what mine was, except my standoffs sat on the torx bolts right beside each injector. Its the same measurement on both cylinder heads. The standoffs were bored and recessed a little to go over the head of the torx bolt and all the pressure went into the cylinder head. My injectors had black death, but two of them had seized with water damage. The water damage were the most difficult, took me two weeks to get all the injectors out. The worst one is in the back under the brake booster haha. I also tried twisting the injectors, but even with 2ft wrench on the injector hold down slot it still wouldn't even budge. BTW nice job getting them out, I almost gave up on them. Ive done so much work to my sprinter and my injectors were the hardest thing throughout the whole rebuild.

Thanks yeah I thought it was fairly and Genius and I just had to use it the other day so it definitely works in every location really well I’m actually gonna start producing them pretty soon with a kit Oh,
I gotta even sicker invention coming out next week for Sprinter’s…. Stripped off, injector, holddown bolt repair without removing the head or drilling and tapping… and Hili coiling!!! Not that they would hold anyways for very long, but the bolt that I designed will work forever without really any work should make me a couple dollars here in there because these videos don’t pay Crap 💩. Anyways welcome to the channel. Happy to have you. Glad you got it figured out and were able to fix it to.!!!!

Love your videos! Im trying to find out about injector o ring replacement on a 2012 GMC Terrain 2.4l. What happened was one of the seals bit the dust and was leaking a ridiculous amount of gas externally. Found a torn ring/seal on removal. When I tried to replace the seal ai figured out after a lot of frustration that you have to have a special tool to get new ones on the injectors. I'll be getting the tool in a cpl days, had to order it. I'm doing all the recommended cleaning and replacement of manifold gaskets/cleaning pcv while preparing for reinstallation but I came across a procedure that said the cylinder head must be removed.
My question is this: Is it really necessary to remove the cylinder head during this job? The rail/injectors were removed easily without much effort. I can't figure out why anyone would say that. What do you think,?

Great video, also watched your side door video for this particular model too, always enjoy the commentating and editing. Anyway, I've got a OM646 or OM651 CDI, it's the 2.1L, it's only got 4 injectors but like you, the last 2 aren't accessible with a slide hammer. Everything under the rocker cover was caked in Black Death (crystalised leaking diesel), I removed one of the injectors closer to the front of the vehicle but I'll need these leverage tools you spoke about in the video, I took a look in the description for them but couldn't find the tools. Did you guys manage to get round to fabricating any yet?
    Many thanks

hello, can you tell me if there is a mechanical transmission that can be installed in a 2010 ltz traverse? ...I wouldn't mind losing the 4x4 as long as it can be driven (I live in flint)...it was already slipping with black oil like a hole, I changed the oil and lost reverse, and to top it off now it also moves in neutral... no rust, perfect paint, new tires and very good interior the engine runs perfect, it would be a shame to throw it away (even if it is lol)

@@sharpcarco If you have a solution with a mechanical gearbox for models as disastrous from those years as the Acadia and Traverse, believe me, it will hit the nail on the head... many of us will go for the change to a mechanical transmission and not have to throw away the vehicle than otherwise , it's relatively good.

You probably could use the Chevy trailblazer drive line. They may have made one with the 53 in the SS. I would have to guess that’s probably the same.
