- An encouraging day we needed. We're helping friends, getting animals back on track, checking sauerkraut, and I'm keeping my word to my kids.

It would be awesome if every child could be raised in such a loving healthy family.
Art I can already see the difference in your behavior having the stress of your nursing work off your plate!I think it was a good choice because us viewers will enjoy your possible everyday videos especially house renovations ❣❤
I'm rooting for them too. I am not one to watch ads, however, I watched every one on this video. My tiny contribution to a wonderful family.
I was thinking how creative Art’s videos are! I’m just so happy for them.
Heather Oester agree and refreshing to see the freedom!
Bri smiles a lot when she cooks.
2nd. That pitchfork trick cracked me up, so funny. Awesome day.
The videos are reflecting the daytime editing and the loss of that pesky job distraction.
Art, quitting work was such a good decision. You were so stressed and tired and now you are so happy! And you get the bonus of spending time with the kids and making memories. Hope you can make this long term. All the best. Looking forward to seeing the house build.
Such a special baby too. A girl after a bunch of boys!
Bri, you're a beautiful soul. Thank you for sharing some small part of yourself here.
The flying Art on a pitchfork, too cool!
Loved you riding the pitchfork, Art! Lol That sauerkraut looks really good. Just made my first pint. Bri the happiness you and the girls felt seeing the Hollers and the baby just jumped out of the screen.
Seeing the boys on the river bike ride was very sweet. What a lovely thing to do with them
I used to take my boys on long bike rides. We love the adventure. I miss those days. Thanks for the vicarious trip.
Build a greenhouse around the fig tree.
Good idea. The pampered fig could also be relocated to get more sun, but I'm sure it's not a top priority right now. If however they were to build a greenhouse, I hope they'd build it with enough room to house a fig, a Meyer Lemon, some berry bushes of course, & room for all kinds of lovely fruity & green veggie types of things.
Great idea! There is a man who built a green house for his figs in new york, where it snows almost five months of the year. It works for him.
This would be a great experiment for the vlog!
I watched a video where a guy wraps his in plastic, burlap, and tarp to protect them from freezing back all the way. I'm thinking of trying one, I'm zone 7 but we get serious ice storms.
You guys definitely have a serene peaceful happiness about you!!! The genuine happy smiles made me smile!!
God will bless you!!
Loving the content. You seem so happy it’s contagious... so it’s a fabulous way to start my day... thank you for that! Blessings
I just listened to the whole song. I loved it!! What a voice he has!!
Having followed you for years now, I can see how you are in such a beautiful place right now. As always, I appreciate the quality of your videos, but especially your depth and rich insights in everything you both have to share. A very articulate, intelligent, and inspiring couple. I also love Josh Garrells!
You all seem so incredibly happy!! I think Arthur quitting nursing is the best thing ever.
I can just see the joy exploding out of you two. You absolutely made the right decision.
Art, you are so much more relaxed. I'm sure that the children are happy that you are home. Good job!
art, it's dangerous making this old lady laugh this hard! :) you're a regular mary poppins! that pitch fork fly by was hilarious!
Man are the animals happy to have you guys home for treats lol
Ummmm, that was really good saurkraut! Thank you for the share boys.🥰
What a fun day for the family. Mom and daughters with the littlest guy and dad and the boys.
It was about life . . . love . . . family & friends and creating wonderful memories!! Many blessings to you and your family!
True story about the figs because my parents in North Alabama have five HUGE fig trees and they bear so much that they have to have them propped everywhere.
Loving the new content, can’t wait to see house videos!
That river looked so good brings back wonderful memories. Bike ride looked so fun. Yum on sourkrout. Joy so cute with excitement over seeing the new baby.
Aww. Cute baby clothes. Meeting new babies is so special. God bless you and the Hollars.
I'm happy that you were able to save the Sauerkraut ! And that was so nice with the boys hanging out going swimming, 😊👍💕💕💕
That goat idea is genius. Those islands are full of invasive plants and the DNRs are at a loss as to how to deal with them, often spraying with glyphosate.
Cover your fig tree in thick plastic bags all winter and uncover when frost is gone.
Such a great day! The pitchfork ride is a classic, and the ride to the river brought my childhood right back.
This video was absolutely amazing. Gotta love this precious family. God Bless.
Lovely Episode! Such a wonderful life. Can’t wait for the fermenting classes.
How Blessed and Peaceful, each of you were. Sweet and Happy. Feb, 2023 I am watching some older VLOGS on the farm. GOD BLESS EACH of YOU FROM S E MICHIGAN 🀄🀄🀄🛐🛐🛐🌹🀄🀄
What a joyful video. Art, I have never seen you so happy and smiling. Retirement suits you!
I stopped the video right away to listen to Josh.. My goodness what a blessing, thank you for that! Not to worry I came back to finish your video 🥰 Something special about you two lately. I see Jesus and it’s beautiful! 🥰 🤟
I am 64 and an empty nester. I am from a large family and love all the buzz of people filling that house and now it is so quiet. With the covid 19 I have had to be extra careful to not go out too often. I get lonely. But I found your videos and you have been a metal lifesaver for me. I love watching your family and watching the children and see all the wonderful things you do on your homestead. Thank you so much for being there and sharing your lovely life with ppl. "shut-in" like me. xoxoxox
Bri,you are looking so beautiful and happy these days.God bless.
Wondering if Bri has “mom” glow 🤔
Watching this to take my mind off my Dad having COVID. What a tonic you all are.
Oh, dear! I'm so sorry that happened to him, and I hope that he recovers quickly!
Karen M , thank you that’s very kind. He’s 80 and on day 10 of CoVID now. It looks like he’s going to be okay, so happy 😊
So wonderful to hear!
May he have a full and complete recovery.
The happiness in both of your eyes is long overdue. Keep it going.
You made the best decision for your children. My impression is that Dad is more relaxed, more present. You all are blessed.
The lightsaber was so cool😁 I'm so happy for y'all. God bless!
Bri is making me want to cry seeing how happy she is to spoil her friend. I love the outfits so much.
You guys, your content just gets better and better. Thanks so much for sharing the music! I cannot tell you how many times I wonder about what music CZcamsrs are listening to while they are cooking, cleaning, and doing projects. Ben Holler often has his ear buds in, and I am always so curious about what tunes are keeping him moving and motivated. I especially love learning about "new to me" music. I went right over to Amazon Music and downloaded the album you recommended. He has such a wonderful voice!
Love the Friendship Yas Have w/The Hollars❣️🥰 Art & Bri Yas Look SO Happy~Glad Yas Enjoying Being SO Happy Together & Bri You Gotta Watch & See Art Ride the Pitchfork❣️SO Funny & SO Cute❣️😂🥰
What a great video! I love that you've QUIT YOUR JOB, Arthur! Also enjoy seeing you two spending time with those kids, but more importantly, each other! Loved that bike ride too! Y'all are truly my friends!
The Lord is getting you ready for winter, with your abundance of food. Love watching you all .
😍
Arthur you look so much happier! What a blessing to stay home!
It’s nice to see you smile more .
Art! Wife of a neurosurgeon here...you know what I'm gonna say. Protect your noggin, even on the slow stuff.
Art I can feel your excitement now that you are not working off the farm. It’s so sweet to see the excitement flowing from you.
You both seem so much happier now that you have decided to stay home
Love the Hollars little Girl. If you wrap and put Leaves or Straw in the wrap it will help keep your Fig Tree and produce Fruit. An Italian Uncle used to do that in Pennsylvania and he got Figs every year. God Bless and Peace Be With You All
Never fermented anything, so it's really cool to see the process and what it looks like when goes wrong. Thx.
How nice, the girls got to get together and visit Meg and baby. The boys doing farm chores then going with dad doing boy things, riding their bikes and swimming in the river, to crown the lot off, mom stops and picks them all up, the girls gushing over the baby etc etc what a lovely ride home, full of chatter, You have a wonderful family. Have a great day.
Art you are very comical and glad to see you back with a glow on your face ( on both of your faces) Beautiful to see 🙏🥰🇨🇦
Pitchfork ride, thanks for the chuckle. Art, it's so awsome how relaxing you will feel just giving notice, and peace of mind knowing you are welcome back when/if the time comes. Life to be enjoyed!♥️
My mom was the daughter of a farmer. They often made farmers cheese (like cottage cheese) by sitting raw milk in glasses out on the counter until it was ready. My grandma poured off the whey and fed it to the animals and saved the curds and fed the kids.
Art and Bri you both seem more relaxed and happier!
Two thoughts... Put a small greenhouse type structure up for your fig tree. Then that is a great idea for the for goats on that island. I've past the island a thousand times and never has that occurred to me! Brilliant! However you pointed out the coyotes, I will point out mountain lions. As I l've told you many times, we lived very near your place and trust me mountain lions exist there. We heard them scream at night sometimes at our blueberry farm. But I know cats hate water so maybe they would be safe there. 🐈🐈🐈🐐🐐🐐That was really sweet what you did for Meg, Ben & the kids! They live very close to me at our current farm. It is truly amazing what they have already done to the old place there. I can't wait to continue to see the transformation of the rest of it. Just to let you guys know, your videos have always been super, however I could tell something was up good for you guys. I could feel it by the light and happiness in your eyes. So when you disclosed that you had quit your nursing job, I was like, Yes I knew it! You are excellent at your content and production because you are real, you're not acting! Makes all the difference in the world! Journey On!😊🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
I have noticed a subtle change in your family of even more peace and cohesiveness since Art is a full time Dad. It even more fun to watch your vlogs and share in your adventures. Your children are delightful and your family is a joy. Thanks for sharing!
Aww , I’m jealous ! You get to see that sweet lil punkin 🥰 ! You’re such a great friend Bri . Have a great day . Be blessed and favored 🙏🏽❤️
Fig tree. Can you get some green house plastic to put on a frame around the tree and stack wood chips and straw bales around to insulate the base?
I would build a small green house around the fig tree and then you could get figs. I watched a video of a man who did that up in michagin i think. Yall are awesome friends to the Hollars, and a true example of giving hearts.
Yes. Some kind of structure that can be covered and warm in the cold but uncovered most of the growing season.
Love seeing both of your hearts singing with joy!
Bri, I love your bright smile and love of life. You are so uplifting.
You seem so light hearted now. 😃 The song is beautiful. I’d love to come to that concert in your barn. 😉
Brings me back to when I was a child and life was so simple. Love the lifestyle you have chosen for your family.
Art & Bri, I've been watching you guys for a couple of years now. I just want let you know your consistency and quality of videos have improved greatly! I'm glad your full time now. Keep up the great work!
This content! This camera! Holy goodness the pictures are incredible! And this editing! Way to go!
Your pitchfork broomride made me laugh and then cry. It was a good cry. To see the fun you are now having. One is never to old to have a little bit of playtime.
How happy and smiley you both seem today! We're always amazed at how much cooler the temperature is when we cross over the mountain into Flat Rock and how life without humidity is so pleasant. Thanks for taking us along on your journey!
Your a man after my own heart Art. God Bless you & your family.
I actually cannot get enough of watching your Videos . You live in a magical place , there is so much beauty around you . I'm so happy that you are able to be home now Art, I know you will have some neat things to show building your new home. Right now I'm just enjoying the children and all that's around you , including the. Sauerkraut ! 😜☺️
I hope life will always smile to this family. This is how life is supposed to be. Bri was so excited to see baby Liliana. That's true friendship.
Those boys eyes of yours look like precious stones.
And the fun side of Art cracks me up. How on earth did you fly with that pitchfork? 🤣
Oh my word!! I can't believe you drove, hold that bike and filmed at the same time!!! What are you? A superhero 😂🌼
Can't wait for the new videos with Art's heart free as a bird
I absolutely LOVE fresh figs and fig preserves. We used to have family reunions in Lyons, GA when I was a kid (50+ years ago) for my Great Aunt Della’s birthday and the one hotel in town catered the big meal for everybody and there was always fresh biscuits and homemade fig preserves. Everyone knew who my Dad was because we were both crazy about the fig preserves.
Those boys are just about too big for those bikes. They grow up so fast.
To avoid mold in your sauerkraut, i have found that using a crock with a moat means that I don't get any mold at all. As long as you keep the moat topped up with salty water. That way, the air can escape, but no spores can get in.
That pitchfork flight was freaking awesome...☆
My family loves you guys! Thank you for sharing your family and life with us!
was so happy to see you doing fun things with your two older boys. We all see Wilder a lot but not the older ones. They have grown so much.
sweet video..dad making memories and mom showing how to share and care..
You are a sweet friend Bri! Always fun to shop for baby clothes!!!
The chinese make soup with the 'old' cucumber which is good for cooling down the body. I know your pigs love them, but maybe just another option.
So cute how Bri was like 'Didn't we already feed you?'. Sometimes kids are all you can eat, all day.
Loved this video. The only thing better would have been seeing the girls first intro to the Hollar's new baby girl...but I understand. Love the part where Art took the boys bike riding to the river. That was a special event for them to be sure. Have a Blessed day.
I absolutely am a fan of Josh Garrels and I have you all to thank!!! Steadfast is a beautiful song, brought me to tears. Have a blessed day!
Every time I watch your videos I wish I can have a life like guys have! 🙏😊
Love Josh Garrels, was in Indianapolis IN for a long time. Amazing song writer, amazing musician
Love Josh Garrells! Farther Along is my fave ❤️
This video was about living the life you dream of and loving it. Megs baby is a little doll ,thanks for sharing your life, even if you think you have not done anything special you have just by living your lives
We have a huge fig tree in our garden, which my daughters father-in-law grew from seed. This year was the best yet for fruit. We made 10 lbs of jam,fig cake and so much eaten fresh and the tree is still producing. The tree is about 14feet tall and is 16 years old ,so far we have never pruned it.We live in the south of the UK.We also picked 30lbs of plums.
Ooh, lucky you! Now we're at the top of the Downs, our fig tree (in a pot) no longer ripens fruit that used to when down in the valley! It's amazing what a differnt climate it is up 90m (300ft)
um, for American readers, North Downs, South Downs = hill ranges in southern UK - we go up the Downs! makes sense?
Bri your smile is just radiant!! So glad things are coming together for your homestead and you feel good too! Art you have a new skip in your step as well. And that riding of the pitchfork too funny!
Brie looked so genuinely happy today...that was lovely
Art and Bri we used to keep a couple of suction cup bathtub matts in the car in case we ever had to tie something on the roof that way it protected the paint job.
Just thought I'd share a little trick I learned about when my kids were little. Hopefully it will come in handy.
It was nice that you were able to have some time with the boys.
Stay happy, healthy, hydrated and safe.
God bless.
I have fig tree at our farm in Piney Creek, and realized after the first year that our growing season is too short, so...Im going to wrap it in burlap this winter with a lot of mulch and see if I cant over winter it! We luv figs too!
Lorraine Gliatta thank you! Im going to wrap my tree this winter!
Fig Leaf Fashions...now, there was a time in Life! You have a great sense of Humour! You brighten my Days! Your entire Family. Thank you!
I WAS WONDERING IF BRI WOULD BE WILLING TO SHARE THAT RECIPE? IT SOUNDS DELICIOUS! ❤️
Would love the recipe too!
Me too.
Linda, another recipe Bri shared a couple of years ago was for :The Best Apple Crisp ever" I tried it and it was the best.
Yes...I would love the recipe!
Art maybe if you put on a fig leaf and posted it others would follow suit...lol I bet you would get over a gazillion views....
I love the Hollers. Bri, you look pretty in purple.
My great grandfather had fig trees in Newark NJ. He kept them small but wrapped them every year to protect them in winter. There were plenty of figs to eat. Give it a try!
💡Fig trees.. My old Italian relatives grew here in NYC every year.. the trick to it was literal heavy blankets wrapping the cut down tree.. with food tarp. Start before first frost and remove after last frost.. A Fig Grew in NYC for many years... 💚💜💚💜💚💜💚💜💚
My property was also sloped. I built a retaining was from cinder blocks and leveled the planting ground.
Such beautiful and thoughtful gifts for the Hollar family......and fooood! The baby, Liliana Faith, is so cute adorable and I look forward to seeing their videos after their time out to rest and recover. Your boys also had the best adventure with Dad.
