Art, you are soooooooooooooooo hard on yourself. I am astonished how much work you get done in a day - Bri too - and at the end of the day you are beating yourself up for not doing more. You took care of the animals, pastures, and your precious family. That is a day worth celebrating!

Joyful really loves up to her name in the vlog. The joy she radiate when she got to swing high after you moved your truck... The joy she tried to share with an uncertain Wylder at the site of the wasps nest but cheerfully offering "you wanna look at them?"... The joy of her giggling and telling him "yea, that's your dad!"... And even her little cuddle and smile in your outro. Good to see that she was a light in your families life while half of you were sick!

Made me tear up the peace in her eyes as she was hugging her dad. And Art rubbing the little ones back for a nap made me so happy. My father wasnt very affectionate or involved with us. And neither are my childrens father. Seeing good dads makes me hopeful I can find someone to be a good role model for them.

Same here.
My Mother died from cancer when I was 4 and my Dad raised me and my 1/2 sister. He wasn't an affectionate person and neither were my first 2 husbands so I ended up being a single mom with 3 sons.
They all turned out alright but I still feel sad for the childhood memories that never happened with their fathers that they could have cherished the rest of their lives just because that wasn't a priority for them.. But It is refreshing to see when children are raised in a loving home , too many now days never get to feel that kind of love and compassion.
It is heartbreaking to see children that grow up abused and neglected and only a small percentage manage to break the cycle.

Praying everyone is well very soon. For your consideration, at zone 7a, I successfully grew ginger from store-bought rhizome outside in a wide pot. It's a little thing, but it was a really fun experiment and I got back my investment three fold. I rinsed and soaked it overnight and then planted it 3 inches deep in good loose soil.
The black and white calf loves you all so much for rescuing him :) Hope Bri feels better. I was knocked down by something similar earlier this year and took charcoal out of desperation. It worked! I'm sure Art knows best.
charcoal is my go to for any stomach issue! works like a charm every time!

Those were wasps, not bees. Here's my method for getting rid of an unwanted nest of them: mix up a liter of water, 10 drops of peppermint oil and a squirt of dish soap. Spray them at sundown, when they're all home and voila! Colony gone. Wasps hate the smell of peppermint, so if we're eating outside and the wasps come to feast, I simply just spray water with peppermint oil around the eating area and they stay away.

My sons are all adults now, when they were kids I would use baking as an opportunity to teach fractions by handing my kids a smaller measuring cup to have them figure how to make what was needed to add. I am doing the same with my grandkids, they love baking and helping and thier learning to take turns at the same time

Hey Art, Did you know that you can chew up some plantain from the yard and put it on the sting to relieve pain within few seconds. It's nice to have this readily available in the yard since this is where you get stung.
I think Bri did that for one of the kids in a past video
