You need a bracelet with a WWSS (what would Shanon Say) - so glad that injury is not anymore serious. That is a bad spot - hitting it or accidentally overdoing the joints or hand. Keep it clean and elevated as much as possible and cover it when working with the animals or any work with the dirt - basically anytime you’re outside I guess. Keeping you all in prayers. ❤

Got our little guy, Danny, (Schnug ~ Pug and mini schnauzer) neutered a week ago. When we put the cone of shame on him, he froze! He wouldn’t move a muscle. He just stood like a statue and looked so pitiful. Finally, I just took it off and he never bothered his…surgical site. We now have a little eunuch…. Bless his ❤ 😟

Hey guys, please be very careful with letting the dogs get near the deer. My lab was attacked by a buck and almost died. Luckily, the vet saved him, but 5 days in intensive care and $13k in vet bills was not fun. Kyle, sending healing vibes your way!
My same thoughts, the mother deer was giving warnings, and it was a good thing her babies were behind her. These animals have hooves and antlers and know how to use them. Bruno should have been told NO. Sorry your dog was hurt and glad he recovered.

Spruce reminds me of bruce so much. I remember all those noises he use to make and the mischief he could get into. Yea i no he belonged to Chad. But he was my favorite on Doss farms. I hope it heals quickly. Hand injuries are a royal pain. It's amazing how hard things are when you can only use one. I'm glad Shannon was able to get home and get you to the doctor. Kyle be very careful to keep it clean. Watch for any signs of infection. My husband nearly lost his hand from a similar injury that got infected.

Kyle, I'm glad you went to urgent care..you have a caring wife and family. Several years ago, I injured my left arm... I'm a lefty, so I understand having to do things with a less dominant hand. Not at all fun. Heal quickly and be careful. 🏥 pray 🙏

Kyle I am glad everything is ok, it's called school of hard knocks and when it's all healed up you can brag with your friends about all your war wounds, accidents happen you allways learn from them especially when they hurt.
Kyle, wear a rubber glove over your bandaged hand so it reduces infection risk.

Yikes, sorry about that hand. Love your wooden swing and how you both move at the same time vs your dad’s rock n talk where they go back n forth a different pace. Still all good tho. Shannon you seem so much happier since going back to work, not that staying home was not, but sometimes that makes the heart grow fonder. (and the pocketbook a bit fatter).

Shannon you should get some Bleed Stop for your medical kit. It’s a powder that can be sprinkled on an open wound & will stop the bleeding. It has clotting factor in it so it works quickly. The one time that I didn’t have any, I had a cancer wound that starting pouring. I’m an OR nurse so I knew to hold pressure on it because it was a little artery bleeding. We ended up going to the ER just because I could not get it stopped. The ER doc tried to put a stitch in it, but that didn’t work. He tried using a disposable electric cautery on it, that didn’t work. Then he thought about the quick stop clotting factor & that worked perfectly. (Had it not worked, I was headed to surgery.) That Christmas everyone in the family got some to keep on hand. It’s good stuff!
