      Hi Jacob, All chemical reactions require activation energy, which is the energy needed to get a reaction started.

      Hi Jacob, yes spontaneous reactions also have activation energy, if you watch the video on glycolysis czcams.com/video/djfO-li8gR4/video.html
      You will see that energy is require to start the process but the release of energy at the end of the reaction is greater then the initial amount of energy consumed. So the net energy will make the process exothermic or spontaneous
