Danielson should've won the belt off Omega. That was the perfect time to put it on him. Then you could've set up Punk vs Danielson for the title while Punk was still in AEW. That would have been the big money making match.
i was there live in Jersey for there second iron match and thought Bryan was gonna win it. was so bummed out

Daniel just said the stupidest thing, Bryan is in a tournament where the winner gets a title shot at All-In here in the UK but doesn’t want the belt, the AEW fans are die hard fans who know the ins and outs and read the dirt sheets read the internet and interviews, pure wrestling nerds. Why did he say that like Chewbacca it doesn’t make sense.
Bryan Danielson as champion would elevate that title, and elevate the guy that takes it off of him, if it's booked right.

Danielson should evolve a character that’s a dojo sensei where he can lead a group, act as a manager in other people’s matches, and engage in entertaining training montages. There’s enough reality in that to Kayfabe the hell out of it and would help sell the BCC or whatever other faction Danielson is evolved in. A story where a wrestler is tested be each member of the dojo writes itself.
Bryan Danielson is the *most* *professional* wrestler being in his prime and turning down a title because he thinks it's better suited on someone else. NO ONE does that. That's class and a real respect for the business.
I think of Sting wanting to lose his last match and everyone else refusing. Bryan maybe will become champ, but I believe him not wanting it. His time in AEW these days doesn't really point to carrying a belt.
If he want to perform at the highest level,just wrestle in empty garage for example behind his home,build a ring,invite any wrestler and record the match and post it on youtube,he doesnt need crowd right? its about HIM having dream matches,not about crowd anticipation.
Danielson is a mark. He isn’t interested in drawing anything, he just wants to have “dream matches”.

Khan-oki has tried several times to get Danielson to be AEW champion, but, he's always turned it down & I can see why as he's not able to pull off an elongated "World" Title reign or 2 at this point because of his injuries. Much respect for Danielson for realizing that...
Maybe it's not an important consideration for Danielson, and maybe he doesn't care, but at the end of his AEW run there will be no angles to remember, no great narratives. Great matches? Undoubtedly. But that's never but that's never been the fully picture of pro wrestling. If all your going for is a highlight reel on someone's fan channel, then I guess this is exactly what you do.
The same thing AJ said after 2018 and Shawn said after his 2002 run. I respect it but it also ruined championship matches they were in for Mr because I knew they weren't winning

I think it's a work. He'll be the 5th man in the Elite and be World Champion.
A Bryan title run would have really helped the promotion, and that promotion needed the help.

That idea the British dude pitched. That's just shadowing Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels, which is why it comes across as a good idea. Dutch's addition would allow a baby face vs babyface with Bryan being a cocky good guy and demanding his career be on the line.

AEW keeps the world title in guys too long. Tony doesn't book the world champ as special. To not put the title on Bryan is crazy. Have him win it, then drop it.
I had to look up who the current AEW World Champion was. It's Swerve and he's been champ for over two months. Totally forgot. The title inflation in AEW is absurd to the point of parody. When you consider the origins of secondary titles in a promotion (Verne Gagne being given the US Title) and you know that the purpose was to confuse and conflate so you think you're watching the big dog, the dorky belts in AEW really underscore how small time they are.
Bryan is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He's still unbelievable in his matches.

I like the idea of having Bryan Danielson win the AEW World Championship at All In & him making the stipulation that whoever beats him for the title, they retire Danielson. For how long his title run should be, I'd let it run until either Revolution or Double or Nothing 2025 & then either have Darby Allin or Claudio Castagnoli finally dethrone him. Then Bryan officially retires & possibly does still work for AEW as a backstage producer, or he possibly returns to WWE & gets inducted into the Hall of Fame.
He’s in a tournament for the belt but comes out and says he doesn’t want it, personally I found it stupid.

Reality is probably the Owen Hart Tournament is probably going to be Hangman. It's basically gonna be AEW's "Finger Poke of Doom" when the Elite interfere to help Hangman against Bryan and probably Swerve. They'll probably keep towards Hangman doesn't want their help because it's the same kind of over thought half baked idea they do.

AEW has good wrestling matches, but there's no good stories to keep me interested.
MJF's whole reign was a story to remember. The 8 matches he made Bryan Danielson go through just to earn a shot at the title was crazy. It led to one of the best Iron Man matches of all time
@@karateken999 The last 2 times I tried to watch AEW there were no stories or build up to keep my attention. Maybe it was better back then. I'm not an AEW hater, but if I'm not entertained with the stories within the first 2 matches, I'm checking out.

True. But that’s not my problem with that. Saying you don’t want the championship is a terrible way to put the championship over. It also can make a fan lose more interest. He’s never going for the title and if he is, he’s not going to win it. I can understand someone having a problem with cheering for a wrestler who doesn’t want to win. Doing all of that is one thing, talking about it to the public is another. I know kayfabe is dead, but this goes beyond that a bit. If I’m Tony, I’m mad about him making his championship look like something that one of the best in the world doesn’t want.
Danielson doesn't need the belt, but the belt needs Danielson (or at least someone on his level).

Danielson is just working an angle by repeatedly saying he doesn’t want to win the belt. That way, when Hangman Page wins the belt at Wembley, and the Elite EVPs are crowing about having all the control & power in AEW… Tony Khan & Christopher Daniels can then go to Bryan and beg for him to be the savior and win the belt back before he hangs up his boots.
That makes no sense.
