  • 2013 Toyota RAV4 EV.
There is a check EV system warning on the dash. The Toyota computer has a P312F code. There are no alerts stored in the Tesla gateway. The code in the Toyota computer will not clear.
If the HV battery is unplugged or the BMS fuse is pulled the code can be cleared.
The charger, DCDC and thermal ecu were unplugged and the code remains.
The drive unit was unplugged and the CAN lines were jumped, code still remains.
Power, ground and CAN lines were checked at the battery, powertrain control module and Tesla gateway. All are good.
It appears to have a problem with the HV battery.
A working battery from a parts vehicle was plugged in and the code came back right away.
A spare gateway ecu and powertrain control ecu were swapped and the code still remains.
All of the modules are up to date and the Tesla powertrain firmware upload was performed.

I sympathize with your situation, but
    1. If the Tesla software system malfunctions, TechStream is absolutely useless.
    2. It’s a pity that you don’t want/can’t follow the advice in a personal message and perform other checks that are necessary to localize the location of the fault.
    3. This video of yours lacks a lot of necessary information and does not include all possible checks.

Can you provide links to sort that stuff out??

@@garbizwal Unfortunately, I don’t understand what exactly you want to understand?
Describe the problem with your RAV4EV and we can discuss possible/probable causes of these problems.
It is possible that the answers to your questions are in the video of my channel.

@@altechpage Hi, Sorry I am looking at how to get the BMS fault to reset in my Rav 4 EV. Do you have any information on how to clear the BMS fault?

      @altechpage Před 4 měsíci +1

@@garbizwal In order to clear a fault code, you need to determine the reason for its appearance.
Many Tesla system codes are erased on their own if the car is “cured”.
I can't answer more precisely, since the fault code of your vehicle is unknown.
For example, the reason for the BMS_f107 code is completely different from the BMS_w023 code.

@@altechpage Ok thank you the fault seems to be BMS_f059
