Fun fact The Guardians Of The Globe the hero team in This show that you see are loosely based on DC'S The Justice League. Darkwing based on Batman and Darkwing Duck who is not part of DC, The Immortal is based on Superman and Vandal Savage, Martian Man, is based on Martian Manhunter, Green Ghost- Green Lantern, Red Rush - The Flash, Aquarius- Aquaman ,Omni Man based on Injustice Superman and The Boys Homelander.

Nobody thought it was a kids show. I wasn't advertised as such and the comic series has a ling standing notorious reputation for the content esp the sexual assault of Mark
@@chinyereugwu9431 Noone who knows anything about the comics or the trailers would know anything about that lol. Plus the pacing of the first episode before Nolan's actions would make one think that this show could possibly cater to a younger audience.

@chinyereugwu9431 yeah I didn't know anything about the comics or see any trailers prior and the tone before the last part was definitely more teen rated, like young justice or Avatar. I definitely didn't realize it was going to be that graphic

I remember I was so hyped for this show when it came out, I got stoned before watching the first episode, and was completely unprepared for the ending. It left me in such shock I literally sat there in silence for like 10 mins after the credits rolled. 😂😂
You guys/girls gonna enjoy this one. You get hooked immediately after the first episode.

Nolan's even worse than Homelander because he has the actual power to back up his pride.

And it's shit like this why batman always thinks of a contingency whenever meeting a new hero.
Just want to clarify that when Nolan/Omni-Man says Viltrumites can fly, move at great speed and that they possess great strength, that's it. That's their power set, along with invulnerability (to an extent) and superhuman reflexes of course. But I wanted to point that out because I've seen people assume that Nolan and Mark have super hearing or even super *vision* when they really don't. Mark even has to remind someone at one point in the comics that his hearing is no better than a normal human's.
Not really their main ability is their smart cells, which allows then to adapt on incredibly level, also caused their slow aging and makes them immune to all viruses and diseases
They have Omni-directional flight
Space breathing(super lungs)
Super strength
Super speed
Slow aging (for thousands of years)
Invincible Durability(able to handle the heat of the sun for days)
But that doesn’t make sense really. You can tell they have superhuman reflexes but to have that you have that you would have to have better vision and better hearing. A simple thing like Omni man being able to keep up with red rush. I don’t think the normal human could do with his vision. Same thing with the hearing. And isn’t their hearing a big weakness for them. Doesn’t it mess them up. It reminds me of homelander in season 2 when they know he has super hearing so they played that annoying sound and you could tell he was affected
Man this was a experience I remember a few people talking about this show so I wanted to check it out. I ended up watching it 2 days after it came out cause Mark from RDC tweeted it was a S tier show so I watched and seen all the warnings at the beginning watched and was like it wasn’t that bad🤣But it was a great show instantly reminded me of OG cartoons, then BAM the last 10 minutes of the show smacked me in the face I was like wtf happened😂😂Such a fire show!!🔥🔥

Fun military fact: I was let onto base without my cac and I was the passenger. The driver only showed his license bc he got kicked out of the military and no longer had a cac so that could have been a very big breach in security

Sorry for this rant, but I had to. Seeing a Korean American actor, Steven Yeun, in such an immensely popular show as The Walking Dead playing an actual Korean American character (instead of Japanese or Chinese ones) was such a profound and proud moment for me as a Korean American who never experienced representation in Western media like that before. The creator of TWD and Invincible, Robert Kirkman, has mentioned in interviews that he regrets not properly showing the diversity of the US population in his comics. Yeun collaborating with Kirkman again in Invincible is the first time I've seen a half Korean American character being the main character of a superhero-themed animated series in the West. Both of these shows gave me renewed confidence in myself and my ethnicity instead of being ham-fisted into the same East Asian grinder that was Chinese martial arts movies of the late 90s to early 2000s as well as Japanese samurai/ninja stereotypes.

I just watched the 1st episode just because these guys are reacting to it but F*** what a turn of events that was crazy it was a parody of that scene from DC where all the superheroes were fighting Superman but in this case it didn't go well and was so gruesome
Just like The Boys by Garth Ennis, the characters, teams etc in the Invincible comics are all inspired by DC characters. Heck the main character is names after Dick Grayson

8.8/10 is a high score. Given ign gave something like jjk season 2 a 6/10 and demon slayer s3 5/10 lol. Had me thinking. Though I think anything past 8.5 is basically 10. Since most shows don’t get 10 and 9 is rare on day IMDb. Something lower than 7.5 to 7 is watchable but flawed. 6-5 is waste usually.
