My personal theory is that something that the aliens from the very first episode left in South Park caused the time anomaly which prohibits anyone from aging

My Cartman & Kyle friendship theory is this
Cartman as a kid hates Kyle but he saves kyle in the episode smug alert because kyle is his favourite person in south park to rip on as cartman is a wind up merchant & enjoys making people angry or offended
kyle suits cartman's needs perfectly as kyle can be shown to have a shorter temper around Cartman compared to Kenny Butters or Stan.
Cartman also probably wanted kyle back in Smug alert as butters sucks as a replacement friend for cartman to rip on as butters is way to kind and caring while kenny would probably just ignore all of cartmans poor kid jokes despite being a easy target. so kyle is really the only kid cartman can pick on and get a easy reaction out of as Cartman goes out of his way the most to pick on kyle then butters then Kenny as for stan Cartman has a better chance of a actual friendship if stan stopped being Kyle's friend.
It is also possible that Cartman also secretly looks up to kyle since kyle is the most wealthy white kid in south park and yet Cartman might also be jealous of Kyle due to him having more money a actual father figure and an adopted sibling all three of these Cartman doesn't have.
& Lastly Cartman might just be hanging out with kyle to use him for his own advantage Cartman is greedy & selfish so it would be no surprise to me that he wants to hang out with kyle just for his jew gold.

There's one problem with the Mccormicks being poor theory. Kenny has stated before that no one remembers him dying even if it was right in front of them, there's also the fact that when Kenny stayed dead then came back they just went "Oh hey Kenny". I like the theory it's funny but that's not the case here
To be fair, his parents actually seem to be aware of Kenny's many deaths. As shown in the Coon and friends episode and the NAMBLA episode.

The Randy and Sharon theory has actually been debunked. In the Pandemic Special episode (I don't remember which part), Sharon refers to Jimbo as being "her brother", whereas if Randy was also her brother she'd just refer to him as simply Jimbo or 'Our brother Jimbo'.

My personal theory about Kenny is that, the Kenny now is NOT the original Kenny.
After Kenny was killed off in season 5, the boys found out Kenny was cremated, and Cartman drank Kenny's ashes thinking it was chocolate milk mix. Kenny's soul was now in Eric's body ("Ladder To Heaven")
Chef and the boys flew to get answers but found out the psychic medium, John Edward's was a fake (and the biggest douche in the universe, according to Stan). Chef takes Leanne and Eric (and Kenny) to his parents house to extract Kenny's soul and into a ...substitute child but they didn't have one and Kenny's extracted should ended up in the pot roast Chef's mother took out of the oven.
But when Chef, Leanne, and Eric left to get the pot roast that was now inhabited by Kenny's soul, it was missing.
I believe that Kenny's soul took over the Kid who stole and ate the possessed pot roast.
This is proven wrong since we see the Kenny with the same haircut and hair color in episode 5 s26 and we saw Kenny in the first South Park movie, this therory has been proven wrong

I’ve been watching South Park for about 15 years now, and Ive got to say, I’m convinced at this point that Cartman and Kyle are gay lovers with weird ways of showing it lol
It may not be strictly romantic but Cartman and Kyle have some sort of weird codependency going on. As shown in the Post Covid specials, if Cartman's happy then Kyle can't be, and vice versa. So fate pretty much is still linking them to each other in some way.

I feel like I need to explain why the theory that cartman likes kyle is plausible. My first piece of evidence is that cartman is an extremely mean person who is willing to kill people to get revenge. If a character doesn’t bother him enough for him to kill them he just ignores it and moves on but with Kyle he is constantly mad at Kyle and has had multiple experiences with him where I believe he could have killed Kyle if he wanted to but he didn’t. Another piece of evidence is that cartman makes bets where if he wins Kyle has to suck his balls and I don’t think he’s ever done that with anyone other than Kyle. He was willing to let stan die so Kyle would suck his balls. He also has saved Kyle on multiple occasions when he easily could’ve just let him die like he would with literally anyone else. And finally, in the fractured but whole he has some very interesting drawings in his journal containing 2 kyles. The last one might not be as prominent because he has similar pictures of other characters however those pictures are more depicting messed up scenarios while the kyle one is just 2 of him. No other characters with him, just himself twice. (Not saying that it’s not a weird drawing)
I personally don’t ship them because I can’t imagine a universe in which Kyle would reciprocate those feelings and even if he did I can’t imagine the relationship being very healthy or stable but I can see cartman liking kyle

I think that the Penuts is a show/cartoon/comic in the South Park universe, but it’s not real- because we see Charlie Brown in imagination land (for a split second when the terrorist first attack and Stan’s ears are ringing) and it wouldn’t make sense for Charlie Brown to be in imagination land- unless he’s imaginary.

It's obvious Cartman struggles with internalized homophobia. I think he has crushes on not only Kyle but also Butters and possibly Kenny as well and that's why he targets them the most. Not that I want him to get into a canon relationship with any of them, mind you. We all saw what happened to Heidi. Any relationship present day Cartman would get into would be an abusive one and shipping abusers with their victims doesn't sit right with me.
