The one with Professor cloning the crew every time they die is actually the explanation for extra lives in the video game
That vending machine theory at the end is my favourite theory. It's so wholesome.
The cloning the crew theory doesn't work either because there's an episode where Farnsworth thinks the crew is doomed and tries to hire a new crew. When Leela, Fry, and Bender show up, he kicks them out but keeps their paperwork on file.
My theory disenchantment is a show within a show the simpsons can watch, this explains why elfo looks so different from other elves his costume is a reused "happy little elves" costume
And why there are disenchantment action figures in comic book guys room
About the Anti Aging theory. They do age, they've only aged 13 years, though. And if Dark Matter was at fault, wouldn't a massive shipping complex with dozens of interstellar ships expose you to more of it than one ship?

I never thought a vending machine would be the most pure and wholesome thing.
But we see Bender try to cheat the Suicide Booth with a string tied to a coin before he got shocked.
Not to mention what was shown to us in the episode Mother’s Day where it’s revealed that bending units actually have visions on who would be the easiest to steal from.
He probably wanted to scam the machine since he hated it so much
And he was vulgar before being shocked. Need I even mention his very first line?

The vending machine i think (as some people have said) is a metaphor for humanity but to take it slightly further a vending machine doesn't keep the money for itself. The money is collected by the owner leaving it with nothing, we can sometimes feel this way when we work for soulless companies.

*You forgot to mention how when bender reset around the penguins he reset into penguin mode. So when he reset in the hall of criminals he reset into criminal mode*
the only problem i see on the bender rebooted as a criminal is he rebooted from leela in the bird bot of hoth( or whatever the pannet was called) so he would be a seminormal person after that

Sadly the vending machine is indeed mentally ill. He believes himself to be sick as with a cold, not a virus. He can be seen to be coughing on several occasions. Vm is sick, as Fry describes he can not take anything in, the dollar bill being stuck, and his cough and hacking up candy bars or other items he contains. I believe when Fry says he is human, his prison guide evens yeah you and others here, it scans the room and you can see the vending machine.

Tbh I think that zapp is a very distant relative in the fry family tree, fry and zapp are both incredibly dumb in a way that’s different from everyone else. Zapp also has blond hair which could come from hundreds of years or mutations from some point in the fry family tree.
Farnsworth never sends the originals out. He keeps them in stasis tubes and only sends out the clones.
I think the zap frozen theory. Might make sense his favorite music is music from Frys time.
