  • The perfect complement to an auto clutch, the Rekluse Left-Hand Rear Brake provides high performance braking power while allowing riders to operate the rear brake using only their left hand. Riders keep the option and function of the rear foot pedal. The all new system features a Rekluse engineered and machined full size master cylinder and Rail Adjuster (RAD) Mount Technology.
The Rekluse Left-Hand Rear Brake helps riders to navigate challenging terrain including steep declines and narrow ridges with ease. In addition, it provides riders the ability to use their left hand to drag the rear brake in cornering situations for better line setup and faster riding with more confidence.
This video will guide you through the installation process.

One piece of advice I can offer, which can save you hours of work, mess and frustration. The o-ring that goes into the rear master cylinder is incredibly easy to damage. I followed instructions taking utmost care to ensure it is seated flat on the perch at the bottom and past the window cut-out. I still damaged it and then spent a great deal of time trying to bleed without any success with the lever. All you have to do to prevent this is to slide the o-ring over the end of the the Rekluse sleeve insert and lube it lightly with brake fluid. Then carefully lower and screw in the insert. It is easy and safe for the o-ring. Otherwise , the o-ring on the bottom of the reservoir is sort of loose, it is not in the groove or anything and have some free play, and then you screw in the sleeve the nose of the sleeve has to enter the ID of the o-ring, it can easily dislodge it upon initial contact and you will destroy o-ring without knowing. Rekluse , please update instructions to reflect this. One other thing is to keep holding tube on the syringe nose with your fingers, if you don’t, and with some pressure build up you are almost guaranteed to have tube slide off and then you will send brake fluid all over your floor and bike.

I swapped my rear Magura MC for a Brembo to run this LHRB kit. After that, this install was quite easy thanks to this video. One pointer that came from the team at Rekluse... If you are having a hard time flushing out those last hidden air bubbles, lay the bike on its side. Left then right, left, right etc. I had a small pocket rise out after doing so. I also improvised and did a little tapping and jiggling along the break line. That also released a few additional tiny bubbles. Good to go from there. Fun install if you ask me.

Just installed system on my 2022 excf 450 . Installation was very easy after watching the video a couple of times. Bled easily and worked first time. Really pleased with the kit and how easy it was to install. Works perfectly. Only 1 issue while installing... The bleed pipe for the rear brake was extremely difficult to get onto the bleed nipple.. The pipe could do to be a fraction larger in diameter for the OE KTM bleed nipple.

Speaking from experience - I would recommend including two more of the clips in the kit - for securing the hose to the syringes. Twice, while pushing fluid through I had the hoses pop off the syringe - making a considerable mess.
But once installed, this is a great piece of hardware. A great improvement over the previous version - it fits so much better alongside the existing clutch.

Looks like an absolute nightmare to bleed. I’ve heard these tend to be kinda soft but maybe they weren’t bled correctly?
The OX brake looks sweet because of simplicity but also seems like there’s weak points like the adjustment rod.

    Hi.
Looking advise for installing Rekluse Left-Hand Rear Brake Kit.
I have the OEM closed hand guards and could not find any way to install the upper pump.
Checking Rekluse install video I see the are using hand guard mounts that attaches to the handle bar mount.
Is the only way to install this already expensive kit is to buy another 150$ hand guard mounts?
Do you guys have any other solution?

    @rickbullotta8253 Před 4 lety +1

My install went fairly well but a few tips I wanted to share that aren't well addressed in this video:
When you attempt to bleed the system and you find that fluid won't flow in either direction, the brake pedal might be adjusted such that the orifice is closed. you need to experiment with the pedal adjuster to get it open
Also, even when you have all of the bubbles seemingly out of the system, you may still find yourself with a spongy lever. I had to do a bit of trial and error with manipulating/adjusting the foot pedal and cycling the lever and repeating the bleeding process quite a few times to get it sorted.

I just put a Rekluse auto clutch and Rekluse rear hand brake on my 2000 yz250 woods bike. I had to get a 2005+ rear master cylinder in order for it to work, ended up with a 2010 master cylinder. It’s an amazing setup! Had the Ox-Brake rear hand brake before and it’s not even a comparison. The overall quality and fitment with Rekluse is well worth the money.
