Schools run by the Roman Catholic Church are the best anywhere in India and, additionally, do not give any importance to conversion. They are true believers in the maxim that service to society is service to God. So they have been giving selfless service to society since decades, without bothering with the narrow objective of conversion. I'm a proud Hindu and an Indian, but also a beneficiary of a thorough convent education, the authentic kind from a Roman Catholic institution. My entire schooling was in such schools, run by the Jesuits, Society of Jesus.

    We are Hindu ,
My Grandmother's Sister was suffering from cataract , the doctor's told her that operation is the only way left ,
She once went to church (It was NOT a catholic church, it was a different church as they did not worshiped Marry) and pleaded the pastor to pray for her. Then she came back and used to pray the same way the pastor prayed for her, this went on for some days, The pastor told her to believe that God will fight your battle. One day at night she felt in her dreams that a hand came over her eyes and just swept offf gently , she felt that it was a fatherly figure and she saw herself crying in the dream. The next morning she woke up and experienced a clear vision. She got it checked from doctor. The doctor was astonished and kept checking multiple times. At the end he lost will and confessed that there is no cataract layer left in the eye.
My grandmother never converted to Christianity but since then she started reading Bible and Listened to this Christian pastor from Elevation church ..... His name was something Furtick....., don't remember as she told me to listen to him when you are in trouble or when heart broken and when you can't do shit about your situation

We would say the morning prayer willingly because we love Jesus as humans, there is no question of "forceful conversion". But I see a problem with arrogant and illiterate people demeaning and degrading people.

Yes exactly, friend. There should be a distinction between Christians, and forceful converters. True conversion is when a person is given a choice to choose between, believe, and commit his/her life to. It is a total conversion of one's spirit and overall. Conversion to Christianity is never about simply changing one's religion to Christianity. It's "to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me (Jesus).’ " (Acts 26:18). Jesus became a human being and came for us, died on a cross of His own will the death we deserved, due to our sins, and rose again on the third day! He is the only God, and there is reason to believe in Him alone. Evidence does back these claims.

The fact is that in Christian Missionary schools, The teachers are better, There is a bit more disciplined life and most major point is that English and other Languages are their main concern and so without even realising, language improves slowly and thus students are already ready for facing interviews. Another point which might be positive is that usually Missionary schools are more reputed as compared to other local City schools.

I don't wanna brag but imagine studying and gethering more knowledge , improving vocabulary and skills only for 2 years in an Christian school whilst I couldn't achieve that in a normal school and where I turned out to be bully in my normal school because of fighting back bullies and that little pride which I had in myself that I'm very much enough for this class and st.pauls school broke that pride of mine , taught me how to seek more and more knowledge .

Many of the educational institutions in India are under Christian Trusts. However, students of any religion can study there. You don't need to convert and there is nothing being forced on to you. As you rightly said, some of these schools are really good in the teaching-learning process and hence parents send their children there.
The maximum I have seen religious is some Christian prayer songs in the morning. But, these institutions also have our National Anthem, Pledge & all celebrations (regardless of religion).

It's wasn't that there were no schools and colleges in India 🇮🇳 before the arrival of British and Christian missionaries. Education has always been the bedrock of Indian society. Taxila, Nalanda and several other universities are the proof of education as well as the Gurukuls which were residential schools funded by kings for impartial education to children irrespective of economic backgrounds.
When the British arrived, they wanted employees who were " British by education yet native by their skin colour " The task of "educating Indians" the British way was taken over by the Christian missionaries who, had two birds to hit with one stone. While they imparted British education, they also embarked upon introducing Christianity too.
Missionaries open schools in less developed and tribal areas with conversion being the main agenda.

Theres a girl in 2nd standard class Behind our home in st Anne's on every dec 25 she puts that merry Christmas page.. where she take the middle page of the note book she uses some sketch pens and decorate it with merry Christmas written on it and puts it on the entrance gate of her House and her parents are so proud of that that their daughter is following supreme and fancy festival... No problem with celebration of merry Christmas but she did not do the same thing with Diwali or Ganesh chaturthi.. she should have thought of decorating diwali on the page right .. but she didn't.. she hates wearing bindi.. she calls bindi Bhikari... From such a small age she is being brainwashed.. if this is not slow poison then what is ... The worst school ever. I have studied in DAV school for 9 years and only thing I have learnt was how to fight all the frickin' time. Teachers used to harassed girls by touching in a wrong way, seeing on our breasts.
Teachers used to discriminate on the basis of face, culture and caste and most of the teachers were rude. I had to study in that school for long because I never wanted to tell all those situations to my parents.
They used to give us long holidays for all hindu festivals but when Christian & Muslims festivals come, we used to get holiday just for one day. like what a discrimination. I was so much interested in dancing but in these 9 years I never got chance to perform and whenever I tried asking "ma'am can I dance or act too" she will ignore nd they will take only hindu girls. The worst story in school was- when I asked one ma'am "ma'am can I plzz get into this acting group" then she replied yeah go and take that busket and take a role of a poor begger then I felt really bad and asked ma'am I don't want to do now, then she asked me to leave and at that time I was in 5th class. Some general caste kids used to suppressed lower caste kids and who were losers. And one more thing I wanna on is- I got forced by teachers to join hawan and put tika.
Later on I got admission in Kerala for high schooling which was a Christian school, and I finally got people who had diversified mind & teachers were really cool, they always supported all the students nd never bullied any weak one and I think one of the reason why keralites are rich is because they don't fight between castes, religion and on some bullshits and they mostly think about how to develop themselves.
I didn't want to write anything before but when I read hate comments about Christians and their schools, I felt like I should reveal the reality of these Hindu schools too which I experienced.
Ik after reading this comment some people will start writing shits here but lemme tell u.
And remember one thing- "one seed falls on the ground and that one seed gives 10x more fruits", we Christians are like that one seed.
If u r really a religious person, plzz learn how to behave first and I think Bhagwat Geeta never teaches u to fight and harm others. Your one bad action shows what u learnt from your family, religion.
I'm a proud Christian and a proud citizen of India.

I enjoyed a lot in my school life along with being disciplined and still I love my Alma Mater.

Christian schools are mostly run by Catholic Priests and Nuns. These men and women have taken an oath to practice Chastity, Poverty and Obedience. In a large group there will obviously be good and bad. So there are some bad examples among the Priests and Nuns as well. But that should not take away the good example set by a good majority of Priests and Nuns in fulfilling their religious vows.
When individuals practicing these spiritual disciplines of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience undertake a work like educating children or taking care of the sick and the suffering, it's obvious that they would bring in a lot of sincerity and dedication in their work.
When a Priest is addressed as Father and a Nun as Mother or Sister, it consciously and subconsciously imposes upon them an obligation to treat those under them as their own spiritual children. This leads to a different kind of accountability.
Prayer, meditation, fasting, charity and sacrifice plays a central role in the life of Priests and Nuns. It's because of these virtues that Priests and Nuns are able to selflessly serve the institutions they are appointed to.
Moreover, a good number of employees in Catholic institutions are Catholics. Since the Catholic laymen share much of the virtues of the Priests and Nuns, on account of following the Teachings of Jesus Christ, there is an environment of love, care, sincerity and compassion in Catholic Institutions.
Anyone who had studied in Catholic schools, colleges and other institutions will agree how Christian values practiced by Catholics in their work have helped shape their personality, character, intellect and future.
May God bless India and all Indians everywhere.
