Yes DSG is good at hill stations. But this specific dsg (dq200) is a dry clutch transmission compared to other wet clutch dsg from Volkswagen group dry clutch is not that reliable . But Volkswagen claims they have improved the reliability in latest models.

AC is actually much better than the 1.0 TSI, all the major AC related issues are only faced in 1.0 TSI
