I remember watching it when it first came out. My friends and I were at school at the same time aswell. After every episode (you had to wait a full week back then) that's all we talked about for days after lol.😂. Plus, every group of friends has a Jay, Neil etc. Brilliant

Solution - just say no to any arranged "double dates" right there and then, soon as they tell you. They're nonsense. Avoids all the other crap happening after wards. But the characters in this show have to say yes, otherwise this wouldn't be the Inbetweeners!

Inbetweeners writer admits show is based on his life
Iain Morris, co-creator of the Inbetweeners, has admitted to basing geeky main character Will McKenzie on himself.
He also revealed that co-creator Damon Beesley was the inspiration for awkward teenager Simon, and that watching the series being filmed was like "deja vu."
Morris told BBC Radio 5 live's Phil Williams: "I think Simon Bird has made me out to be worse than I was... but a lot of the things that happened particularly in Series 1 did really happen to me.
"Luckily the Inbetweeners came along when I could base a character on my life - otherwise it would have been a series of quite embarrassing things to happening to me with no real upside."
Will was totally right to call Jay out about it to be fair. But the joke only works if he gets upset. Love the reaction guys!

I’m an expat living in TX since I was a teen. I couldn’t get anyone to watch this show for years. They had it on NF for a while but I watched it on bbc America. So, thanks so much for giving me a chance to watch it again with friends. Love y’all so much 👑 & 👸 😊

Watching these reminds me how ruthless mates can be with eachother for instance one of my friends had a secret little house party when his parents went away for the weekend, only about 20 people and nothing got too out of hand and a fair few even helped clean up the following morning so his parents would be none the wiser. Anyway the parents and his older sister came home and everything was good untill his mum had a shower, both her and his sister had blonde hair and someone had mixed bottles of green food colouring in with the shampoo.

It's weird, I used to think this was one of the weaker episode, but watching it with you both is so much more enjoyable and the episode has me in tears 😂😂😂

Love your reactions! It’s great watching The Inbetweeners again. Random fact; the scenes at ‘Waterside’ were filmed at my local shopping centre. My friend and I were there when they were filming the bit where Jay shouts “Gilbert!” and they run off - good times!
So funny seeing EC Bates motorcycle shop. I was a mechanic at this place 5 years before this was filmed. Unbelievable. Bike shop was in Dartford, not Gillingham

Many times have I seen or heard about kids yelling teachers names when your at the shopping center and running off like Jay and Neil did. Also the way Gilbert gave out more weeks of detention every time Jay contested is so common at schools in Australia and great Britain 😆
