Something about that slight stutter just takes me back. Is there a way to make modern FFXIV do that? Like I don't want action lag but I want that slight stutter
When I played FFIV in its beginnings, it was not possible to walk through an open world like this. I saw a riverbank an wanted to run down to sit there - impossible, an invisible wall hindered me. So I quitted the game. Interesting that they came back to open world later.
I do not miss how confusing the maps were in 1.0 and the horrendous lag but maybe that was just my laptop at the time not really being able to handle the game after the early 2 weeks release was done. Otherwise 1.0 was quite beautiful.
It was very difficult to get there. I should have recorded how I actually got to that point since the mobs were ?? level at the time and instakilled you if you aggro.

fascinating. The tower was always there
Unless you're talking about the crystal tower, I think that's a garlean ship and not a tower.
Talk about a blast from the past
The maps in 1.0 weren't...great....but I do appreciate the old Mor Dhona letting you go around Silvertear Lake in it's entirety. For having such a notable part of the story in 2.0 it's kind of hard to get a good look at the Keeper of the Lake in game nowadays
Something about that slight stutter just takes me back.
Is there a way to make modern FFXIV do that?
Like I don't want action lag but I want that slight stutter
I only got into the game once Shadowbringers released and seeing this reminds me how much I missed out on 😭
This is awesome!
Damn cant they add the old graphics back to the current game? Pretty sure computers can handle it now.
youre so right, that looks so like Howl's Moving Castle
So that's what it looked like back then.
damn they should have kept the walking animations, feels way more natural and immersive than what we have
When I played FFIV in its beginnings, it was not possible to walk through an open world like this. I saw a riverbank an wanted to run down to sit there - impossible, an invisible wall hindered me. So I quitted the game. Interesting that they came back to open world later.
1.0 is so fascinating
Oh god that 1.0 map. The game was just a series of linked mazes, not a lot of fun to explore
Don't know why this got recommend to me but I'm not complaining.
bro the graphics were even better then compared to todays
I do not miss how confusing the maps were in 1.0 and the horrendous lag but maybe that was just my laptop at the time not really being able to handle the game after the early 2 weeks release was done.
Otherwise 1.0 was quite beautiful.
this video ROCKS
I'm so mad 1.0 didn't work on my computer, I would have loved to explore the map.
It was very difficult to get there. I should have recorded how I actually got to that point since the mobs were ?? level at the time and instakilled you if you aggro.
All I want is MSAA back in the engine.
The algorithm is sentient.
I wonder if those shorts you're wearing is in the game because it looks so nice
I do find it funny even today people have their own characters name over their heads... like they will forget who they are if they turn it off?
for me its more of a nostalgia thing. Every MMO i've played until this point has had the nametag above their head, so seeing the nametag above their head makes me happy
Yeah,c razy it suggested this to me too. I wonder what that is way back there?
Good ol days
I still have the same Onion Helm.
I wish i got to experience 1.0. My bad for starting in 2019 i guess 🤷♂🤷♂
Ah hello old theme how I've missed you
Thanks CZcams, for making me feel old again
At first glance i thought it was dragon's dogma😂. The graphic and the moveset are so different.
So why do they call it Silvertear Falls if its actually a lake that is not connected to any waterfalls?
I hate that I'm so desensitized to things like this
"Moments later, an enormous meteor struck, killing everyone." RIP in pieces 1.0
ladies and gentleman, the algorythm has brought us here on this faithful day
Wow!
CZcams algorithm strikes back. Thanks for this recommendation xD
Wait, is the music synced to the change in weather??
Thank you for this i have a strange Obsession with ff14 1.0 so much so i look around the current 14 for any rements of 1.0
No problem! At the time when I knew that the end was near, I had to record it to look back on how far the game has come.
Visually impressive at what an MMO *COULD* look like, but unfortunately, the FPS slowdowns are horrendous even for it's time. I can see why people didn't like it as much (even tho the visuals are absurdly better than ARR).
Idk why this was recomended to me but whats the deep lore of this thing?
