The signals with lines are Bus signals and work similar to trams. You should stop if - is displayed and go if | is displayed.
Where I live there articulated buses on the major streets which are pretty much straight and have the countdowns. Almost every driver clips the curb or drives up it on tight turns.

OMSI 2 always freezes for a few seconds when I stop fully, every time! Maps don't work (only got 1 to work), I will need to watch ur previous stream. But I would love to play this again.
lower the settings I tended to have that problem and now I use lower settings suggested by RioLetsPlays and my game works so well now :)
